+Javier Castro ¡Hey! ¿Has probado - Cultivos Zammu increíble Efectivo (búscalo en google)? He oído algunas cosas interesantes sobre el tema y mi cooworker obtuvo resultados interesantes con él.
im already on my way to getting paid to play video games!... after this summer, im taking advanced animation class and video game design II class! plus u get extra college cradit for graphic designing! :D
No I'm not feel like I look stupid, in my country, Indonesia, we use "." (dot) for money instead of "," (coma). Do you know that lots of other countries in europe and asia use dot instead of coma? If you're european or asian, there's nothing wrong with my comment XD
You spend at least a year, even more most of the time, playing through the same game with different builds, over and over. You don't get paid much. Your time isn't spent playing the game really - you're just finding ways to 'break' it, and that's not really all that enjoyable once it gets serious, and then you have to document all of that shit. You're probably not going to be testing a game that you actually enjoy. All ways working in over time. Stuff like that. You're better off trying your luck in the developing team.
I got into CS in college because of thid video.. I was so comfused about my major, but when i watched this 4 years ago I realised what I wanted to become...but after getting deep into the subject, i realised games are the scum of computers, there is so much more to see, but people are just too lazy to care...but thanks for the how to..helped me with my life.
this thorough process makes sense. I don't know how I landed on this page, as I do not play video games and nor do I plan to, but for those of you who will want to pursue a career in video gaming, this video sounds like a good road to go down.
no but I've read plenty about it from people who do game testing. All you do is constantly try to find bugs and glitches and when you do find one, you have to log every single thing you did that may have caused the glitch or bug to happen. It's not a fun thing like sitting at home and getting to play video games all day the way they are supposed to be played.
@atastywanton Beta testing is what companies use to get consumer input without paying for all the time and space it would take to hold a focus group, which generates a smaller pool of data from a group that may or may not even be interested in that genre begin with. I think it's fair to say that that beta testers are the next step after actual in house testers who know the ins and outs of testing every aspect of the game and push the programming to cause fatal errors and crashes. As beta tester, we chosen few thousands just test the gameplay, story, visual appeal, difficulty (how long it takes to progress through the story or gain levels, gain in-game currency to keep up gear, etc). Besides, it's cheaper to allow you to keep your beta data or give you perks or in-game promos or whatever it may be along those kinda lines, than it is to pay you to spend a day or a week or a month trying it and paying for a space for focus groups and paying travel, and accommodations and etc.
Depends what game. Sometimes the developers don't mind, but sometimes they do. You can always upload video games to youtube, but some video games you cannot monetize videos of.
I play all kinds of games such as skyrim, cod, battlefield, wet, bulletstorm, mirrors edge, and etc. And I love giving constructive criticism about a games story, the voice acting, everything. I could do this.

Not helpful at all bc you need to have a skill to be a good not even great at video games. If you do want to be a pro gamer then you need to be 10x better than good
Try playing the same game or genre of game everyday seriously for upwards of 6 hours. Doing video games for a job sucks out a lot of the fun of playing. It's not easy.
Let me help you, skerim is a icelandic band basketball rim and mincraft is a game that you have to craft minutes. Also, the day only has 25 hours if you're crazy or never went to school. Is that better.
I tried writing a review of Dante's Inferno once, it wasn't half-bad actually. I stand by that. Anyway, I wrote 2 fairly known (dutch) magazines an email saying I was interested in a job as a reviewer, if they had any open spots. Both of them asked a review which they would evaluate. Within 2 or 3 days I had completed the game and send the reviews over. I never got a reply from any of them. A few days after not getting a reply, I sent them again... And again... And then I gave up. Maybe later?
this you will need step 1 you need money step 2 go to the nearest gamestop store or stores that you can buy a games and your done you get now a paid games that you buy
You need to be a QA to be a video game tester and being a QA isn't just playing video games you need to know how to program so that you can know how the game broke and how to fix it.
If that were the case, you'd see a ton more RUclips gaming stars pop up - as it was in the beginning due to a small supply of RUclipsr gamers and a high demand from audience members. The only way you'll earn that traffic is if you do something that hasn't been done before, making you unique over the same old commentators before you.
You are a real hardcore gamer and I respect that I wish I could play games all day really I didn't mean that it was unhealthy you can play as much as you want I just meant that it is a lot of gameplay that I dont always have time for but if you have time for it then go right ahead and enjoy. I am in Gr 11 (almost Gr12) so I lack the luxury of time to play games that long. But hopefully one day I will. PS I meant no offense to anybody with my last comment
Well I'm homeschooled and my area has nobody my age so I usually finish that and then game for another 10-16 hours so I'm a professional game "no" lifer player lol. On a side note, just get partnered with a RUclips network and make money off of video game uploads.
Who are people to tell me how much video games I can play a day? I play around that much a day and I'm still healthy, as long as you find time for outside stuff and exercise, there's nothing wrong with that much game time
Hey, have you wondered this program called the Intellitus Cash System? (look for it on google). My friend says it gets people plenty of cold hard cash.
i play only video games in my life sinse i was 4 years old 12 hours a day or maybe 14 on pc and console and i have builded my own pc for 2000$ and also im very pro on each new game came out!
U hav to earn partnership, U cant just film your screen. And the only channel I know that has JUST gameplay (no commentary) is clayman90. And if you want to commentate then your gonna have to get a good microphone. Your also gonna have to be entertaining.... So its not easy. But I do agree with you that you'd be better of trying make money from youtube.
This is a pretty good video, but i feel like its really hard to become a pro. Alot of people play games and test them to make money. Thats what I do and i make a pretty good amount actually. There's a website that you can become a member of
Mom: go do your homework! Little Jimmy: Why? Mom: Because you need good grades to get a good job and make money Little Jimmy: The hell I do! I'm training for my next job right now! Mom: You gonna get a job playing video games? Little Jimmy: You gonna pay for college? Mom walks away.
No smart one, it's $10,000. They wrote "$10.000", notice the three 0's. If they had used two, you would have been correct. Some people use a period (.) instead of a comma (,) when representing place value.
How school can screw up your chances of a gaming career - 1- forcing you to get up early when you need sleep after many training hours 2- with the amount of homework teachers give it's IMPOSSIBLE to have half enough training time 3- bullies will mess with you by pushing down on the ds cartridge

Where is step 8 for trading hats in TF2?
I am like a pro in Battlefield 3, almost every game I go, I dominate the entire match, still not getting paid.
Battlefield isn't an esport
Your Mum Make me a sandwich
+Galan L you dont have to be pro to get paid just look at majority of youtubers

Galan L
or just go to college and get a degree like me. Trust me college is fun.
my 18 year old brother makes games and he doesn't get payed!
HEY YOU LIED TO MEEEE!
He doesn't charge for them now does he? You have to be selling your games to get paid, that's common knowledge.
Was interested till I saw the kids perk and how he sprayed and prayed on COD4 :/
i dont think there are any game companies in south carolina and if there are either they dont need game testers or ive just never heard of them

You have to pretty much find the gaming company first and then start from the bottom. I wish they make telelporters soon.
@cristiano messi what console do you play? does your console/pc overheat and jam? your eyes doesnt get tired when you for too long?
or you can start on youtube, get a partnership with big gaming companies(machinima, ign, nsquared, etc) and get paid

I believe I've heard the same thing, and really I wouldn't imagine why someone would pay you to simply play the video game for your own enjoyment.
Or twitch tv or other pod-casting sites. so you can do live and recorded sessions.
Please tell me how Brawl and Wii Tennis require professional skill?

You making videos makes you money, you playing video games just gives you something to make a video about.
There are also awesome jobs like concept artist, 3D modeller/generalist, illustrator, UI interface designer and etc... but a nice video nonetheless.
Those require a degree or a lot of experience.
Lrdvltr neither are a must, you need the skills and the know how.
Danny Kundzinsh What do you suggest? A portfolio of your work? Like a sample webpage with adobe photoshop and flash creations?
Lrdvltr a strong portfolio and marketing, some connections in the industry helps a lot too which you get by meeting people in conventions and such.
Danny Kundzinsh Thank you

Difference between playing to get better and playing to have fun.
That Xbox 360 controller looks so similar color-wise to Dreamcast's...
Did you read the first word?
It said "Nearly"
Depends if your good at it. If you play that long I guess you probably are good at what ever game you're playing.
But you need to play the games in order to capture a video.

I guarentee that I can beat a "professional" at SSBB (Not trying to brag but I'm just saying technique is EVERYTHING)
it says nearly
the stat said nearly 3 out of 4 which means less, which is less than 75%
it also said in the video "Nearly 3 out of 4" which is where the 72% comes into play.
Playing video games is a life and a job that I really really want

Not as easy as you think - Especially with all the RUclipsrs who are competing amongst each other. On top of that, once you have your RUclips Ad privileges removed, due to whatever reason of infringement - You can say good bye to RUclips as a source of income, for good.
