Henning, you really didn't need to make a video to prove you could help me build my own studio desk-just asking would've been enough! But now that I've seen it, you definitely get my seal of approval. Consider yourself the chosen one to make the trip from Germany to Sevilla to help me do the same. Truly grateful for your friendship, mate. You're the best!
Hanning. I don't always agree with what you say. but I want you around for a while. Please wear a mask for when cut wood with an electric saw. Great set up by the way.
Excellent stuff Henning. But Holy crap I shoot my videos with an old phone and edit in a pc lol. This is so a completely different universe 😂😂😂😂
That was one of your best ever shows. My studio is a mix of IKEA, local hardware store and stuff I had in previous studios
Great work everybody!
Henning, you're the Bob Villa of studio builds. US reference, not sure if you know who that is. Thanks for documenting all this!
Thanks Rich… I DO know who that is
That empty room you started with is bigger than my entire apartment !
Jesus, I feel sorry for you. My kitchen is bigger than the empty room lol (the one with the green walls).
I have to build a rack for my stuff. I just have to start. Thanks for the motivation to finally get going. Ab zu Bauhaus!
Lovely work, Henning and Leslie!
For height I buy adjustable legs to screw them under the cabinets. I also screw legs to planks and made movable shelves on top of my table. But I prefer cabinets on wheels so I can relocate them as needed (and put my feet on top lol). Loved the TV holders - cheaper then Arctic, less flexible though. I love the USB hub hole, I've never seen one before! Hinged boards! Velcro! Clever stuff! Great video, loved the builds and I learned a trick or two for myself too! Thank you! :)
Really like the floors. Looks awesome.
Kinda handy. It's great❤ when many goes from experience.
When I've used those roundy cables through the desk thingy - mess was even worse. As they were exactly where they shouldn't 😅
Big kid lego!!! 😊😊😊
Ventilation is important that equipment needs to breathe!
I don’t see a dog bed under that desk, that is a requirement!!!! 🐶
WOW, That's gives me ideas for my own studio desk
A herculean massive job, very inspiring.
Excellent work sir. I'm saving this video for a future desk build of my own 👏👏👏👏👏
Your customized desks look great. Thanks for sharing the build process.
Being in that space switching and working with the team was really a wonderful experience not just how well thought out it was in functionality work flow but also how aesthetically pleasing the space was. My fav space at Gear street. Love seeing these behind the scenes of what went into Studio C. Well done it was Herculean job 👏 ❤
Thanks Jo!!!!!
Wow, Papillon is a great Handy Man...awesome!
Desks turned out incredible noice! You crushed it! 🤘🔥
Fascinating and some really great idesa!
Excellent work buddy! I can tell tou have no idea how funny you are. Very entertaining educational and informative, thank you from Chicago
Your setup is so clean! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Great job henning 😜
WOW Henning!! Thank you for sharing you wisdom.
That's amazing
nice work :)
the holesaws get dull because they get to hot. And they get hot because there is no way for the sawdust to go. So you can drill a hole on the inside of the circle to give the sawdust a place to eject, gives you longer lifetime of the holesaw and probably a faster cutting speed ;)
And in my opinion you can get rid of the center foot if you put a squaretube oder angle iron across the racks and bolt it to the countertop. Maybe somthing for future builds :D
I thought about the bar connecting the racks to not have a foot, but the foot was so much easier and doesn’t bother me.
Great tip for the hole saw… I‘ll try that next time.
That setup is no joke Henning...great vision and execution. Well done!
Gern geschehen!
Super Video Henning👌Du hast mir viele wertvolle Tipps und Tricks verraten. Vielen Dank und ein schönes Wochenende
HP you are the true master of the Diy - Heimwerkermarkt! I love to see you working😅. You get an extra design price for the tiles in the kitchen behind you. ❤ I had the same in my house😂...
This is awesome nerd content I love it.
Love this! Gives me idea(s) for my own office work desk
Very cool, Henning! A job well done.
What a great service you are to the community ,thanks for sharing your inventiveness in anything that you do :)
I build custom furniture, Conference tables, desks, etc. I plan to build my own studio one of these days.
nice! I am sure yours will be much nicer than what we could do.
Na toll xD Jetzt guck ich nach einem neuen Setup... und werf jede Menge in meinen Bauhaus und Amazon Warenkorb 🤣
So soll es sein!
This is awesome. Next time before you do it, get the German company Festool to send you a track saw and sponsor. This is a perfect at home track saw project. Oh, toss the pallette. Lol. So well done tho!
Very professional great work, nice lego block sweat shirt
Great video, most of which is applicable even to my home office desk, with just a laptop and two external monitors
Nice work
Wow! Nice job man. Now I realise I've not been thinking about my desk enough.
It's been neglected ☹
me doesn't need but me wants :) you've all done a great job without going overboard with useless bling
Ah, the German precision. Love it!
Very intelligent with the design. I may borrow some of your design elements.
Nice build!
nice build out. thanks!
Very nice, Cheers !!
Thankyou for all the information. The only difference I would change is to see if I could make it using Linack based sit stand desks. Linack afaik is German & is a world leader, I've used a Linack sit stand desk for a quarter of a century - still no problems so far.
BTW you are clearly under a lot of pressure as I sent you a note via patreon & I am assuming you never actually saw it?
Hugs & stay well
I saw it and I answered!
@@EytschPi42my deepest apologies, I lost it in a sea of podts. Anna describes my philosophical views...
Very nice
11:28 Henning, you're not fat, you're fed 😜
Hope yer guirl is feeling better. I know that pain.
she is, thanks!
Excellent ideas and beautiful result.
The desk is not fixed to the wall and it dies not move when working on it ?
It doesn’t move one millimeter… way too heavy for that
Question: How do you power on the Mac Pro behind the desk??
Ahm…. Power cable?
@@EytschPi42 you’re funny, do you need to go behind the desk to power on the computer or you have a special trick or always on??
@@OUTTATIMEMTLOoops 😂
reVEEEEEEEERB!
Gottsta be done
Nice work! Dude, those colorful t shirts are fire, where can I get one?
Link in the description
@eytschpi42 this is amazing thank you! Would you be able to share the build materials used for the table rack build ??
you mean everything I used?
This would differ greatly on you local availability and also on WHAT you want to do.. its all custom
@@EytschPi42 yes exactly, and please :) just a list of the items you used, could even be affiliate links if you’d like to all the parts for the holes, charger, metal legs etc stuff like that would be super helpful, as I love this design and I am sure many other, but would love a little guideline of all the hardware used and table accessories for the build etc.. :)
Hey Hennig, Great Video!!!! Which screens are you using for the macs accept for the Samsung TV‘s?
Those are Samsung M8
I love this and I want to ask - are those floppy disks on the desks (bluish and yellow)? What's up with them?
Rubber coasters
At 28:00 while you put the desk together the mice host a rave in the corner.
How do I choose the right hair shampoo and barf colored shirt?
where did you get the tabletops and how much were they, I'm looking for a tabletop thats 70-80" x 32-38" or 80-95cm x 180-195cm for my studio.
I got them from Obi… german hardware store. They are a standard size of 260cm x 60cm. That is why I combine them to the size I need. 90 deep is way more expensive and hard to find and handle.
Fantastic video on a great project!
I know you said (paraphrasing) that there was no point in a parts list because your installation was custom. I disagree. I would ask nicely for one! I would include all hardware store miscellany. Starting with the rack units, add spacers, then countertops WITH bracing/brackets. Counting brackets can be the key! All of the different ones you chose. Include those two large truss braces to hold the back tabletop. Include the rear trim board that keeps pencils from rolling off the back edge. Now, count all the different types of holes you cut into the top, all sizes. Give a sample part description for all the ports from Amazon for each different type. Include the Gravity lamps, but nothing more technical. No cabling or connectors. Obviously, no consoles or computers. No Alexa units. I should probably have put this in an email, but I also cannot be the only viewer who wants this info. Anyway, I will assemble this info to a document for you if you wish.
What is the tabletop surface? Do you have a link??
Normal cheap kitchen countertop
Damn it be nice to have a house to put all my shit in, I got a room I rent so cable management just isn't possible. It look like the matrix in my room or a spaceship science lab with a bed.
Papillon where did u buy that Felt?
Video coming up
what is still using 3 1/2 inch floppy?
Well I believe some musicians are into old gear. There are probably people using 8" floppies
They are coasters for drinks ;)
They are for saving progress!
Now come to america and do it.
No problem
Maybe we can make a contest, winner gets you to come to their house and build one! I mean I dont know where to get these supplies in the US... maybe you can come and do a "Home Depot" version. You are freaking awesome!!!@@EytschPi42
Great job on your new studio space, and your house looks extremely cool!!@@EytschPi42
Am i the only one concerned about the Radiator being to close?
