  • After launching some of the best gaming keyboards like the Huntsman and mice like the Viper, Razer is now launching a wireless 65% gaming keyboard. The Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed looks great but after using it for a while, I'm not sure this gaming keyboard is priced competitively for what's being offered.

Honestly, I think that making a video about " Leopold " Keyboards would be a good idea.
It is, imo, the best brand for prebuilt keyboard, in terms of quality and price.
Those are not keyboards for evryone, most of them dont include LEDS. Still, the keycaps are the best ever included on a prebuilt keyboard (double shot, PBT).
People looking for quality and affordable keyboards should not miss this brand that deserve more recognition.
PS: I know he already talked about it in a video, but doing a video just for the brand would be a good idea.

I am using the BlackWidow v3, and it is really fantastic. Especially love the switches as well as the sturdy build & design. What´s annoying is the finish of the metal, like Dimitri mentioned, it gets gross very fast and needs to be cleaned all the time. Additionally pricing is just 30% to high. But still love it, multi device over 2.4 Ghz and BT is also a huge plus for me. Thanks for the video!

You can't say "I'm disappointed they don't have this feature at this price point but glad because if they did it would've been even more expensive." The reason you're disappointed it's not there at that price point is because that price typically covers the cost of that feature. What is making this keyboard worth MSRP given that it doesn't have this feature? If you can't answer that, call them out for it. In another review I heard they wanted to offer multiple languages and that would've ramped up the cost of ABS but they also said they're working on ABS keycaps to sell for their own products and that seems like a much more likely reason they didn't include them here. That said, doubleshot is pretty good and standard for their keycaps generally so they have that defense.

    • @shawshankredemption7793

See the thing is, Razer continously sells stuff at a really high price point, cos its "Razer" cos they are 'gamers' . The fact that you endorse this expensive keyboard shows how blind you are.
Razer IMO always use cheap materials and third tier CMs to make their products.
What you are essentially buying is the name/brand Razer and the triple headed snake logo.

It's not a matter of which part of the world you live in, I think. Razer has been putting out some good stuff, but on some of their products they still are ... well ... very ambitioned. The BlackWidow line (v3 Pro and this one especially) is a good example, it is way overpriced and honestly a little schizophrenic in terms of its design. Sure, you can argue that ABS keycaps are cheaper and enable you to do this and that all day long, but at this price there should just be PBT. Period. Asus is doing similar stuff with its Claymore II, arguably even worse.

The Fnatic streak65 is a 65% low profile keyboard with abs keycaps and switches with 1.0mm actuation and 3.2mm total travel. It also has RGB. It isn't wireless which doesn't matter to most people because a keyboard doesn't need to move. The ministreak costs around £100. The blackwidow v3 mini costs around £180 so I'd be paying an extra £80 for it to be wireless with razer yellows 1.2mm actuation & 3.5mm total travel, it isn't low profile and has issues in lighting due to synapse. Currently my setup is the MacBook Pro, gaming PC and Nintendo Switch, all connected to a 32" 4K Monitor, and i just switch the input to the device i'm currently using. Ideally brown switches and has to be in white to match my mouse/desk. Currently I'm using a keyboard that can switch to 5 different bluetooth settings however my gaming PC, either the bluetooth is not always connecting or the input lag is way to great (I wonder if it's because my case is aluminum and causing interference (Dan A4 case). I remember Hardware Canucks did a early look at a CoolerMaster keyboard that has this dual wireless connection (and really hope it will have a white version....maybe the same white as the CoolerMaster NR200 case).
