    I am a new moder. My first blaster mod was a retaliator. Since the lock down I have had fun gazing and moding with good results. I also moded a rampage by putting two retaliator sprins combined together lubing the cylinder. Instead of getting 69 f/s it does an average of 140f/s that is amazing to me.

    Really useful! The Retaliator / Recon / etc. is one of the blasters that I haven't ever owned or opened, but the principles for this and some other N-Strike blasters are the same.
    Excellent with the close-up photographs as well.

    Tip: you can also use some tape to cover the screw holes, thus trapping them inside until you take the tape off, I like to use painters tape as it won't take off any paint

    Great teacher you are. Thrifted mine, thought it just needed the mag to un jam it, turns it there was a shaft of a small screwdriver , wedged between the slide and broad screw. I tried all the tricks until I saw it lol

    Beautifully done. Thank you Sir! I really like having this sort of detail when mucking with things, so I am able to put it back together more easily. I have a large panel magnet that I use when disassembling things, and I put screws onto that magnet in similar position to where it came out of the blaster, so I can put them all back where they came from more easily.

    Hi Cap! This is really a service to the community! This series I foresee becoming a reference material for modders everywhere. I have two Rampage blasters to put back together sitting in a bag for a long time. I have all the parts, but a tutorial on this one would be helpful.1 There is also another, a Vintage Blaster so it may not be popular enough for you to get to, but the Dart Tag speed load six. I am having a hard time figuring out the right steps to reassemble after removing an horrific jam. Thanks so much!

    Digging this idea.
    Definitely hopes it continues.
    I would love to see one for Stryfe, as so many of the ones I've seen are so quick to gloss over things, esp. where/what locks to remove. Light modding, as opposed to changing motors and cages.

    Something that just occurred to me- the handle dart storage could be used for de-priming a blaster with the locks still in. Once you take the magazine out, you could manually load that extra dart into the bolt and fire that dart after returning the slide.

    I have a question, even though you said the plunger tube needs to move, I have taken out my bolt sled lock, and upgraded the spring. But now the tiny sticky out bits on the plunger tube have snapped, can I glue the plunger tube in place so that it doesn't move ALL the way forward next to the access door? If so, I'd glue it far back enough so the plunger head could catch. Thanks Captain.

    12:46 if the piece is broken in 2, the "tube" have the little "leg" but the piece that should be under the tube is no longer attached, I know it probably doesn't make sense but idk how to explain it, can I do anything with the blaster ? From what I understand I can't use a mag and chamber dart anymore so Is there anything I can do to at least make it fire something ?

    Another helpful tip I learned a while ago for keeping track of screws is to simply put a small piece of tape over each screw hole (after unscrewing them of course) to keep them in place if you need to flip over that side of the shell.

    • @Nathan_Talisien
      @Nathan_Talisien 4 года назад

      My favorite trick for keeping track of screws is to, before starting to remove screws, lay the blaster on a piece of cardboard and trace the outline. Then, as the screws come out, push them into your cardboard outline in approximately the location they came from.
      I've sort-of laminated my cardboard panels after using them by wrapping them in a full layer of Dollar Store packing tape, and the most-used ones (the Stryfe and Hammershot) have each held up to 10+ uses so far.

    This may fall into the "I don't feel like doing it" category but I've never seen anyone do a proper centurion breakdown and reassembly. I opened one up once and there are so many things in there that I had no clue about their function. Possibly one of the most over engineered blasters of all time. Rob from SBNC (no longer in the nerf comunity) kind of did a mod guide but it was mainly based on a spring upgrade and barrel removal.

  • @Windle_Poons
    @Windle_Poons 4 года назад

    Love the series idea.
    I started modding after I took apart a speedloader 6 because of a jam and had to find a video of how to rebuild it. That lead me on to Dracs penny mods and then the whole world of modding.
    But those detailed internal builds dont seem to exist for modern blasters. Hopefully they will now.
