It could be improved with a stiffer spring if you can. Unless you want to stick with full stock parts which is fine.
i think making a metal lever would be an awesome mod. I feel like plastic isnt strong enough for the lever
if this is a mod guide then why do you keep skipping important parts?

this guide saved my ass! i tried to shoot a tampon with my slingfire and it got stuck in the barrel. so i had to open the blaster because the priming handle was in it's forward position and didn't wanted to move.
Why were you trying to fire that?

I think this would make a great longshot or other large blaster integration, remove the stock and under mount it on something
The stock spring looks pretty weak. I'm sure it could handle a tougher spring but the catch spring would defiantly need an upgrade as well. One other thing that bothers me is the priming handle. The grip looks solid but the section between the grip and the blaster looks rather thin and flimsy.
Would be nice if OMW would make a kit for this one, including an aluminum lever.

Yeah that's why I put cloth (I also needed to use a hot glue gun and don't ask what the cloth was before) on the lever of mine, it makes it more comfortable but my sling fire is broken now.

That would be so cool, imagine having a lever action shotgun, i wish hasbro would do this
(Please keep in mind im kinda noobish when it comes to modding my nerf guns) I had such a hard time modding this, the mod part was easy (only took out the air restricter), but putting it back together was so hard due to that gear system
Does taking out the air restrictor actually eventually break your gun?

you can remove the orange plastic piece at the bottom that stops the magazine from coming out unless cocked.. its fun i change clips on the fly. always have full ammo

So, it's kind of funny. I sort of went back to the days of Maverick modding, because since I didn't have any PVC to work with, I actually stuck three dimes into the "chamber block" and measured and cut the plunger rod to fit so that it would stop just before the dimes, and after drilling out the air restrictor, I'ld say it turned out great! #memories
You can actually put a retaliator spring in with the stock spring of the blaster
Question do think an orange work mod massacre kit for a Raider would work on this blaster? Or would it put to much stress on the gearbox?
I tried to reassemble mine but parts keep popping out and if I try to fix the part another one pops out. I need help send me a link to a full reassembling video. Pls
You forgot the clip lock removal which is easy with pliers to pull it out definitely saved me reload time
I got 3 at Goodwill I have one on Aussie power, a new lever and gears + no AR!! So much fun must buy blaster!!!!!
one question could you drill out the air restrictor without taking it apart
is it worth removing the air restrictor I've seen a few places saying no and some saying yes and was wondering if its even worth it or if someone has some

No, the gain is barely even over 0 and internal stress is insane
I just detached the stock on mine, and it makes it so you can shoot a lot faster. If I could replicate the attachment, I could get another one and dual wield them.
i was kind of hoping for some sort of mod allowing you to release and load mags without having the handle out. Is this even possible?

Man, this was definitely fun. I'm hoping to get my parents to get me this for my birthday. Anyway, seriously I never thought so much technicality goes into these nerfs. (I would so love to be as knowledgeable as you.) Seriously, were'd you learn all this? Because they definitely don't come whit my instruction books (And I'm serious about the answer.)
you just learn it overtime, at first I thought that you could make say a semi auto maverick... I now realize you can't

I know I'm not Drac but I would suggest taking it apart and looking either at the lever or the gearbox and see if there's something you can do to fix it.

someone help! I opened up my slingfire and the gear box, but when I put it back together, the lever will only go about 2 clicks down and then it gets stuck and I can't figure out what is wrong. the internals look the same as they did when I took it apart.
whit out modding it shouts rly good has a good air seal

Okay, so I bought a moded slingfire. But nothing was actually changed except the barrel. It fired two darts perfectly, but now it won't even prime. Anyone got advice?
seems like it would work as 2 in 1 esque with the lever action and ease of removeing the stock and handle

Bought one of these and An Alpha trooper at a village festival at a pound a piece... the alpha trooper had a cracked and crooked barrel (Also had a felt tip paint job :/) and the sling fire had been taken apart so the mag release activate when ever the lever is forwards :/

fyi, there is a spring for the tactical rail connector part, but it is unnecessary
i dont get it how nobody has sawd the stock so it would be like a sawn off

What is the dimensions of the screw that holds the stock to the gun? Can anybody help me?
Until we get the lever out of the gearbox its irrelevant, but it looks like a replacement could be made out of sheet polycarbonate or similr material.

Where can you get this gun? I have been looking for it all over. Toys r us' website says its new but you can't order it online. And the only thing it says is its available in store but the one by me doesn't have it. Also their website sucks and doesn't let you see if any stores in your area have it.

When I mod this gun I took out the part that makes the clicking sound and put the blue recon (forgot it's name) spring together with the stock spring

Its like a scattergun from tf2 but you can put a clip in it
good news to all the longshot lovers. its makin a come back as the nerf zombiestrike longshot cs-12. doesnt come with the bibod or frontgun and has 1 12 round clip. also coming out is the nerf zombiestrike doublestrike. it is a mini version of the hammer shot. has hammer action and fires two darts at a time! thats all the neews that i have

After lots and lots and LOTS of practice I managed to get prime it terminator style but the mechanism will get stuck once in a while and it's painful

I took the lock out of mine so that if you missprime it will automaticly return to the handle
my son just got this gun for his B-day.
ISSUE:::::::: The last bit of movement (almost locked and ready to shoot) it doesn't want to close....
This is random, but it seems more common with older darts.
OPENED UP the Slingfire and found, there is a LATCH that is pushed down, by the closing slide on the sides gets difficult to line up, and deflects the alignment.. Funny to see the entire barrel MOVE around INSIDE THE GUN!!!...
If I push down, from the top though the jam door, it usually feeds it fine???
I tried taking the plastic piece out, but then the bullet doesn't stay put, so it will actually SHOOT...LOL..... so it needs the plastic piece........Perhaps I could take the SLOP out of the barrel??? Obviously, NERF designed it to be this way...??
I will post a video.... I think it is due, to the darn not cooperating due to old dart, and instead of just shoving it in the breach, the gun tries to let you know it is messed up....This gun is very good, but Is very complex.... lots of things have to be JUST PERFECT, or it will not fire...
you made it worse, put it back exactly and next time push it a little more because the last crank is the only one that needs effort

Chase Lucas if people didn't do things they didn't know about..lets take you for example. At one point you didn't know about this thing people call walking. You know one foot in front of the other. People need to and want to try new things. Why must you be "that guy"? No one likes "that guy".

if its not priming... its your ketch. buy a 3d printed one from omw or someone else and fix. if you cant find someone... buy a new one
my slingfire's range has gone to shit after 1 day
We're you dry-firing? After removing the AR, dry-firing can and will destroy your blaster.
you shouldn't remove the AR in blasters with a direct-plunger system. the performance gain is just slightly above zero but the stress to the internals is much higher. just seen a broken plungerhead.

I modded mine with metal Lever and gears.. It reached 120-130ft on my chronograph
