Most entertaining chillest build video I’ve seen. Nice bike. The red on the Patrol and 4Runner pop so good. Gray zeb goes well with it all. I love my mtb and my Ridgeline that gets me to ride!
Love your passion for 4Runner's and mountain biking. I have a 2021 Lunar Rock Pro 4Runner and a 2020 Yeti SB130 mountain bike. We have some great mountain biking here in MD, but no exploring / overlanding options. I did a 20 day trip out to Grand Junction and Moab from MD hitting trails along the way last Fall and it was the most liberating experience I have ever had. I slept inside the 4R for 17 nights and was perfectly comfortable. Planning to hit Boise and Bend, plus many other trails this Fall. Great content - keep up the good work! Thanks!
Thank you, James! I appreciate it. That’s awesome! That setup is rad and Moab is a special place. What an awesome trip. I’ll make it out to the east coast one day for some riding. Seems like there’s some good trails out there. Stoked that you’re coming out this way for a trip. I know the Bend trails quite well too. You’re gonna have an awesome time.
@@nickmcdvtt My Rhino colored Yeti SB130 matches my Lunar Rock 4R. Not originally intentional - I cracked the original bike frame after two years which was Storm colored (a flat blue) and Yeti no longer had that color. So I had replace it with Rhino which perfectly matches Lunar Rock. I love seeing mountain bikes on the back of 4R's!
Well, that worked out nicely! That’s awesome! I wasn’t originally planning on making this bike match, but then Transition came out with red and then I zoned in on the grey Zeb... It just sort of came together 🙂
Another epic vid combining multiple things, that why I like your channel. BTW, have you found any shops in your area that are good for offroaders that you can recommend? My sister in Mt Home has had issue with local shops for her Tacoma not understanding the different needs of overlanders vs folks that just drive on highways. Case in point, putting those heavy plastic zip tie like clamps on cv boots vs metal clamps.
Thank you! I appreciate it. This was such a fun project. The best offroad shop in Boise that I’ve found is Taco Vinyl Offroad, especially for Toyotas. Brandon is a great dude and has helped me with several things, including removing and re-installing my front differential to fix a botched re-gear.
For general maintenance, Edmark Toyota in Nampa is where I go. They do my alignments, transmission fluid changes, brakes, etc. For anything aftermarket, Taco Vinyl Offroad is your best bet.
Ah, gotcha. I installed the OneUp EDC tool in my steer tube, which uses a threaded top cap instead of a star nut. OneUp has a thread tap tool specifically for that system that cuts the threads for that top cap. All of the build details, parts, etc. for this bike are in the description if you are curious about the setup. Thank you for watching!
Dang! This was the most relaxing an interesting thing I’ve watched…. Maybe ever! 👊🏼🙌🏼
That’s awesome. Thanks, Greg! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Ride Free Man! ciao dall'italia!
Such a sick video Nick!
Thanks, Skye!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. 100%. Gotta have a rig that will get you there.
So awesome and we’ll done!
Thanks, Andrew!
That was actually so sick. What a cool concept.
Beautiful start to the day. Completed my first proper mtb trail yesterday
That’s awesome!
WOW. Crazy to do this and post. Amazing.
Thanks, man. You get it. I really appreciate it. This was a massive challenge but it was really fun!
@@nickmcdvtt I had to watch it a second time it was that good. Wow. I hope one day I can create like this.
Also, hats off to the hidden camera man/woman. :)
Thank you. I really appreciate that. Keep working at it!
That was my dad 🙂 He has virtually no experience with a camera but with some direction, he absolutely crushed it. He was in a groove by the end!

Strepitosa rossa...bella veramente!
I've built up a lot of bikes over the years but never in a place like this. Well done.
Thanks!
Nailed it with the build and edit! Job well done!
Thanks, Gary! I appreciate it, dude!
Very cool to build a bike on the trail, hoping you have all the tools and bolts
Thanks! Yep, got it done! You should have seen the checklists and triple-checking that went into the preparation 😳🤣
Awesome video man keep em coming.
Thank you! Definitely. There’s more coming. I’m stoked!
Nice video! I enjoyed it more than Gee Milner
Thank you! I really appreciate that. You’re too kind. Gee does a phenomenal job.
I also have a red 4runner with the new red patrol!
Oh no way! So sick! How could you not have the new red Patrol if you have a red 4Runner? 😆 It’s a good combo.

That was a sick video, what size is your frame?
Thanks, man! This was a big project! The frame is an XL. All the build details are in the description if you’re curious.
@@nickmcdvtt thank you very much
What for a Ahead Tool use this Mechanic!?! THX
If you are asking about the headset press, I just used a big bolt and a set of washers. Nothing fancy.
@@nickmcdvtt Yes i dont mean that-- No the Tool for the A/head Adjuster in the Fork the Guy cut a Thraed in the Fork!! THX

Imagine driving all the way there to forget a part or tool lol
You should have seen the checklists 😆
