- MY BOYFRIEND & I FINALLY REMODELED THE TRAILER!
This has been a dream of mine for a long time & it turned out exactly how I imagined.
Neither of us have ever done this before, but this VLOG will show you that it is possible & you can revamp your trailer too. You will see our process, our mistakes, what was difficult, what was fun, etc. All the work we did is “cosmetic”, meaning it requires no construction. These techniques are also “rental friendly” which you can translate to an apartment or house.
FULL KITCHEN & BATHROOM MAKEOVER.
There are 3 main parts to this video: PAINT, BACKSPLASH, & COUNTERTOP.
My artist brain + Cole’s handyman logistical brain + 1 week of our hard work = NEW TRAILER VIBES! We equally worked together on this project & I am so proud of the outcome!
We had our cushions reupholstered & we will be installing new floors soon, which is why I only show the kitchen & bathroom. I’ll VLOG that process for a separate video.

Nice job! It came out looking better than new. Good luck with the fire service career. It served me well for over 32 yrs!
Primer is a stain blocker and helps the paint adhere. It won’t necessarily cover completely but it will keep the color from coming through to the paint color. There should be no need for more then one coat of primer. Just FYI for anyone considering painting cabinets.
I wish you would have started this when you bought your house I would have loved to see the full remodel of that 😭 but as always love your shiiiz 💕

Thanks for inspiring me this morning at 4 am, after not sleeping and watching RUclips, to drive home 3 hours from college to trailer it back down here to do something similar.
I'm diving in head first and dont know where to start. This is the start of the rest of our lives your video brings me so so much hope.
The trick to the contact paper is Windex. Yes, Windex. Squirt countertop and place paper. It allows for movement as necessary and it dries up and allows the contact to stick. Easy peasy!!

This gave me lots of inspiration ideas! We bought a camper for my grandpa and he just went in and destroyed it, and we want to fix it up nice and sell it and now I’ve got lots of ideas on what to do!

I've done it 3.5 times... the half is still sitting in my dining room for over a year. I'm a female with a background in custom conversion vans , boats, and manufacturing new travel trailers. I have never done a plane but it is on my bucket list. All that said manufacturing something new versus restoring something is a huge difference. OMG.... the work. I've also done magazine cover cars and trucks back in the day but restoring an RV is soooooo much work. Not to mention 9 out of 10 have some form of water damage. That is where the half comes in again, it is a Class C with so much water damage and I got so busy with other projects that I just put it on hold . Be careful what you buy people.... another note label things as you remove them.... oh and I recommend Krud Kutter ( the have a product that removes laminate coating ) making it much easier but still time consuming as Hell to paint. I've done 2 vintage Airstreams and 1.5 Class C's. I'm currently considering being a Nomad for a few years, but I've considered this for 14 years now and something always changes my plans. Big props to you Nat. I know how tedious it is. Great job, you have a good eye. Also just want to mention I doubled the budget on the last Class C as there was so much water damage, I ended up using decorative foam tiles on the ceiling. Which btw were also a pain in the ass to paint. Happy travels.

I used Benjamin Moore Advanced for furniture and cabinets. Has a sealer in it. Fabulous stuff.

Turned out good y'all 🤘 Getting ready to makes some changes in our new to us toy hauler, I am in construction so it shouldn't be too bad. One pointer for the next time though, you can have your primer tinted when you purchase it so that your paint coverage is much better with less coats. Most the wanna be paint experts at Home Depot or Lowe's won't suggest it because like it's a whole extra step they have to do. Nice job though, looks a good !

My toyhauler is very similar and about to tackle a planned reno around my hospital schedule. Where did you get the liquid sandpaper? Loathe prep but know it's necessary.

What Im looking for is there's a big opening for storage in one side bunk area i want ideas how to convert to outside entertainment and sold out cook stove I have. I want to remove 2 bunks Andy convert to my man cave hangout.

Instead of painting you could of saved yourself time and energy and just wrapped the cabinet's. Also try the cheapest wallpaper you can find and just chalk paint over and seal. Done in less time than the process shown.

Had you used the right paint for the cabinets ...you wouldn't have to put a top coat..Behr makes an Alkyd paint that is water based but has the same attributes of oil. It self levels and leaves an outstanding hard finish....stop putting that top coat crap on your white cabinets...even if it's water based it will YELLOW in time. I do love the outcome though...great job.
