    Jenni - "The new club sport measures 37mm in diameter,"
    Me - Nice! 37mm is good for us smaller wristed guys.
    Jenni - "with a height of 8.4mm,"
    Me - Wow!! Nice and slim, like I like my watches!
    Jenni - "and a lug to lug of 47.7mm"
    Me - WTF?! The lugs are ABSURDLY long. So much for this watch. :/

      Tbh I have the Club Campus 38 which has 38mm lugs, and it sits beautifully on my 7" wrist. Because they are so thin, they really melt perfectly into your wrist.

    The 42mm version of this is my current daily driver, and I don’t normally wear watches every day. As useful as a Datejust or Submariner, but slimmer on the wrist and not conspicuously expensive.

    Cool good looking watches. I just wish across maybe more of Nomos's watch range they could adjust their lug treatment. They just seem a bit longer than they should be.. especially the ones that are really straight and angular off the case. I just don't see the need to go quite that wide on the lugs for, otherwise, such carefully considered and refined watch designs from the brand.

  • @TheDanishSpaceman

    Wow, nice footage and review.
    I have a 6,75-7 inch wrist size, and for me the 33-35mm Nomos "thin bezel" watches are the right size. 37mm for a thin-ish bezel watch is too sporty a look. For that it needs more utility, like a rotating bezel , an alarm or whatever :) Nomos, please make more 33-35mm watches, unless you are coming with thick bezel watches. Such a shame that dressy wathces are SO big... they look like a little frying pan on the wrist!

  • @jharris947
    @jharris947 Год назад +2

    Excellent video. 37mm???....at 0:39 to my eyes it looks really big on your wrist, more like a 41mm. Not keen on the small seconds replacing the figure 6 or the shiny centre links and clasp. Never been into Nomos but apart from my criticism of the small seonds I do like the design and the blue of this model.

  • @jirikrajnak9047
    @jirikrajnak9047 Год назад

    With those male endlings, the lug-lug is easily at or over 50mm. A bit overkill, relative to a 37mm watch head. You'd need mid to large wrists to pull it off without lug overhang, but then the watch face would look small. You can't win with this watch. Woud love to see how the polished clasp looks after a week of desk diving. The movement looks a bit pedestrian. Have seen similar decoration on watches several orders of magnitude cheaper. Applied cotes de geneve with plain cogwheels strewn around is an underwhelming sight. Nice watch overall, and the price seems to be close at the limit that they could realistically ask for it.

  • @rabonour
    @rabonour Год назад +1

    Great rundown. I want to like Nomos, but the dials just aren't quite right for me. This might be one of my favorites from the brand, but like you and many others I think the lugs kill it. My wrists can handle the length, but I think they ruin the proportions of the watch.

    Nomos. Reminds me of the spaceship Nostromo. In a good way. These are beautifully engineered watches and they look lovely. Let down by silly long Dracula fang length lugs and a mirror finished clasp on a high traffic area will end in being a bit careful with it. Some tweaks and these watches would appeal. The Swiss make the best watches. So do the Germans. As I read on a watch ad in Zermatt 20 years ago.

    Nomos's long lug lengths are a frequent obstacle for me. I can deal with it in things like the Tangente where the thin case width lets long, tin lugs work visually as well as let a smaller dial size look larger than it is but I don't see the point of it on what looks like so many sports watch cases out there that just blend together. I'm also not the biggest fan of the Club style dial face as it looks like of chunky compared to the normal Nomos case design but it does work better here.

    8:22... I don't see where it overhangs on a 150mm, especially when lungs and links bend down to hug the small wrist.

    Beautiful watch , but 37mm is a tad too small for me. I would love a 39mm version.

    Loved this review, I also think the lug to lug is huge and it ruined the wearability of this watch. Could you please review this TISSOT PRX 35MM POWERMATIC 80 STEEL & 18K GOLD BEZEL, it also has 44 Diamonds and it's under 2k! It's a real good looking watch.

      With that one, you are mostly buying materials. The design is good. The caliber is basic and the finishing is that of a under 1000 euro watch (leading the segment, maybe), but not that of a 2000 euro watch.

    I saw a NOMOS at the pawn shop last month, White face, black leather strap, nice watch but was asking $2500 for it. Nope, not paying that for a watch on the used market when full retail new is $3000.

      Wow, watching this video not seeing the price, I would have valued this watch at 1,500 to 1,700.

      @@casualsuede exactly. And at that price I’d consider it. It’s laughable at over $3k. Nomos needs to come to grips with SUI > GER. Ditto Sinn.

    Hi Jenny, really nice review! As an IBWC member I was waiting for your video. Are you sure there is no micro adjustment on the clasp as in the 42mm version? It's not easy to catch and use as a micro-link adjustment, basically there are two small pins inside the clasp that squeeze a spring bar so it's possible to move the bracelet into the 3 small holes. It's not the best but it's a nice touch to have, I hope Nomos doesn't left it just for the 42mm as for the screw-down crown. Great content as always!

    • @dukes70
      @dukes70 Год назад

      Yes there are manual micro adjust with the pins that require a tool, just no adjust on the fly

    • @micheledante396
      @micheledante396 Год назад

      @@dukes70 Sorry but no, on the 42 mm there is no need for a tool, but it's true that it not could be done on the fly as on a Rolex since you have to take the watch off your wrist

      @@micheledante396 I was referring to the new 37mm model. She showed the side of the clasp with the holes in it

    • @micheledante396
      @micheledante396 Год назад

      @@dukes70 Even the 42mm has the holes on the side of the clasp for micro adjustment but without tool, that's why I was asking for the 37mm!

      @dukes70 Год назад

      @@micheledante396 I re-watched and at 2:24 she says there’s no quick adjust but you can micro adjust with the holes on the side so I take that as you need a tool to micro but I am not familiar with the 42 or Nomos. I’m just getting into this brand more recently so you seem to have much more experience with it! I like the look overall! Cheers!
