Reanimating the Owl House

- I reanimated a scene from The Owl House where the Clawthorne sisters argued. I didn't go far to their "main fight" because it'll take me a long time to animate and besides, I can't top that!
And as you can see, I tried a new animation software other than Flipaclip, it's Opentoonz! Who would've thought that animating with pen is easier than using your damn FINGERS?!

I don't think you understand how much I love the sigh of relief that Lilith did when Eda first showed up. It could mean a lot of things to as simple that Eda even showed up but I think Lilith was relived that Eda showed up to save Luz and didn't just abandoned her. I mean who knew what would happen if she didn't show up. Belos was watching the whole fight he could have easily dealt with Luz in a fit of rage. And I also like that Lilith looked sad at the beginning. Sad that she cursed her sister and can't heal it, sad that her sister shut her out of her life, sad that she had to drag a literal child to get to Eda.
Was that not how it looked in the show?

I interpreted it similarly, but more relief that Eda showed up so she can actually bring her in. Liliths obviously afraid of Belos, which is why she took extreme measures to capture Eda, going as far as endangering Luz. Belos’ manipulation and abuse runs deep.

Well this scene is very well animated and smooth even in the original.
It's true that sadly things weren't easy for The Owl House but where it matter the most they always made sure to have a really really smooth animation, example being this one and the Lumity kiss on the lips being way more smooth and high quality, I don't know/remember if other scenes are like that but I remember this two for sure.

THIS IS AMAZING! I love how Eda looks kinda unhinged compared to the actual one because she is so worried and angry she isn’t being completely rational and is acting on emotion rather than logic like Lilith
THIS IS SO WELL DONE! The body language and styling choice is amazing, you capture the energy and thrill in this shot so much! Genuinely one of the most Badass and Metal moments on the whole entire TOH show and you captured that so well!

Dare I say, this looks *BETTER* than the original. The characters are way more expressive, like, fear, anger and sorrow are way more clearly visible and exaggerated in some cases. Like, the sheer unadulterated *wrath* Eda feels in some of these scenes can not be topped. Also the way liquid in Eda's curse-meter amber thing dynamically moves is also an amazing little touch. The particles, the smoke effects, the character movement especially how characters swiftly charge forwards, the glowy parts like the magic effects and staves, EVERYTHING is top notch. I've never been this thrilled by a 56 second fan animation since... Ever, probably. I can not imagine how phenomenal this would've been if you animated the entire fight sequence. But as is, this is still absolute perfection. Probably the best fan reanimation I've *EVER* seen, no joke.
Literally, I can not imagine how much of an amazing masterpiece your own reanimation of the Eclipse Lake duel would be. I consider the original to be one of the greatest, if not *THE* greatest character fight in an animated series in recent times, and I would've absolutely loved to see your take on it, even though I would never put that much pressure to expect it to be better than the original, of course. Would've still honestly been an absolute *GODSEND,* considering how good this one is.

This is incredibly smooth, and really well made.
I love how Eda's animation is a little jittery and alive, where as Lilith is more calm and collected. It really ties into how each sister's characterisation. Also loved the pause on Eda's gem

This is my favourite scene in the entire show, and you did it justice in this animation.
I love the sigh that Lilith does when Eda shows up, knowing she actually has a chance of capturing her and healing her, the relief of knowing if she captures her, she can reverse the mistake she made all those years ago.
The guilt she feels about what she did to Eda and the fear of her abuser Belos is what is driving Lilith in this scene and you can truly tell by this animation.

I've never animated anything in my life, but I'm really fascinated by it and find it fun to imagine doing.
One thing I sometimes fantasize about redrawing is this fight, but with Eda at full power, without the curse. That exchange they have ('It's sad to see you slowing down, sister. Tell me! Is it the curse?'
'Maybe it is the curse. But then how pathetic are you, that you can't best me at my worst!') always made me curious how this would've played out if the curse really had lasted only one day.
How much more would she have been able to go off? What kinda spells would she have used? How quickly would she have been able to end the fight?
That's really fun to think about for me, and seeing this kinda showed me what it could look like. So thank you, random person on the internet. You've done a great service for my imagination.

I'm currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 6:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially on 57:42.I am currently crying so hard right now.
