Thank you so much for sharing how to do this process. There’s people on TikTok doing it and none of them will answer my questions. I’m so glad I found this video. You did an excellent job explaining in layman’s terms.
if you went to nvz, like I did, you got to see vesper in its final form. not only that, but you got to touch it. im glad this video is up now, cant wait to try my hand at hydro dipping my own nerf gun. maybe ill even upload a short video on it. whatever I decide to do, itll be helped along by this video. thanks for watching drac out
Lathan Terry I already have Xbox one s it takes so long to download games but I'll tell u to get terrabite beacause it comes with gears of war online free with xbox
I've been watching your videos for about 2+ years working towards finishing this stryfe mod. You're into has been invaluable. Yourself and a couple other content creators (coop, I think and another I can't recall by name) have been of great to help me.. Thank you all so much
Sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
I did my xboxone and ps4 controllers after watching this. thankyou very much, very informative clear easy guide to follow. Next ill be doing my actual ps4 and xboxone console's.
OMG you have the same exact flooring as my x- husband's childhood home had in it. Sorry I gotta say it doesn't look any better in your house either. LOL But I did find your video full of lots of great info as working with this medium is totally new for me, so thank you for your knowledge.
Hello there, I just watched your video and it is great, my only question is, what do you spray on top of the film before dipping it?? I will appreciate your response, great job 👍
WoW, to you sir... I care nothing about toy nerf guns , but i am however interested in the process of hydrodipping. I just wanted to let you know that, that was a rather exceptional "How to Video" Very informative and at a nice pace not to lose interest. good work! can this be done to real guns? where do you get the film and actuator spray?
question is it necessary to spray that hydrographic activator or can you do it with out ? thank you I'm doing power coating and this Hydro dipping has got my attention also...
If you’re not bothered about specific patterns and just some coloured swirls is fine for you then just spray paint into the water. Prep’s a lot easier.
Hi There! Looks fine! Right now i don't know whats happening, but i take the part out of the water, i can't see the pattern, but the film is sticked to the part :( Do you know why is that happening? It's like my pattern is dissapearing... Thanks in advance
Did you prime them or anything first, I'm attempting to do this for my pc case and just need to know Is there anything I need to know do I need to spray the case with anything when I dip it
due we have the same floor laminate. haha i seen it like no fucking way. only thing i kept in the house from when i got it from the grandparents 5 yrs ago.. thats awesome.
a way to keep your temps right could be a heat mate. look up vivosun reptile heat mate you can get one with a thermostat to set the temp and heat the water from 70 to 100+
Just found this video, nice and thorough. Thanks for that. But, I have a question. Is there any difference to hydro dipping plastic motorcycle body parts? Would appreciate your assistance. Thanks
I met a woman last Saturday she has examples of dips. You can do any plastics, stainless steel, she did umbrella material. Coffee cups, did her car grill and the window louvres And her plastic engine cover. She did woman’s shoes looks hot. All material fabrics etc unlimited.
Good Video, My question to you is, if I have a plastiv part that is the correct base color i want, can I lightly etch the plastic with Very fine Glass Bead in which i do yo my pre prep on a paint job og a model R/C airplane,. Question being is the surface prp as discribed going to be a good contact and take surgace for the hydro diping. Next, I heed a Clear coat that is almost equilivant to Automotive grade clear acrylic. will that eat the Print design in light coats? And actually how long do you wait if you are going to use a chear coat over the print design? Any guidance will be highly appreciated. Respectfully, Jim "P" Jenuine-motor
I am planning to print my custom designs on blank HydroDipping sheets 1. Do I need some sort of activator-A after printing desired design on Blank Hydrographic sheet, to lock the colors on printed sheets? 2. After prinitng the design on glossy side of blank hyfrodipping sheet, the color reminas wer even after 10 hours. Color is not drying on glossy side at all. I am using an HP 410 inktank printer with original HP ink.
Well I would like to know why you used a spray of a sort when the crytex film was in the box of water. what was that spray can you used. a bonding agent...? I am not referring to your laquering.
so what im understanding is the finger sticky side goes down on the water? or does it go up? im a little lost, i would have figured the sticky side is what you want first on the item youre dipping?
What if I use krylon paint+primer spray paint instead of automotive paints. It says it will adhere to plastic and I'm going to sand the plastic anyway and clean so the paint has something to adhere to. Do you think this would allow the film to stick onto the paint? The color is going to be flat white from krylon. Also, how's that clear coat holding up?
Do I need to do anything to my xbox controller to hydrodip it? I saw other videos where they buff and spray other stuff on the item before dipping it. Thank you.
How well does it hold up against "abuse" ? I want to do the plastic piece around the seatbelt area in my car, could it take the the abuse of the seatbelt hitting up against it?
Can you tell us few more details? How long between dipping and clearcoat I'm having issues. I'm using enamel. Let dry ten min between coats. Then dip. Rinse and let air dry. But I've only had succes using aerosol 2k clear if I leave part over night before clear. What your process? How long between each stage for you?
Thank you so much for sharing how to do this process. There’s people on TikTok doing it and none of them will answer my questions. I’m so glad I found this video. You did an excellent job explaining in layman’s terms.

You've done a good tutorial. You have a way of putting things into terms easy to understand and very descriptive. You're a natural teacher/instructor.

I have one question..what are you spraying with before you dip an object?
Eduardo junio II activator stuff
You can find it on amazon

question is it necessary to spray that hydrographic activator or can you do it with out ?

If you’re not bothered about specific patterns and just some coloured swirls is fine for you then just spray paint into the water. Prep’s a lot easier.
We had that exact same vinyl flooring in our kitchen growing up. Remember it like it was yesterday.
Hi There! Looks fine!
Right now i don't know whats happening, but i take the part out of the water, i can't see the pattern, but the film is sticked to the part :( Do you know why is that happening? It's like my pattern is dissapearing... Thanks in advance
Great video I want to do that for a long time but I was told it was gonna be very expensive to do when I'm gonna try it
Did you prime them or anything first, I'm attempting to do this for my pc case and just need to know Is there anything I need to know do I need to spray the case with anything when I dip it
Question. What did you spray before you dip the subject into the film?
Thanks in advance bro

Just found this video, nice and thorough. Thanks for that. But, I have a question. Is there any difference to hydro dipping plastic motorcycle body parts? Would appreciate your assistance.
Thanks
I honestly have no idea if there is a difference but I’d assume it would work the same way

And her plastic engine cover. She did woman’s shoes looks hot. All material fabrics etc unlimited.
Great video Drac
When doing an inside job like a RC truck body the "water side" would have to be up. does this make a difference?
When did you add the oil to the water and how much? Also what were you spraying onto the film when it was sitting in the water
Watched this vid years ago man it brings back memories
Hello and good day. You said the sticky side is the water side...I would think the sticky side would be up and against the part. Am I wrong?
Good Video, My question to you is, if I have a plastiv part that is the correct base color i want, can I lightly etch the plastic with Very fine Glass Bead in which i do yo my pre prep on a paint job og a model R/C airplane,. Well I would like to know why you used a spray of a sort when the crytex film was in the box of water. what was that spray can you used. a bonding agent...? I am not referring to your laquering.
Just asking, can you dip a stock colored stryfe and it will look just like the third one (given that we are using the same film)?
Where would you be able to find film like that? Is there a major department or artistic store chain that carries them?
Never mind, I'm an idiot. Although, I still would prefer not to purchase online, if anyone knows of a location.

Hey, I know this was ages ago. But can you tell me if you had to do an undercoat or not for the film to stick?
How long does it last? Water resistant? If I do this to my car wheels would it be okay?
yes, its water resistent. It should be fine if you do it to your car wheels, but i don't know how told it would last.
What are u spraying on the layout during dipping is the top coat..
Thanks for the tutorial! I've been wanting to try hydro dipping for a while now, it looks so cool!
Have u tried it yet
is that just a clear coat u spray first before dipping??
What if I use krylon paint+primer spray paint instead of automotive paints. It says it will adhere to plastic and I'm going to sand the plastic anyway and clean so the paint has something to adhere to. Do you think this would allow the film to stick onto the paint? The color is going to be flat white from krylon. Also, how's that clear coat holding up?
i just told my little cousin about how that was a stryfe and how you painted it and he said "oh that beard guy?" i almost died!!!
Poisoned darts 😂😂😂 that’s hilarious
Do I need to do anything to my xbox controller to hydrodip it? I saw other videos where they buff and spray other stuff on the item before dipping it. Thank you.
where can you buy all of the stuff to do this? besides online
thank you for the video but what's the spray u used on the film ? can I have the name of that?
How well does it hold up against "abuse" ? I want to do the plastic piece around the seatbelt area in my car, could it take the the abuse of the seatbelt hitting up against it?
what do you spray the film with when it's in the water

Hey Drac, I wanted to know what you sprayed onto the film before dipping the item.
Once it goes on, can you peel it off ? Will it damage the paint ?
Can you tell us few more details? How long between dipping and clearcoat
I'm having issues. I'm using enamel. Let dry ten min between coats. Then dip. Rinse and let air dry. But I've only had succes using aerosol 2k clear if I leave part over night before clear.
