Awesome love the review!! I have always wanted to shoot the megameats but I have heard bad things about the blades. $60 for a pack I would expect better / thicker blades. I current shoot the afflictor K2 hybrid. It is basically a mechanical that locks into a fixed as it’s entering. Big entrance and exit holes ! Shot a big Ohio 8 last year with my old school bear domain single cam . Pass thru and stuck in the ground deep. And you can shoot them in a practice mode!
If you’re gonna shoot anything, I would shoot the dead meats I’ve shot multiple deer with them and I never have had a problem with them cub blades here and their bent or broke off, but I just replace them. The mega meats are way too long if they hit anything, they’re just shattered 1 million pieces Yeah they’re very devastating but I do not wanna have to replace blades every single time they’re way too long and they stick out too far in my opinion.. I’d go with dead meat
@@evoeyerex3518 I picked up a pack of mega meats 100gr 1.5" because of all the hype. Opened them up and they felt cheap and flimsy. I know they get the job done but what if I want to shoot the broadhead a second time? Not everyone has a money tree in their backyard and can hang a 40$ arrow/broadhead on their kill. I setup qad exodus because I knew I could shoot deer for years with the same broadhead. When It came to mechanicals it was swhacker or sevr and sevr has a titanium ferrel vs aluminum on the swhacker so I bought 3 sevr's titanium as a backup. If I have time i will setup fixed blades everytime vs mechanicals but that's just me and I had a lot of time in setting up fixed blades.
Do the rage Rage Hypodermic NC fold backwards? NY can't have "barbed" broadheads or has to be an angle on the backside of above 90 so they can come back out
I used to run the rage hypodermic with excellent results and passthroughs but but found they seemed to be ruined afterwards. I switched to Sevr Titanium 2.0 and they seem to holding up a little better.
I second this, Sevr broadheads are extremely durable and fly like field points. Sevr also makes it easy to practice with the same broadhead your going to hunt with.
@@BackyardBows got ya, i used the ramcats for several years and honestly, they left the best blood trails i have ever seen, i just didn't like that the thin blade tips bent backwards every time i killed a deer with one, rendering it un-reusable. i use the 1.75" swhackers now and doubt i will ever change again, i like them so much i bought a life time supply of them.
@@BackyardBows oh I watched that one too but wasn’t as impressed as with the mechanical. The no collar hypodermic was impressive but not enough to turn me from Ramcat 🤣🤣🤣
Ram at diamond back is fixed these are what they consider pivoting, anything that moved I threw in the mechanical video, also cause I had way more fixed tried to even it out lol
I also love the Swhacker. Please do a review on the new Bowmar Beast.
Been looking at the Swhacker for my first deviation from shooting a Montec and this video definitely has me making the switch for this year.
Swhacker 💯
I’ve been shootin RamCats for about 10 years now. Absolutely them! Love the videos and info on all the options out there
Heck ya I would love to see what you think of the beast broadhead as well!
ramcats r a really good head.I shot a doe with one and the doe didnt even know that it was shot.Great video like always
Used killzone on doe last weekend and got complete pass thru and it absolutely demolished her, blood everywhere

Sevr is on the list for the bonus round

Just got a killer deal on 7 sevr 2.0s for $58 👍
@@lizzleyt Wow I had 45$ in 3 of them lol, excellent deal!
Have u ever shot Afflictor k2 Hybrid they work great!
This are mean looking
I hunt with the swhacker #269 killed 4 animals so far couple hogs and deer nothing has left my sight
you know ramcats are not a mechanical right? also the swhacker you used is the 2" cut version, not the 1.75".
Yes pivoting is what these are but they move so we put them in the mechanical video, also because I had a lot more fixed

The mech's with swivel heads
my biggest problem with your video is that your shooting to close try again at a real hunting range for proper more realistic results
True assessment
you will need a calf under a yr old to represent a white tail
That might be tough 😂
How bad is the hernia from lifting those big a$$ pumpkins?
Lol bad
That is why I use ramcat but it’s not a mechanical broadhead
Pivoting broadhead, it moves so we through it in there
@@BackyardBows makes sense. Good video though.
@@groundrootsoutdoors627 and the fixed day was stacked lol

Try toxic broadhead
Video two with the fixed blades
Ramcat is a fixed blade head

Could of just pushed by hand. Take scale in-between arrow an your hand an push
