Coil is the way forward if you can stretch the pennies and don't mind the slight weight increase. Small bump sensitivity is amazing and the bike just comes alive.
Okay wow! What a dream build. Great music coil conversion! Usually dream build videos are super boring with ASMR Music. This was the best build video. Brilliant spec.
I like very much the Transition frame in aluminum Patrol or Spire model.. I don't understand why you have the new Rockshox fork disassembled and changed the springs and some parts. I wonder were the original parts not good, or was the fork not fully assembled yet? Thanks for this video recension and answer to me.. Greetings from Switzerland..
Wants coil over air. Clearer trail feedback, more midstroke support, less friction, more consistent despite weather changes, less maintenance but heavier.
This one is 27.5 all round and feels pretty similar. I would say it is even more poppy and playful. Climbing is better too. The ability to switch the geo with the flip chip and use angle headsets is a major plus too.
great video - question - whats the key to routing the rear mech housing and dropper on this? looks like it doesnt have tube in tube guides so is it a pain to route? can you explain how you did it on this video or hows best as it doesnt actually show how you did it, would be really appreciated before mine arrives so i know what ive got to do :) cheers!
We went from the middle out. Go from lower port on downtube up to the large port by the head tube. We used the natural curve of the gear cable where it comes out of the coiled box to keep the cable end running along the top of the chainstay tube which is helpfully popped right out the port before the mech.
We used the 27.5 Lyrik with 37 offset with 170mm travel. Rough workings make it 6 mm lower but we are running it in the low setting to give it the same head angle.
Very playful. I wouldn't say the mullet setup isn't playful because it still is but I would say the full 27.5 setup just makes it feel like a bigger hitting Scout.
Wouldn't this leave your BB super low and your HTA significantly steeper? Transition recommends 200m to keep the same geo. Looks really awesome though, and is what I'd love to build at some point.
Hi Michael, with a quick measure up in the low setting I have the bike the BB height measures at 325mm and head angle at 63degrees. If i'm honest the drop of 8mm from Transitions 'estimated' BB height hasn't given me any clearance issues and I only had 170mm cranks about rather than the OEM 165mm.
@@bikeninja956 Climbs really good just like any Transition. Weight means very little if the geo is correct. You can have a real light bike that feels like a slog with poor geo. The steep seat tube really help with pedalling. If not for the coil conversions it would sit in the 34lbs area which isn't bad for an Aluminium 170mm travel machine.
@@dhiraj_77 I would go for a Medium. I'm at the very top of a medium. I have a 210mm dropper that still has an inch of post above the seat clamp. I've built this as more of a park bike hence why I opted for the smaller of the two sizes.
@@WhyteBikesExperience i have made the best experience with a SRAM CODE paired with Galfer brake disc's and Trickstuff-Power brake pads these brake monster pair are working very well in performance-wise and visually in custom bikes :)
+100 on Icetech rotors on Sram, If you know you know. Cables have now been booked on management course. You can sleep well knowing it was all torqued and the rider is still alive. ;)

The real dream build, didn't see any build that convert air to coil fork, that was sick

@@WhyteBikesExperience i will probably try that when i got a real bike not a entry level budget bike 😂

Thanks. Honestly the best upgrade you can do to any fork is a coil conversion. Especially the Push Acs3 kit.
Me encanta Patrol ...
Loved the parts list at the end, great touch
Building your own dream bike is living a dream. I wish I have a workshop like that.
You just wait to see our new workshop.....
what a nice build great filming too
Just wouaaahhh 😍😍😍
Dream bike for sure😍🤤
she isn't bad is she..
what headset did you got there? sick video btw
Awesome job
Thanks Jay
Beautiful
awesome build, sick machine.. can't wait another build.🤜🤛
Awesome, there are many more builds in the pipe line.....
So lit! 🥰
Anyway, fork used is 27.5?
Im also planning to go 27.5 all the way.. not a mullet..Thank you
Beautiful 😍
Thanks Terence

We went for the coil upgrades for the better small bump sensitivity and mid stroke support. You should try a coil bike if you get the chance.
Is the one up seatpost in 210 pushed down as far as possible on the final assembly plans? or we can lower it further. thanks ✌️
What are those cable houses they look mint!!
Jagwire silver braided 5mm
Beautiful bike! How does it ride especially in comparison to the carbon #oncoil full 27.5 version?

Did you put a bigger fork on it to run 27.5 front wheel

I also like to break the matrix and use sram brakes and shimano discs. And the SLX 12 switch is a coin-operated sram switch. 🐱👤🤙
Possibly the best kept secret is Icetech rotors with Sram.
Nice! un-mulleted? is it more or less playful?
Very playful. I wouldn't say the mullet setup isn't playful because it still is but I would say the full 27.5 setup just makes it feel like a bigger hitting Scout.
Ist it possible to Drive it as a pure 27.5" maybe with little longer fork and litlle Bit bigger Tier (2.6") ??
This is 27.5 all round with a 170mm fork rather than a 160mm. Was built to be a bit of a bike park build.

What was the final weight of this?
It could be possible change the orange stikers?
Yes it is, we can do custom decals for bikes as required.
Hi. How tall are you and what frame size are you? Thanks
Sam is 5'10''. Size is a medium with 210mm dropper. It's built as a park bike mainly so if doing longer rides/enduro a Large may be better.
