This watch is near perfection! I got the same one back in early 2023 and i cant find anything better at this price point, sporty and elegant, great pick enjoy it!

I have the blue 42mm version. And I literally wear it 24/7. If I have to dress up, I swap to a finer one with a leather strap or go without. But this one sits under a shirt cuff very nicely, and isn't too flagrantly sporty. It also has 30 atm, so it can be worn in the ocean or the shower. Find your size, and you've got your own GADA watch.

I don't think this watch is for me, it just doesn't dazzle me visually. But holy cow, those specs! Why is almost every other 200m capable watch 13mm thick or more? Without a display caseback!? They should learn a thing or two from these guys.

Nice thorough reviews. I bought it from my local AD, brought it home, lived with it for a few days, but found it uninspiring (as did my wife), and sadly returned it. It’s really a spec monster, and from afar it’s got great looks, but close up if simply did t do it for me. Thanks for a terrific review, however.

Gorgeous watch. I prefer 38 or 39mm. 47mm lug to lug. 20mm lug width would make this watch perfect. And yes they should include the leather strap, especially at that price of $3500 USD

Thanks for this great review. I love the watch and especially the color combination between the dial and the leather strap. I would swap the bracelet for the leather strap in a heartbeat. I am not a snob, but the only steel bracelet that I would these days consider for myself is the Rolex oyster bracelet.

Normally, 37mm would be perfect for those of us with smaller wrists…..but the lug to lug on this one is too long. It would have been perfect with a 46mm lug to lug.

This Nomos Club Neomatic looks like a great watch for the money. And those specs are outstanding! When Nomos makes a version of this watch, a little larger, all brushed case and bracelet, and with a quick adjust clasp then game over. Nomos wins! I'd sell my Rolex, buy the Nomos, and then take my wife and Nomos on a very nice vacation. I'm not kidding....

I own the now discontinued Signal Rot dial version of this watch. It has proved to be far tougher than it looks. I don't know how it is elsewhere but in Europe good discounts can be found on Nomos watches from time to time. Even at full retail they are good value.

I have a very flat 7” wrist, so the 42 Sport blue is perfect for me. I’ve owned it for a year and of the small (6 watch) collection I have, it is easily my favorite. If the smaller versions had a date (which I prefer) I would try one, but at this point I’m actually considering getting the 42 in black! It’s just that good. Excellent review. 😎👍🏼 I wish they made a 39 in glossy black. That would be the ultimate Explorer alternative that would actually be better than the Rolex IMHO

Watch enthusiasts always like to qualitfy which watch is a 1-watch calibre. But more than often, it is just a fairy tale, they will never settle for 1. The true 1-watch owner will not bother about such categorization, to him, that watch could be any watch actually.

A great quick review Oleg. I like this model from Nomos a lot but I already have this type covered in my collection so I'm unlikely to look at a purchase anytime soon. I do have the Nomos Ludwig 36 with the display case back that shares the same in house movement and is even thinner but only 3 bar water resistant. Because bezel is so small it wears much bigger than a 36 would suggest on my 7" wrist. A small point to mention on the 3001 movement in my watch is that it is a tad more noisy when the rotor is spinning. Thanks for sharing.

Changed your review format? Oleg? Honestly, I prefer your previous style, ha ha. even though this looks bit more professional, but I feel that this format loses the connection between you and audience, Just my 2 cents. The watch does look small on your wrist. you and I have the same wrist size & 37 is too small. I think 40 would be perfect as a dress watch & 42 for diver. IMHO, the Nomos design concepts are getting bit old. Of course, it has their amazing in-house movement and signature dial designs, however, it is about time for them to take a bold step forward. I am not talking about "line-extension" (perfect example as Invicta :+), but using the similar Nomos concept to test out different markets. (Skagen (Denmark) was one of the hottest contemporary watch maker 30, 20 years ago, they never improved nor expanded, so they became absolute. Given that Skagen was a very entry level company).
As for the bracelet & clasp, I totally agree with you. it just does not go with the dial and case design. it looks like it belongs with some other watch. With $3500 price tag, I can see there are so many other alternatives around, in spite of that gorgeous looking movement aside... Thanks for the review, Oleg.

Did you say this is a 3hz movement with 42 hours power reserve? If this is accurate I don't see the appeal, in house or not for a $3500 watch.
Also you state that it's 200m water resistance with a push pull crown? Is this accurate?

    • @shuycg
      @shuycg 9 месяцев назад

3hz, 42h, but also 8.5mm height. I'd always take size over PR. I'd take anything over PR, actually. Give me a manual 24h PR with an indicator, in a 6mm case and I don't complain.

Definitely not an everyday piece. Far too much polishing.
Although the diameter is perfect the lug to lug is far too long and the 18mm strap is too thin.
On another note; why would you think a 37mm would be too small for your wrist?
I have an 8 inch wrist and I wear pieces from my 31mm 1949 Smiths up to a 47mm grand diver and a 53mm GShock Mudmaster and they all wear perfectly.

Watches in the thousands of dollars ranges can learn a lot from watches in the few hundred dollar range: no pin / collar bad joke on bracelets. Cheap chinese watches have moved beyond this horrible system. People are sick of the ubiquitous bracelet. Tired of boring dial materials, and hands. Chrome surrounds under the indices, always superior. Mirror finish on the clasp, a rookie mistake. In summary: NOPE.
