    I’m with you about the bathroom. If it doesn’t have one I don’t go.. I used to have a boat and we had a porta potty too. But you might think about a composting toilet. Love your renovation.

    Came over from your cross-stitch video. Love, love your camper!!!! Growing up, my family camped in a tent on every vacation rather than staying in motels. As a family of 6, we couldn't afford that luxury!! I loved it, though!!! I miss it so very much!!! You are so very fortunate that you have an extremely handy husband to do all of the renovation on your camper!!!!! Hope you have fun on your trip!!!

      @@adventuresofthememorymakers I'm so sorry to hear of Wilson's passing; I know all too well what you're feeling. I had my little dog for 13 years, got him at 8 weeks old. When his time came, it just about did me in. I still can hardly bear to look at his picture. They can sure leave a hole in your heart that never seems to heal.

      @@wendysmobilehomesweethome423 yes they do. I just mowed grass and got chocked up when I went past Wilson's grave. He is right next to his brother Edward, our black lab we lost in 2019. They were quite the pair and are now together forever.

    Beautiful job! I love everything. Lots of talent going on here. You’re way too modest. That canopy is perfect!! I agree the bathroom is the luxury that borders on necessity. Just found your channels this weekend. As a fellow quilter, embroidery 🧵 and camping enthusiast, seemed a good fit. We bough5 our first camper 2014 finding our best fit was a Airstream Bambi. Bought new at end of season but bought used SUV to tow. Camping out west many times led us to purchase a downsized home out west near Tahoe in 2019. You did a fantastic job on your vintage camper Reno.

      Thank you very much for you comment. Sounds like an awesome setup. We are hoping to get out your way next year as Cindy really wants to check out Crater Lake and I want to kayak with the whales in the San Juan islands. We're heading up to the northeast corner this year. Go to check out the north woods and the Catskills. Happy camping and Stitch On!

    Am so impressed with your all's vision and execution --- first-class! Love the old Shastas so a pleasure to see them out and about.. And a ramp for the pupster -- he's a doll and a lucky boy! I have subscribed and look forward to your future content. I'm a former teardrop owner (2007-17) and after several intervening years of tent camping am shopping for a truck and canopy camper and trying to figure out whether to get another trailer -- teardrop, Aliner, cargo-conversion (to haul a motorcycle, bicycle, canoe). That Dickinson heater is impressive, I first saw them used in Alu-Cab canopy campers and did not know that they were designed for boats. Very nice craftsmanship configuring it for your Shasta.

    It's rather awkward 2c the heater over the padded bench. Isn't it a fire hazzard?

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers  Год назад

      Heat rises, so the padded bench never gets any warmer than room temp. The heater had specific offset distances away from combustible material that we met when we installed it. It was designed to be used on sailboats in cramped confines, so it works well in a tiny camper. It's definitely not for everyone, but we love it!
