I really hope razer comes out with a 99-120$ wired version.
If they do, i might switch from my ducky one 2 sf. Maybe it will be the tournament edition.
Awesome video!
@@LionerxD that would be an absolute downgrade.
@@olivertrees well. I think i might try and compare the „tournament Edition“ to the one 2 sf. So then i have all options. Keep it and replace it or send it back.
For that price and no pbt...
@@nugenx DS abs vs DS PBT ehhhh come on
There’s something unique about this guy Man sprays positivity all over the air thank you man keep the videos up
You know the product is good when techne is trying hard to hide his smile while talking about the keyboard
It’s overpriced lmao
@@penial_ it’s expensive, I wouldn’t say overpriced
i do agree that razer keyboards are quite expensive. the whole huntsman line is overpriced, but the mice are good.
Idk
Every Other reviewer has problems with connectivity and sound. 200 battery is with lights off, not a selling point. That price tag is high.
You know what i find stinkin' cozy? Your videos. I'm literally sitting here with a cup of tea, and just enjoying this top-notch entertainment. Way to go, Techne! Love from Norway!
I was diggin this keyboard and then he said "$180" and I was like "😃" Im broke😂😂
Yep
Yeah the price especially for me I live in Canada is $240 is too much and also bottom row not all keys are standard size, I use the DREVO Calibur V2 Pro wireless has more keys with having all nav buttons and only $79CAD
Always remember, Razer is the Apple of keyboards. The price will always be high end :P
Same here - was so hyped .........
@@Sonicorp its really ridiculous. I am so tired of big companies inflating their prices because of brand recognition. I would rather just buy another Ducky and get some nice switches. and still have money left over.
3:13 Doorage LMAO
I just got mine, on an insane sale (Phantom Edition). I love the thing. I have a ton of Razer products and hesitated because I have a Huntsman Elite with the optical switches; but honestly, I prefer the feel of this one. I definitely loved the optical, but idk it doesn't have as tactile a keystroke.
Bought one after seeing this video the first time.
Just for context, here's what I have on my desk
* 2 PCs - 1 laptop for work; 1 Alienware R7 for personal use
* 2 External Monitors (Alienware 25 and 27 inches); HDMIs connected to laptop, DPs to the Alienware (love having 2 monitors)
* 2 Mouse - G502 Lightspeed and Razer Viper
* 1 Desk - Jarvis Fully 60-inch Standing desk
I used to connect my Razer Huntsman Mini to my PC and a Microsoft Surface Keyboard to my laptop. Having a wireless keyboard that can connect to my laptop and my Alienware is 1 less accessory on my desk. I currently use G915 TKL and I am loving it (except for its keycaps).
I bought the Razer 65% BlackWidow Mini because of the following:
* Small(er) form factor than my G915 TKL
* Better keycaps
After using this keyboard for 4 days, I noticed the following:
* Excellent Yellow Switch! I am loving it!!! (Thanks Techne!)
* 65% is perfect the size for me -- for work and for gaming
* No noticeable difference between the Huntsman Mini (wired) and the Hyperspeed on this keyboard)
However, my wrist are somehow aching because of its height. Maybe it is because i came from the very low profile G915 TKL and my hands has not adjusted to it yet. Giving it a few more days..
Aside from that, this keyboard is Stinkin' Awesome!
= @PilosopoTasy0
Me, as a apple user, can only watch razer products and dream about them.
? You can use there mouses and headsets and any way there’s better keyboards like keychrons and stuff for macs ngl
@@ceementality yeah I know, the point is that Razer doesn't support mac ios, which is bad for me because I have always wanted to purchase a razer product.
And thank you for your recommendation, I am going to purchase a keychron v2
Bought this for 90$ (Brand New) in March 2022 and I really like this keyboard.
just came back to this video for the synapse workaround! thanks so much techne
Only problem with the Blackwidows is that there are a lot of complaints about repeating keys or sticky keys. This has happened to me, and I got a replacement, the Razer Huntsman Mini. To my surprise, the N key switch was broken. I hope this is a coincidence and I am awaiting Razer’s response. Other than that, I love Razer keyboards, it’s just there’s no guarantee that it will work. I hope this helped, Ursox.
ah yes the rattle, the metallic ping sound, and that perfect sound of the spacebar, that sound of hitting a box of cutlery, amazing sound, am I right people?
Yes
Thanks for teaching me the onboard rgb controls on my huntsman mini!
That sound test was hilarious
Basically, everything I wanted the Corsair 65mini to be. For $1-30-40 I think I would have no problem with getting this right now, but for $180 and having me need to switch from Corsair to Razer I don't think I can justify it.
I still really want to see a 19KL board. So basically the 65% with the function row. I have too much stuff bound to the function keys for me to be able to use a keyboard without the dedicated keys and a macro pad really isn't ergonomic for some binds.
Amazing review buddy! I need to grab one now!
I JUST got the Huntsman mini. Now I'm not sure what to do.
be happy lad its a great keyboard too
Perfect review, you're amazing. Keep going!!
Oh my god!!!! Razer and the techne always perfect timing this is exactly the board I needed
Case is very hallow
Switches are extremely scratchy
Stablizers are rattley
Keyboard needs lubing and foam modding and stablizers modding but people still pay 180+ for this? Crazy world we live in
GK61 with lubed gateron yellows better.
Awsome reviuw. Totally 100% with ya. Thanks foe making the video it helps a lot and your style is great. :)
great review! So many good drops recently!
thanks man, yeah some awesome drops lately.
$180 for a wireless board ($60 more than a Huntsman Mini) AND no PBT keycaps? It really makes no sense to me. I also really think that Razer needs to start using plate mount stabs and hot swap for this price to be justified. Those stabs also don't sound the best. You can build a KBD67 Lite for less money, and that is a full on custom board. This is a good board imo, but the fact that it is $180 is really pushing it. I think that it needs some more technical features for that price to be REALLY worth it. Like just think about how much better plate mount and hot swap support would be. Awesome video Techne!
As someone who uses function keys very regularly for work, I wish they'd come out with a 75% or tkl wireless version 😢
You can hold fn and then press a number and it works as a function key although it’s much slower and less productive
Now I have to buy this because of you lol thanks. Great video by the way you got yourself a subscriber. 👍
Hey Techne from all the way from Australia 🇦🇺 🥳😎👋🥰 I think I’ve found your doppelgänger here in Australia, finance expert and morning show host David Koche (pronounced Kosh) look him up for a comparison haha 😂 😆 😛 he’s you in a suit! Love your content btw, found your channel only beginning of this year and loving your review style and energy! Keep up the great work 😎🥰🥳
uhhhh I'm not the biggest fan of this size, but damn razer is doing some good keyboards with the layout that most peopel actually want, we love to see it.
I honestly don't think this keyboard is worth it for the price, but I like watching raze trying new layouts...
One question techne is it worth paying 60e more for arctis pro + gamedac over arctis pro without gamedac
i have never heard of it, but I can research it if u want.
Yes
Yes. It is.
Twice the Video, double the fun!
Only thing I got out of this was:
1. Bluetooth
2. Dongles too!
3. Supports USB!
Now all keyboards in 2021 should at a minimum do those three.
What wasn't covered.
1. Macros?
2. If it has macros are they stored in local memory so they will work on all operating systems?
3. IP rating? Waterproof?
4. Warranty? Lifetime hopefully.
5. Drop test.
please dont get it its not worth the money
@@hellfire_rxse7512 I'd certainly like to buy a half decent keyboard meeting the above criteria but reviews seem to be concerned about the bling. How cool the RGB lights are. Or how the keys sound. They avoid talking about the things that matter.
I don't know to much about keyboards but you sure do. Happy Tuesday everyone Much Respect brother 👍😎💥
did he say cherry speed silvers???? (I dont know much about switches)
Yes, razer uses razer switches ( as you can see in video ) but other keyboard companies use cherry mx switches. There are lots of cherry mx switches such as Cherry MX speed silver switches, cherry mx black, cherry mx red etc.
@@Perfectcf Oh ok thx havent heard or seen those switches but ill dive into it
got this on sale today for 100 bucks, that seemed like a good price
Damn now I don't want to buy it for 140
I’m praying it comes in white
I asked them also :)
@@TheTechne let me know what they say because I’ll wait to buy it in white
I love the little keyboard song
They better make a wired version of this thing, would love to buy one!
Great video. Would you consider doing a epos h3 review and the new steelseries prime headset and maybe do a comparison?
It's a good keyboard, but I think I'll stick with my huntsman mini. Great review.
Low key I was jammin out when you were doing the sound test - also just as a heads up I use the huntsman TE and it also has the features on board to use different colors for RGB. I still use synapse because I want to customize it, but if I wanted a static color they have a lot of options on board with the same hot keys.
I’m confused between this and hyper x alloy origins 65!!! As both come at same price now
Finally a solid razer keyboard that finally grabbed my attention *looks at price tag* "igh imma head out" way overpriced
Amazon has it for 99 right now
Now if it comes in Mercury, you have me sold.
Petition for him to review the rk 84
The year is 2021 and Razer still use ABS keycaps :( $180 whattt?
This or fanatic streak 65?
I don't believe you are getting the battery life you claim. I have very conservative settings i.e. 30% brightness, lighting turns off after 1 min, wireless sleeps after 15 min of non-use, and I'm still needing to charge every 2-3 days. I've seen other reviews and their experience agrees with mine. Other than that, it is a great feeling keyboard and I'll put up with the frequent charging needs. BTW, I just got mine at bestbuy for $99.
You know that you can change the colors on the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition like this one right? You don't need the software on the computer. You can cycle through different effects and colors, you just can't make a special color.
if they came out with a white one i would cop it
It's on sale for $89 right now. Is this board still worth it?
Right now I have the Blackwidow v3 tkl green switch. I'm very happy with it and the 65% seems very good. But for me I think the deal breaker is the abs keycaps vs. the pbt.
I don’t know if I should get the v3 pro or mini as a minecraft player and space isn’t a problem I’m just wondering how far the esc is from 1 on the v3 pro I just fel so fucked up
This keyboard is worth 90. You can get Royal Kludge 84 for 60-80, sure generic switches but its hot swappable. Razer marketing is making this look like its made of gold, but same shit sells for half the price.
Royal Kludge 84 has terrible latency both in wired and especially wireless. Talking over 50ms. If this keyboard is like other razer keyboards, latency is likely under 2ms.
Royal Kludge also has other problems, as indicated by reviews. This razer keyboard is overpriced but it certainly isn't the same as other budget 65% keyboards. I've tried and tested a majority of them looking for one with decent latency. The only one that came close was the anne pro 2 but that keyboard has a ton of bugs (and I tested across 2 different models of it to ensure it wasn't a 1 off).
I have the $150 durgod as well with MX silvers and it's a great keyboard. Sound wise the razer appears to be one par. In any case I'll be comparing them when I get the razer in shortly.
i have a 300 dollar custom keyboard and i gotta say, i cuold see myself buying this keyboard! its just the price tag that drives me away and I think razer knows that
this is the best day of my life
1 day 2 Video GOATED
0:55 keypress test on the manual :D
How do u feel about this compared to the new gmmk pro or something like the fnatic streak and other 65/60% boards
gmmk pro is great, streak 65 is awesome but needs pbt caps, I really really like this board
Got it for 92€ 🥰 50% off deal hehe
thx so much and what about the rival 710 sorry for asking so much questions
iits trash
Is this more worth than steelseries apex 7 tkl?
It looks great and all but... RAZER needs to realize that not all of us are billionaires
I have a 2019 black widow v1 and I’m convinced to switch. But then he said 180$. Sticking to me roots.
Did you get that upside-down spacebar idea from the Dierya/Kemove DK66?
the main question though, is it really worth $180?? probably not i feel like this would be worth around the same cost as the streak65 like around $100-110
also would you be able to switch the abs keycaps with the razer pbts?
I bought asus first 65% wireless keyboard for 149, doubleshot pbt and 450 hours of battery life(haven't tested) and it has usb c charging
for the love of god dont get this keyboard
@@gifted5460 yea. but they are making the keyboard with abs so u have to pay even more for decent quality
Hi Techne, is the green clicky switch version as good as this yellow linear switch version?
Hey Techne, got a question for ya. Would you recommend this keyboard or the Logitech G915, and why?
hmmmm thats a good question
This or the ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX TKL decisions decisions.
I am looking for a wireless gaming keyboard to use with my laptop. Should I go for this or the G915 TKL?
Razer is KILLING the game holy crap
why does it have to have logo up front, I just wanted the no logo version
Dumb question but what’s the difference between Bluetooth and wireless?
2.4 is much better for gaming, BT has a slight lag, I use the BT for my laptop or mac products
Why is it called Hyperspeed??
i have the blackwidow elite and i just use spectrum cycling which is default so i dont have to hate it, but either way i dont stare at my keyboard so it doesnt matter and plus it looks good. But ye it does annoy me sometimes when i want wave and i use it on laptop(aka mac)
Techne hurry up and show us the viper mini ultimate! Some of you reviewers probably have review copies lol!
the keyboard rattles more than my metal joints
How is it compared to asus falchion ?
everything that has 1.2 mm actuation
are considered to be really fast keyboard
I only use apex 7 tkl red mech switch with 2.0 mm actuation and this thing is fast already
imagine that with 1.2mm mech switches or 1.0mm optical switch with huntsman te
BRUUUUHHHH
Ay that size I don't know why they remove the Function line
IM EARLY TO A TECHNE VIDEO!!!
It doesn't matter! You cant get Razer 65% BlackWidow Mini with Razer V2 Red switches! Only trash switches!
Am I able to connect my wired deathadder v2 directly to it’s usb slot?
You could almost make a custom for that much
why manufacturers "gaming" still making INSERT key !!
Just use the game function to disable the Insert key lmao
@@ChrisSmith-hq3ofheck No ! i mean its already useless key right ? it shoud be home or end instead w/out pressing Fn or customize it on their program. I found home & end are very important for me to jump quickly from bottom to top of the webpage
@@samiRetro777 I find it useful for when you want to edit something without using a cursor. But yeah besides that it is useless for web browsing lol
This one or claymore II?
Is it possible to set Caps Lock to FN and rebind Page Up/Down to Home/End?
Love it Mamma Mia!!!
I clicked so fast for this title
i just got the varmilo 108m (mx browns) and love the quality and sound of the switches.. but the metal pinging is really distracting.. does anyone have any tips? I've never desoldered anything so for now I was just thinking of o-rings so I don't bottom out? I'm already using a desk mat
Ayo deathadder vs roccat kone pro???????????
Im surprised you didn't review asus rog 65% keyboard. For its price point it offers a lot
200$ for a ABS keycap keyboard, no ty.
@@savagearma bloc
"dorage" dongle + storage
Noti
I personaly really like how this keyboard looks and sounds, the features are amazing. But my razer ornata chroma is usable(horrible keyboard but when I bought it “a few years ago” for 150$ I thought it was good so I don’t think I’ll switch.
Getting a mechanical keyboard completely changes the gaming experience, everyone says it because it's actually true. All I recommend is if you ever invest in getting a mechanical keyboard, get brown or red switches.
i saw your comment about the arctis pro + gamedac, and personally I would just go for a hyperx headset, granted you were ok with a not quite as good mic, or had a non-headset mic. the gamedac doesn't seem to be worth it because you can still get good audio quality without paying a ton of money. save some cash and get a different headset. TBH steelseries is a bit overpriced.
@@hellfire_rxse7512 it is on sale currently 40% off both headsets
Teche what is your main keyboard at the moment ?
this and the miya pro. But I always keep a TKL on my desk
Those stabilizers sound as terrible as they look. The board also has a really hollow sound, sounds cheap.
You didn’t even mention they only prelubed the spacebar lol.
damn i like it but dont think i can afford this i might go with the razer huntsman mini
can you review the eska e900 and e900 pro
I agree!
