I used to think of German watchmaking as "Nomos, the poor man's GO, which is the poor man's ALS" but as I near 40 trips around the sun, I find myself more and more drawn to Nomos. They know who they are, and they're going to keep doing that. I respect it. And while I do not fault any watch brand for mass-produced movements, I do give points for in-house, especially 'affordable' in-house movements like Nomos.
I’ve always liked them but they only have one watch that I’d buy and it’s because it has a bracelet with fitted end links but there’s way too much polish
When watch brands say “sport” watches, they’re really referring to the french term “Sport” in fashion which just encapsulates all things casual. I think this Nomos exemplifies that perfectly!
Really nice watches. I feel like this is the prefect watch for someone wants a great watch in the $5,000 range and it will be their daily. Completely different from the tradition designs and really modern. I wont spend $5k on this to be in a rotation, but in a year or so when you can pick up a used one for 2.5-3k... I'd love to pick one up.
My favourite thing about the Ahoi is that i like to imagine an alternate timeline where the oyster case had never been designed, and that functional Bauhaus sports watches were king! I love my Ahoi!!
over the years of my watch collecting ive watched and subbed to many different youtube channels. The only ones that have remained are you and nico leonard. every video is not just a watch review - but an episode of something truly entertaining. thanks for keeping up the quality work!
This Ahoi has been on my radar recently but hell there's nearly none review on RUclips I could find. Eventually it shows up in one of my most favorite channel, what a pleasure
As mentioned by others, great intro. Your video style and demeanor is gradually making you one of my favorite reviewers. Great watch btw. I do like Nomos
Nomos watches suit you. They fit perfectly into the standard video setup you use. Somehow the colors and straightforward designs integrate well with your setup and you. Not over-styled but clever accents.
Excellent. Appreciate you highlighting this line, it’s long been a favorite for its uniqueness within Nomos (and well beyond). And nice to see a medium size, I love the Tangente Sport but the 42mm + lug overhan is just too much size for a 6.5” wrist. The prices have been and clearly remain too steep, so this won’t see a ton of success, but they’re beautiful and fulfill sporty x Nomos well. Thanks for another great review
A really awesome watch from Nomos. The Ahoi has been on my short list of "someday, I'm going to blow my Christmas bonus on booze and watches" for some time now.
Still my fave watch channel. Love me a Nomos, love me small seconds, though will never cease to wonder why Nomos refuses sell a watch with a number 6 on it.
At some pt. I'll likely downsize my Club and Minimatik to one Nomos, and it'll prob be the Ahoi. That blue is wonderful. Great overview of these editions.
I love nomos, their watches are really spectacular. The one reason why I still haven't bought one though is because I want a steel bracelet. I have trouble wearing normal straps usually because I have nerve pain, and the mesh bracelets that they make which are steel, don't really do enough to protect against such an issue. I have been pretty close to buying their club campus with the steel bracelet but I like a lot of their other models more and that's probably why I haven't bought that one yet either. One of these days, I may just say screw it and get one because this is a brand that I admire to hell and back.
I'm collecting Nomos. In my mind at list. In fact I only have one, an automatic, no date. I know the next one I'll get, the perfect manual 33mm. Was looking for a date Nomos to add to my mostly virtual collection. I'll wait a bit more. The other calibers I'll skip. I like the decoration on the wolrd timers but don't agree with the dial execution. I'm really interested to see their first chronograph. Hope they don't focus on some calendar or GMT ones before it.
You make these watches look fantastic 😊👍🏼 That “Sand” version, which ever version it was in your video … couldn’t tell to be honest, was nice and sleek. And that “Baby Blue” goes well with your eyes 👀 I think you should acquire both. At THAT price point? It’s a bargain!! 😅 Well, maybe not that affordable I guess. NOMOS has a lot going for them but, that price? 🫢 Thanks for sharing 🙂👍🏼
I really love the way you tried to avoid the terrible misalignment of the window date with the other indexes selecting the number 3 as the date itself...
I love the blue hue though mixed with the orange accent. All the rest I think it's an elegant watch which is just too big for even your - what is it, 7''? don't know really -, too chunky and the lugs are infinitely long.
Another fun and informative video. What metal is showing must be a scratch magnet. I'd like to see a bead blasted version. The colorful dial would balance it.
This is my favorite watch review in a long time - nice video work and humor appreciated! I really like the new Ahois. I was able to resist Nomos' other 19mm lug width models. This one is proving harder to fight off!
Loved this video, you're the best watch reviewer for real for real. Nomos is a solid brand with unique design language but it's not for me, not my taste.
Somon is an administrative division in Tajikistan. Coincidence? Certainly but I;ve got nothing to add and also semicolons and apostrophes you need to pay attention to too
It sucks that Nomos has gotten so expensive…I really don’t think they provide for the money anymore. Too many other brands out there offer more for less. They still make beautiful watches, but I wouldn’t pay what they ask for.
Raw selvedge cutoff jean shorts with spaghetti tank tops when I need some Vitamin D. Oh, I almost forgot, “limited edition” full metal Mr G, because this is a watch channel…I think…
Nice watch but I still think that Nomos haven't got the lug design right yet. They're too long and clunky looking. Also, drilled lugs are not really necessary in this era of quick release straps.
The font on the date disk isn't the same as the one on the dial. That's disappointing. I liked it until I noticed this. Now, I wouldn't buy one anymore. I have a perfect Nomos. I'll only buy another perfect Nomos.
They have a lot of personality but I can’t stop seeing the lugs and how poorly they compliment the case. I know it’s a cost savings but hard for me to get around.

Well said
What an intro! I've never considered a Nomos, but this one looks beautiful.
I’ve always liked them but they only have one watch that I’d buy and it’s because it has a bracelet with fitted end links but there’s way too much polish
They are. This model very long lugs though. Wears larger.
When watch brands say “sport” watches, they’re really referring to the french term “Sport” in fashion which just encapsulates all things casual. I think this Nomos exemplifies that perfectly!
The analysis, the script, the humor, the footage, and the music, all superior! I love your videos! Thank you.
Thanks so much

Yes, all hail EBay.

that pretty cool thought!
Big fan of the how’d that watch do series
Gears, springs, cams, pinions... or maybe. IDK.
Great production value as always and I did enjoy the tongue in cheek tone of your video a lot! Keep up the good work :)

I really enjoy your videos. Entertaining review -- and Nomos make some classy pieces. They are definitely on my radar.
As mentioned by others, great intro. Your video style and demeanor is gradually making you one of my favorite reviewers. Great watch btw. I do like Nomos
Loved the setting for photo/video and the fade in at the end of sound recorded at the beach there. Really cool. Good-looking watches, too!
Absolutely beautiful. Nomos aesthetic is fantastic. Bauhaus design with a twist
Nomos watches suit you. They fit perfectly into the standard video setup you use. Somehow the colors and straightforward designs integrate well with your setup and you. Not over-styled but clever accents.
Thanks for the wonderful review!

Bro, that sand version on you looks incredible. I know you haven’t pulled the trigger on a Nomos yet, but this
should be in the running fo shiz.
A really awesome watch from Nomos. The Ahoi has been on my short list of "someday, I'm going to blow my Christmas bonus on booze and watches" for some time now.
Fine looking watch on a fine looking beach.
They really do have unique design language.
For a sports watch, I actually prefer the Club Sport Neomatik. Less classic Nomos design language, but a fantastic GADA watch.
Still my fave watch channel. Love me a Nomos, love me small seconds, though will never cease to wonder why Nomos refuses sell a watch with a number 6 on it.

Owned by the man himself 😂
@@YoureTerrific there's one. It's a fair cop, guv.
Not sure if anyone noticed that small little detail you put in - changing the date to ‘3’ to fit the numerals on the dial. You earn my subs.
The sand dial is gorgeous!
So much I love about this watch. ❤❤❤❤
At some pt. I'll likely downsize my Club and Minimatik to one Nomos, and it'll prob be the Ahoi. That blue is wonderful. Great overview of these editions.
I have a Nomos Autobahn. It’s fantastic. I intend to wear it for as long as possible. But if I didn’t have one, I’d probably be looking at these.
I had a Club - entry level piece - yet, so refined, such a delightful watch…
Thanks, great review, excellent video, beautifully shot. Love that watch.
Great bid! Both these new references are 🔥
Would def swoop one up at the right price
I like these but I feel like the date window could've been better designed. Fingers crossed for a dateless version.🤞
You should consider displaying your wrist size during the whole length of the video #neverforget
Love the outdoor videos! Looks kind of like Twin Rocks in Oregon.
Also thanks for the watchmaking lesson 😂

I always wondered how it do and how do I know how it do but now I do. Thanks ❤
Another fun and informative video. What metal is showing must be a scratch magnet. I'd like to see a bead blasted version. The colorful dial would balance it.
Nomos made a tegimented Club. Nomos Brinkers 50. I think this would be the droid you're looking for.
I love these Daniel Wellington homages! 😉
Looks perfect on your 7" wrist. My 6.5" wrist would need the 35" but those lugs? I don't know.
If they offer the Tangent in light blue, I would consider it. I don't see how Nomos justifies their pricing on some models.
As a man with a large hand stem I find small watches scary 😂 but I like nomos great video as always
Love your videos - and Nomos 👍🇩🇪 Im wearing my Tangente Blau Gold (the small one on my skinny 16cm wrist), and it fits like a glove.
33mm?
@@shuycg Think its 35mm.
I kinda love and hate the look of this watch. Hope to visit glashutte someday soon and try it on in person.
Stay tuned for something new from Nomos. Very, very soon.
I’m so waiting for an Orion with a moonphase
another amazing video...
Hi bursting eagle👋
Oh look! You've reached the seashore🥳
This is my favorite watch review in a long time - nice video work and humor appreciated! I really like the new Ahois. I was able to resist Nomos' other 19mm lug width models. This one is proving harder to fight off!
When it comes to fine imitation watches, nkuwan delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
I love your videos my guy
Thanks
You said 20 meters of water resistance at the end. Slip of the tongue. Good video!
Good catch. Totally on purpose to test you. A+.
@@YoureTerrific😂😂😂
Great video
Awesome video and beautiful watch, wanna get the sand dial! Ugly beach
Actually laughed out loud at the “how that watch do”
Probably the best Nomos - great video. Oregon coast???
Oregon coast. Lincoln City.
I vote for a recurring segment called "How that watch do"
Beautiful watch, only thing that bugs me is the lug to lug😖
Yes, but it helps with a strap instead of a bracelet, so it will fall and taper more natural, even on a smaller wrist.
I like a few of their models, but not at MSRP. There's way more out there with SO much more to offer at $4k.. Great video though!!
Where can I find the YoureTerrific jeans basketball video?
You can find it in your wildest dreams.
I'm a fan of quirky watches. I'm a fan of German watches.
But four grand for... that? No. Someone at Nomos is taking the Michael.
Dang, i wasn't going to like German watches. I was going to like Swiss and Japanese ones. But this i love 👌
Is the watch/movement reasonable antimagnetic ?
Loved this video, you're the best watch reviewer for real for real. Nomos is a solid brand with unique design language but it's not for me, not my taste.
love the Nomos design vibes. i would love to see their take on a timing bezel though...
Somon is an administrative division in Tajikistan. Coincidence? Certainly but I;ve got nothing to add and also semicolons and apostrophes you need to pay attention to too
I wish i would own the sand color dial version today, immediately! However my bank account says no :(
Love the review. Saddened by the price on these. I want to support these guys but, cmon....
I love everything about this but the price
5:45 - 20M of water resistance? I’m guessing you meant 200M?
Ahoi Ahoy?
I gotta start answering the phone like that
The seconds hand looks a little jumpy to me.
What is your favorite Nomos watch? For you, of course.
Maybe the Worldtime.
It sucks that Nomos has gotten so expensive…I really don’t think they provide for the money anymore. Too many other brands out there offer more for less. They still make beautiful watches, but I wouldn’t pay what they ask for.
Ahroy!
Second best Ahoi next to “Chips.”
Wish this came just with a more traditional face colour . Maybe soon - most of their watches do
7 and a half minutes feel too short... I was enjoying the video so much 😭
7.5 minutes is long for me. Oh, the video. Right, right.
Raw selvedge cutoff jean shorts with spaghetti tank tops when I need some Vitamin D.
Oh, I almost forgot, “limited edition” full metal Mr G, because this is a watch channel…I think…
I thought there should have been a plural designation to multiple Nomos? Nomosi? Nomoses? Nomosses?😂
The date window should be at 6
The long lugs -- especially these, which mostly jut out horizontally instead of curving down is frustrating for us
The case back LOL
Nice watch but I still think that Nomos haven't got the lug design right yet. They're too long and clunky looking. Also, drilled lugs are not really necessary in this era of quick release straps.
6:34 what kind of take is this? Without explanation even??
🎉🎉🎉 SEVEN INCH WRIST 🎉🎉🎉
For me Nomos looks like a gumball machine watch.
i like my seestern version
Twenty meters of WR is a bit low for a sports watch-for me. 5:46
The font on the date disk isn't the same as the one on the dial. That's disappointing. I liked it until I noticed this. Now, I wouldn't buy one anymore. I have a perfect Nomos. I'll only buy another perfect Nomos.
lovely watch but there are SO many other good options at this price point.
Love the watch... but I will probably never purchase one at that price point. Sorry. Maybe if she was $3,000, but not for well over 4k.
...sure I looked great but things got really weird... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Happens a lot.
TWENTY meters of water resistance? Can't even pour a cup of coffee with that on.
20 ATM means 200 meters of water resistance
They have a lot of personality but I can’t stop seeing the lugs and how poorly they compliment the case. I know it’s a cost savings but hard for me to get around.
daniel wellington
@1:39 I'm color blind...I can't guess.
Your "de-esser" plug-in is set too strong.
I love NOMOS, but at this price, we’re in Cartier territory.
