I am truly impressed by this set of kits as it shows just how far Orange Mod Works has come and the extent of what they are able to bring to the community. I think its just a solid product and I would love to see future models for more practical blasters.
Ya that's what I did. My friend gave me a working Retaliator and originally I was going to mod it but he didn't want it. So I kept it and opened it up and it broke some how and I got a omw kit for Christmas. It definitely works better.
Hey drac you should put priming handles on the retaliator.
An awesome way to mod the retaliator is to stretch a spring from another retaliator and put that spring in the retaliator in addition to the original spring!
I actually bought a new retaliator with all three kits to mod. This will be my first major mod other than upgrading springs and knocking out ARs

You definitely need to put the stronger spring in there. Orange modworks designed the barrel extention then later realized the plunger tube doesnt have enough volume to effectively use the full barrel. The spring only somewhat fixes the volume issue. Using the barrel will give you a little better accuracy, or take the barrel off and get better performance. You can just use the suction elites and take the barrel off and the accuracy will be fine.
If its locking, its dougbtubly is the parts. I took mine apart and it will lock forward after a quick slam forward and all i did was remove the locks.

If you added the pump kit to this blaster it would be even better. I have a fully modded retaliator with all stages and a pump and its my favorite blaster

Drac you may like to try sanding down the Jam door slightly. On my Retaliator the jam door often causes jams as it sticks out just ever so slightly and the slide gets caught on it. Might also help with priming it

Awesome! I've never seen a Elite Retaliator shoot that hard! and i actually do need a new Retaliator part... haha, my modified Retaliator works just fine, but i lost the lock on the sled, and i have to hold the slide forward to shoot it!
My normal elite retaliator (vanilla/non-modded) the cocking handle will not budge past the jam door. Its been stuck there for like 2 weeks. Not really sure how to fix it ,m iff someone could it would be greatly appreciated.

Ok i have a 9kg Sonic ICE retaliator and its easy to prime. Its NOT because I’m strong since i am 13 years old, 50kg and can’t do push-ups

Drac, what tips would you give a new modder like myself for increasing the performance of Nerf Blasters without completely ruining them! As honestly I am terrified to open up the more expensive blasters I owned after I completely destroyed a Nite Finder I tried to mod at one point. So since I find your modding and paint skills inspiring and incredible, what tips and tricks would you give me. I've been watching your stuff and have Subscribed on and off since 2011, and have always had a burning interest to create something awesome that performs well! The retaliator is my first and favorite blaster! (not good for HvZ though) So I'm gonna completely kit out my blaster with this, and the worker pump grip and stock! I'll completely wreck everyone on the other team!

I can't take the priming bar off (the thing you slide back). It is stuck on there with a lot of force. Is that normal?

5 is enough with the stock spring

looks hard to prime, not a fun blaster to use if it requires too much strength
Its good the reason he's having a hard time is the 7kg spring which will kill people the 5kg is more than enough and the slide lock part is removed in the piece you get from orange mod works so you need to sand down the thing that used to engage it and it works much better

You should get 2 even though it doesn't come with the metal catch or 5kg spring
how is the retaliator modded compared to the recon modded? Im curious about what is the most powerful nerf gun. cheers
the retaliator is way more powerful, the direct plunger system is so much better than the recons reverse system.
