I didnt like this blaster nearly as much stock, but now that its working properly and without locks with a missile launcher that does something, I can really dig it.
I soldered the old wires to my beefey wires pulled them through and unsoldered. it was pretty simple and very efective. I didnt want to burn out the wires by using imr bstteries

If you have a Nerf demolisher or any other flywheel and it frequently jams, this comment is for you. THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. I REPEAT, THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. IF YOU OWN A FLYWHEEL NERF GUN THAT FREQUENTLY JAMS, THEN DO THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO HELP ITS PROBLEMS
step 1: open the blaster.
step 2: get to the flywheel system (NOTE: you don't need to remove it completely from the blaster shell, only enough to get it out of the blaster a little bit. DO NOT REWIRE)
step 3: take the rubbery flap off of the flywheels. this is the part that is directly in front of the tip of the dart if looking from the jam door
step 4: put gun back together
Please like if this tip helped your gun stop jamming every other shot. If needed I can create a video showing you how to do it and the results as well as how it helped
I bought 2 regular rennyox rechargeable batteries and made 2 dummy and im wondering will that have more voltage then 4 Duracell batteries
cause I didn't know about imrs but now I cant buy them cause im broke so which one is better: 2 rechargeable batteries and 2 dummys or 4 duracells?
They output the same current, just rechargeable...
That's what I did to my demolisher.
I'm going to make my demolisher shoot short darts since the trigger system and the dart pushrod is the same as the stryfe. I don't have a stryfe yet so until I get one I'm going to make my demolisher shoot short darts, and I also put some duct tape on the missile plunger which worked well.
Just got done with the mod! 2s Lipo and everything else you did. Soooo excited!
When I did this, I found that running 11.1 volts didn't actually give me any better range out of it than 7.4 did. The flywheels weren't gripping well enough at that speed and instead of spitting darts harder they were just chewing them up. So I put in a new cage with a guide, some groovy worker wheels, and some new motors for kicks, and now it's a monster. Thanks to Valour for hooking me up with that setup. I also replaced all the wiring and the rev switch with more robust components cause I don't trust hasbro's tiny gauge wire or cheapest possible switch to carry any significant current without burning out.
My demolisher wasn’t solvent welded but I had the hardest time to unclip that quick clip wire thingy
I used pliers and it was easier to take off

The mods themselves would essentially be the same, just getting inside he blaster will be more of a challenge.

If you take out the access door and dart clip locks, do you have to rewire the rest of the blaster?
Personally, I would've modded the missile launcher to be a pump and to have a pump tank. Would've operated a lot better, I think.

One thing with this is that the stock wires and motors will take IMRs or Trustfires without the lock that stops the motor when there is too much voltage.
Watching this with my younger brother who's modding an old one he found, you get to the jam door and mention removing it and he just slips it out with an easy twist, hahah!
i notice that you push the slide forward before putting in a missle. why is that? does it help?

Drac there isn't any thermistors in the flywheel cage just resistors the one thermistor is near the battery's. I know what I am talking about I am big into electronics and in a couple months I am gonna do a huge rapid strike mod

I bought my Demolisher in NZ (grey trigger), I rewired with 16 awg wire and use 3 aw IMR batts. Anyway, just wanted to comment that my blaster wasn't glued at all. All parts just came apart when I took out the screws. Also the covering on my flywheels are brown not black.
those are not thermistors they are inductors the thermal fuse was on the board near the trigger assembly...
I was modding my demolisher to and at the part at 2:28 , I broke it and i neer tot repair it and believe me. Thats not easy
Not sure if I like this one enough to buy one. I think something to do would be to make the missile launcher modular since it doesn't hook into anything vital.
has anyone seen a mod guide converting the missile launcher into the shotgun dart blaster? I could see myself using this if it had the backup 3-5 dart shotgun
I did the mod for the missile launcher and it performs much better now
This is probably a bad idea, but try putting a lot of darts into the missile launcher and fire, you could get a huge shotgun blast with that lol

You can put Elite darts into the inner hole if you drill it out.
It wouldn't work because the actual air comes through that little tube that the rocket goes on and not around it

drake I want to cometo Iowa cause I need help modding my demolisher
I have problems with my Jam door so I need to remove the electronic lock and I want to remove and cut off the launcher. I couldn't tell if I need to have a soldering tool for this and do you recommend to remove all the electronics when I'm cutting the front blaster?
I have a decent jig saw, a band saw, and a dremel tool with cutting bits

+tychoriddersgames you know they can spin without you revving right so it's impossible to get your fingers stuck

I tried to take out my jam door lock switch but the middle red wire came out of the shrink wrap. So I tried to shrink it back in but then it would only work if I punched the wire. Now the wire won't work at all. Draw do you know how to fix this. Please.😰

u could also drill out the grill which blocks airflow on the missle launcher
Silicon spray lubricant is better..

+. Honey badger upgrade on the motors make the demolisher into what I like to call the screaming-demon.
Keep in mind if upgrading to larger lipos accommodations must be made to make room.Get wicked on em .

How to do you undo the quick clip system???
there was one little dab of solvent weld above the flywheel cage near the top rail on my demolisher, cut it with a craft knife.
I put three layers of electrical tape on the missile plunger under the seal, works really nicely too. And what's really cool is that it's only frictional at the closest inch of the pump, so I don't have to work really hard to get the missile moving!

1) why did you keep the grill on the missile part? 2) next one you mod you should try and find a way for it to shoot other ammo; ie-megas or shotgun blast elite darts.

Once the blaster is opened, how easy is it to remove the missile launcher assembly? How is it connected to the rest of the shell?

Drac this isn't a have to but if in one clip you have zombie strike in the stock and elite in the modded so you can compare how far the distances go so I hope you use this in your videos

I found that a hammershot o-ring works well with the missile launcher.

but no, it's not just the motors, you need to take out the thermosters and every little piece of wiring.
why not use the old wiring as a fishtape (puller) for the new wire? then your new wire is wired as the old, without having to pull the inner plates.

So I picked one of these up, and would love to mod, but im a total noob. Motors are my main concern. What kind, how big can I go b4 I have to cut the shell? Are AA batteries still viable? Batteries are a question. How long of life (charge and over time/multiple recharges) on the lythim or lipo?

hey drac I did the mod and I took out the rev trigger on axcedent and I left the jam door off now I put it back together and the rev trigger doesn't work any more how I I fix it

Doesn't the rev trigger have wiring to it? If so, you'll have to rewire it

Do you reckon you could b*stardise the top half of another flywheel assembly and put it atop the magazine, operated by the main trigger, as a much quicker auto-fire mechanism?

Well..the rocket launcher mod I can do easy as pie, it's the rest I'm wary about, especially wiring, I'm not very good at that kind of thing so I think pretty much all my blasters would be stock simply because I'm very hesitant to crack it open and try to work the wiring into making it shoot further.

You could also make it a standalone launcher.

I usally do but you don't have to it works just fine earthier way
+piisawsom1 Not a *dead* battery....do NOT mix trustfires and alkaline batteries. ONLY use a *Dummy battery* in the open slot when using less than 4 trustfires.

Help my demolisher keeps jamming!
If you open up the jam door for your demolisher you will see a black rubbery fabric where the darts are supposed to get pushed into the fly wheel remove the black rubbery fabric and boom no jams (I just did this mod and it actually works)
