UPDATE 12/20/2022 Mastercomfig has updated and now no longer seperates the download for vpk's and the cfg folder. Now you only have to download a zip file, and place the tf folder in your Steam/SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2 folder.
@@SilvaWolf. Yes. What you can do also to find the Team Fortress 2 folder easily is to: 1. Open Steam 2. Go to your Library 3. Scroll the list on the left to find Team Fortress 2 4. Right-Click on Team Fortress 2 5. Hover over 'Manage'. 6. Click on 'Browse Local Files' File Explorer should open automatically, hope this helps!
@shadoweyesv2 Yeah. So what you want to do with that, if you have windows 10, is open it with File Explorer. Then do the steps I have above. If that doesn't work, you can just download WinRAR. Its free.
Thanks for this, though I'd like to clarify a misunderstanding I had too. You don't need to upgrade if you have and AMD CPU and you want better FPS, ever since the 3000 series of processors AMD has had roughly the same performance than Intel. Also, it's not 2017 anymore and the fastest CPUs for TF2 are actually the 7000X3D CPUs with extra cache by AMD, beating even the 13900k while using massively less power, according to hardware unboxed.
It generally depends on IPC(Instructions per clock), 12th gen intel processors generally have the highest ipc/single core performance but ryzen 5000 isn't too far off and their platform is a bit more forgiving in terms of price, but don't have an upgrade path. (12th gen《ryzen 5000) (Ryzen 5000《 over 11th gen and below) Edit: also graphics cards unless it's really old/underpowered won't make a difference.
Been looking for people who also have problems with this config. It breaks my game. Makes MVM menus unreadable, and makes the brightness randomly change from 2 to 5. Removed the config and the problem stayed around make me reinstall the game completely. I just want a steady 144 fps but I dont think I'll ever get that until I upgrade my specs.
AMD current gen 3 chips are relatively the same if not better then Intel in single core and multi core so it won't matter what you choose. In your case it's cause you have an old amd cpu
hey man, i'm using masterconfig medium-low and getting a weird fog in the distance, wich is really anoying to see snipers, do you know anything about it? If there is any fix? i was looking for it on some sites but didn't got any solutions
sorry for the nechro but do you only get the modules . cfg with direct install? i've checked/redownloaded a few times since watching, and only get the vpks
I have a question, I downloaded the files, and I saw that there are no facial expressions on my characters, I tried everything (or I just didn't do it correctly), and I couldnt fix the issue, please help :(
I do believe that depending on the present, facial expressions become disabled. Choose a higher preset, and then customize your options on the mastercomfig website
Dude really talks slowly and then speedruns the part that matters (how to get to the page where it shows which graphical options affect what) Nvm: you just click the pop up button lol

So how do I delete the old files? I'm in tf/custom and there's a workshop folder with a Readme text file. Is that the old mastercomfig file?
Now all you have todo to get true better performance without sacrifices, play it in 2024, after the x64 update
Instructions unclear, fed old lady laxatives
what the hell

HUB never did a TF2 benchmark with that CPU...
Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to use this later 😊
