When I first started witnessing to people I thought I could lay out a rational case and show evidence and build from logic. I quickly found that the problem is primarily spiritual. We are literally blinded until the Holy Spirit draws us in and reveals who Jesus is. The apologetics info that I had was useful for people already hearing the call and being drawn in, but for most they couldn’t see and didn’t have ears to hear.

Evidentialists, like Josh McDowell, believe that if we just give the pagans enough evidence that they will be overwhelmed with the truth and make their verdict to live for God. (Rom. 1:18-23) reveals this is not the case. We all know God already exists. We rebel because we want to do life "our way!" We want to be the god that rules our life. We want to be our own law-makers!
Knowing of God totally different than to KNOW GOD.

You _cannot_ know that God exists from Roman 1:18 to 1:23. It is not a proper scientific way to know the truth of your claim.
You can't just look at nature and assume that God created it. "We all know God already exists." is not correct. That's assuming the conclusion. You don't get correct results by assuming things without evidence.
Assuming that God created it rules out other possible explanations, including eternal existence, maybe aliens created human life, maybe the properties of the universe leads to life. Why even assume that things are created? None of these things are proven yet, and neither is the existence of God. We don't know yet.

I think it’s one thing-a fair one-to question the the existence of God. But it’s an entirely different one to reject God’s existence based on an argument hinged upon, so called, lack of evidence. The suckling infant doesn’t stare into its mother’s eyes asking, “I need objective evidence you care, ma’am.” The child is wired to KNOW(ledge)!

Are you serious? The child can see its mother although, I understand, imperfectly. No deity has given such evidence of its existence.

Where is the crystal clear knowledge that I have? How do I find it? Is it even possible to find God with my own will? And if not how is that just? Which would make the gospel irrational I think. Can you point to a clear representation of how to find this Knowledge and become a Christian (again if I lost my salvation by doubting)? My heart may not want to follow Jesus (I’m not sure of my true desires if they’re different from what I’m aware of(if deep down I actually hate God and so he took my knowledge of him then I don’t know that now)), but If the Bible is true I don’t want to go to hell so how can I come back and fix my heart? I’m pretty sure biblically I can’t, but Jesus can right? How do I do it? Do I have to want it bad enough? How can I change what I want? I want to be free from the puzzle and finally figure out truth. But I’m skeptical. I’ve prayed to God, asked for forgiveness, for him to stop me from wanting the wrong thing and to cleanse my heart of wickedness so that I can follow him. I think I’m sincere when I do, but of course if I can’t actually know anything about myself including the most fundamental thing which is knowledge of the creator of the Bible is true so what am I supposed to do here? Is the answer to go be around Christians and isolate myself from the world? If I did that I’m sure I’d believe because of group bias. I’m sure I could do the same thing with naturalists. I don’t think that’s a good way of finding truth, but what is? If there’s an esoteric knowledge that’s achievable and I could know that God is God how can I achieve it? If my previous prayers didn’t work do I need to do sacraments? I’ve been baptized twice. I did grow up baptist are they just wrong? I’ve tried to look into other versions of Christianity, but my family would rather me go to church with them. I’m convicted sometimes, but how am I supposed to factor out indoctrination when I inevitably test my beliefs? Is testing my beliefs part of the problem? If I’m not allowed to test it how am I supposed to be justified in believing it? I have a tremendous fear of hell and I’m not willing to pretend to be a christian just so that my family will be happy. I want to know (I’m pretty sure I do anyway) again I doubt my own mind just as much as I doubt God. More or less, but I think more. I don’t know which came first, but Romans 1:28 kind of says that. What am I supposed to do?
First, I want you to take heart that you are indeed saved and justified through faith because you are asking these questions. An unbeliever’s heart is callous and loves the world more than God *(James 4:8)*. You are speaking of sanctification. Righteousness is not perfection. Righteousness is falling down and sinning but getting back up and not only trusting in Gods grace, but personally going to him to ask for forgiveness which he will give you since your heart is contrite *(Psalm 37:23-24)*. I know how you feel. The questions of life: Why am I here on Earth?, Why do I do the things I know are wrong yet I want to please Christ? *(Romans 7:15-25)*, Am I sure of my salvation?, Can someone lose their salvation or were they never saved in the beginning? IS GOD REAL? Etc.
Next, QUESTION EVERYTHING. You will get to the TRUTH, not my truth, not your truth, the TRUTH *(James 1:5-6)*. You need to be able to tell someone why you believe what you believe and the only way you will do that is by challenging yourself and preconceptions *(1 Peter 3:15)*. Surround yourself with a Christian community or bible study group and ask questions. Yearn for the truth. Many people get in a Christian bubble and believe everything they are told. Then when trials and tribulations come, they have nothing to stand on since their faith is built on sand *(Proverbs 14:15)*. Go into the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit, is this true? Is this really what this means? Are they reading what they want to hear in the text or is the Truth something else?
Next and most importantly, God wants you to know him intimately. In Church today, a lot of people sit in a pew, take everything the pastor says as fact, and not form a personal relationship with God. He wanted that from the beginning with Adam but he chose the option other than God and since we come from Adam, we inherent a sinful nature. Abide in Christ and talk with him like a friend *(Hebrews 4:15-16)*. Always set your heart on him. You will begin to feel his presence as you walk through life with him.
Lastly, Christ did not come to abolish the law but fulfil it. The Law points to the fact that we need a savior. We cannot do it under our own power. We try and try and fail continuously but as we get closer to God we sin less frequently as our minds and hearts are turned towards him. That’s sanctification and it’s a lifelong process. It doesn’t happen overnight. The hardest thing for all humans to do is trust in something other than ourselves and if He claims to be who He says He is, then He is the answer. My prayer is to continually to strive to be like Christ so his will and my will become one. We have our own desires and some of them are good and have been placed there and preordained by the Man himself but our problem is that we don’t know the process on how to get there and we begin to doubt which is natural. Personally, I take joy in the fact that the Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent God is so vast in knowledge that I can spend my whole earthly life getting closer to him and gaining wisdom. I have grown a lot as a person in my time here on earth and other people see the presence of God through me.
If you can’t find a Christian community that is strong and places emphasis on being biblically sound and finding the truth, I would look into apologetics online for the answers to most existential questions. Frank Turek of the ‘Cross Examined’ channel and ‘AskCliffe’ are good places to begin. Again, listen to what they say, then go into the Bible yourself and test what they say against the word of God and the wisdom he has given you. Just because someone holds a title doesn’t mean they have every answer. There are some things I disagree with Frank about and I continually try to strive for the truth as well.
Also, as you search for truth, you will find 3 main protestant theological systems which are Provisionism, Arminianism, and Reformed/Calvinism which Ligonier Ministries holds true. Start from the word of God first, then find the Truth from the Bible with context. Sometimes we have our own preconceived notions and we read into the text what we want to be true making it false. I myself lean more toward Provisionism since Calvinism greatly diminishes our ability to choose but test those belief systems as well. But I would caution yourself on that since that can get pretty heavy and technical and all three theological systems all hold true that Yeshua is Christ Lord so don’t get too caught up in their disagreements in the beginning.
I strongly commend you for not wanting to 'Play Christian' and seek after him. May God reveal himself to you and bless you because of your desire for him.
You would think that atheists would try to deal with the undeniable fact that everything could not come from nothing by inventing their own god who is intelligent but is not the God of the Bible. So why don’t they do this?
They won’t do this because they know that once they enter the arena of the fact that there is a God, they lose. They cannot make up a god who can compete with the One True God of the Bible, so they just refuse to enter that arena of thought, and deny that there is any God at all.

Romans 1:20 is not a valid as a scientific approach. This verse or set of verses is also known as "general revelation", which is you can know that God exists by looking at nature.
