  • Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder, is now available wherever books are sold: www.huffingtonpost.com/thrive
I had my personal wakeup call on April 6, 2007, when I found myself on the floor in a pool of blood. I had collapsed from exhaustion, breaking my cheekbone and cutting my eye. I was working eighteen-hour days to build The Huffington Post, while being a mom to my two teenage daughters. What this wake-up call taught me was that even though I was considered successful by our society's conventional measures of success, I was not living a successful life by any sane definition of success. Something had to radically change in my life.
I've written Thrive to share my personal journey and further the conversation on our collective need to redefine success so we can thrive, not just succeed.

Thank you for your message and your vision. I hope both women and men will hear it. I personally think it's time to hand the reins of world power to women for a few centuries - it's men who have created this false perception of success and the exclusion of women from power that has brought the world to its current place.

I'm there. I am looking at working at home. With the computer abilities today I can take my knowledge of Human Resources and help small employers keep up on all Federal & State laws. Be actively jinvolved with work Como claims by representing small companies. I enjoyed HR much more than accounting . I was tested by a psychologist on, where my work interests were plus my I.Q. of 148 even after a horrible car accident. I have the ability to use to use both sides of brain effectively. I thought I was an introvert all 20 someone years of 34 years in Oil and Gas. I'm an extrovert. Ha! I would beg that I would be inter comes that I had a business call. So funny!

many years i worked 7 days a week 12 hours per day (roughly). what i ended up with was a very small amount of memory of my daughter growing up. the other thing that i got from it was lag bolts behind my right knee cap, a t-plate in my left wrist with 13 screws, and a heart attack. i had many more but these were my worst. all work related from exhaustion. my marriage suffered also but we are still together. But there is not many good times to look back on. where i worked our workforce was reduced and more work was added. for years our employees were forced to work 60 to 80 hours per week with no days of rest. we had so many injuries that they started punishing us for having an accident. there were many divorces and a lot of neglected children that we saw later having problems in school and in life. i am sure kraft heinz made huge profits but at a cost of humans and their families. also a special thanks to warren buffit (anti american).

So the secret to success and being happy is to buy your book and allow you to become more wealthy while doing less? Sounds legit...
