Thanks for another excellent review. Could you please review a Frederique Constant at some point? I'd be interested to hear your opinion.

Thank you very much. I'd love to but I'd need to find somone to lend me one since these types of brands don't support reviewers in my experience, sadly! Hopefully one day. Thanks for watching.

Nomos is interesting. It's one of those brands that pops up super quickly when you get into watches and clearly enjoys a genre and price range crossing popularity and recognition. I certainly find it difficult to argue with Nomos propositions and generally like their neo-Bauhaus design language with the odd flourish. Yet, it's not really a price range I operate in and the in-house movements are great and commendable but not a persuasive selling point necessarily. Ultimately, I think I like more than love Nomos. I'm not sure if that would change encountering one in the metal. With a lug to lug of 49mm this is also likely to wear too large for me despite smaller proportions, which is a downside of the far extending lug designs, though I admit, it probably would only just feel too large and probably only in my eyes. So, yes, they always pique my interest, but in this sort of price category of vertically integrated brands, I might find myself dreaming about GS or the more excentric Horage sooner.

Yes I agree, they present themselves in a much better way than the majority of other brands and 'feel' modern, stylish and fun. The lugs always come up but with this one, they work. They just look long and the 49 is just a number here with straps that fall off immediately. We have so few brands that give us something genuinely unique, stylish and fun that I think almost for that reason alone it's worth jumping in. Worth looking second hand perhaps? I have seen some very well priced ones around for other models. Thanks for watching as per always!

@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews yes. I agree with all of this. Actually the Bonos that perhaps has most most appealed to me in the last is one of this series, the Ahoi Neomatic Date Atlantic, with the date at six and the dark blue colour. This is, however, also bigger still. Where Nomos gets more creative I often don't like it that much and when they stay true to modern freshened up classics, such as with the club or Ludwig etc. it would only be because of minute detail preferences or convincingly better finishing that I'd think of Nomos. It's design that almost always pleases but doesn't quite captivate me. Among this, the Ahoi does strike an interesting balance that has a lot of originality. If they'd have my preferred configuration in the smaller size (I don't think so) it would be one to eagerly watch out for on the secondary market.

Every five years, but the cost you’ll have to ask Nomos for. Thanks for watching 👍
