    Fantastic season, Marc. Perce Rock is what I couldn't remember... your favorite from this season.
    I personally liked seeing Cape May again. But actually being there, I know, it is too congested trying to get around. Not fun...
    And I was truly fascinated with Wildwood and it's incredibly well persevered Americana modern architecture.
    That is so much a part of my childhood... like the old Howard Johnson's and Stuckeys and their Salt Water Taffy that would drag the fillings right out of your teeth.😮
    DooWhoop... what a name, aye? 😅
    Thanks for the memories...😊🎉

      We didn't have much issue getting around Cape May, Gord. Perhaps it's because it was just after Labor Day? Or maybe it's because it's the "end of the line" for the Jersey Shore. Either way, it wasn't that busy at all.
      Oh, man...I remember that HoJo's taffy. I'll occasionally pick up some salt water taffy from Sweet's, a confectioner right here in SLC. They do a pretty good job.

    Marc, you clearly had an amazing Rv adventure in 24. Very happy to see that you enjoyed our little part of the world. Having grown up about 45 minutes from Perce, it is nice to see that others appreciate the beauty as much as we do. Grave's Island is also special to us, as our son and daughter in law live nearby so we often camp there and get a great visit at the same time. We also spent some time in the Finger Lakes area this past fall, and absolutely loved it. Actually we camped in Watkins Glenn State Park and it was superb. The Natchez trail is high on my bucket list now, certainly in part thank to you. It had been on my radar, but having watched your experience there confirmed it. We are also looking forward to getting our trailer back out west to spend some time in "your" neck of the woods. Continued safe travels, and looking forward to following along with your 2025 season.

      Thank you as always, Shawn. We positively adored the Gaspe and Maritimes both, as this episode illustrated, and look forward to some day getting back there to explore further. In the meantime, 2025 is shaping up to include another Canadian experience, this time out west through BC and Alberta. We'll be traveling a bit with the YT channel Eddie at Large and our friends Dale & Pat, and we've already successfully booked sites together in Banff, Jasper, Yoho & Waterton Lakes National Parks when each one's reservations opened this week and last.
      Outside of those four national parks, however, we want to get back to boondocking more. Boondocking was certainly something that we missed by heading east in 2024. We have a lot of research and satellite imagery scanning ahead over the next few months.

      @@GrandAdventure wow that sounds like another fun season coming up. We lived in BC for 8 years back in the 90s, so did a lot of roaming around that area back then. It has been awhile though, but we should be getting back out there sometime in the next 18 months. That is the plan anyway. Enjoy

      @@ShawnPatterson402 if there are any must-sees from back there, backchannel me. Right now we're planning to enter BC near Fernie, head up through Waterton, Banff, Icefields and Jasper, then head west all the way to Prince Rupert, then back down through Whistler to Vancouver before jogging east through Kelowna to Nelson, and south back into the US.

    That was quite an adventure this last year. How did the New F350 work for you ?

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  3 часа назад +1

      Hey Larry! It certainly was. That F-350 is amazing. It pulls the trailer like it's not even back there, I get terrific fuel economy, and the 48-gallon tank means that I can tow for ~500 miles between fill-ups.

    Over 10K miles and not a burned up wheel bearing, broken spring or damaged axle, amazing! then the Benz took a dump on you..........

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  2 часа назад

      😁Very true, Charles. Getting our trailer wheel bearings repacked is turning into an annual spring ritual for us. BUT ... we did have a broken trailer leaf spring in Bar Harbor, Maine this year. Fortunately, it broke right as we were rolling into town just a few miles short of our campground there, and a local Maine mobile RV tech made the problem as painless as possible for us.

    • @CharlesinGA
      @CharlesinGA 2 часа назад +1

      @GrandAdventure I must have missed that

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  Час назад

      @@CharlesinGA no worries. It was an easy resolution, and therefore easy to miss. I heard the clanging of the broken leaf, and pulled over in Ellsworth, ME where I instantly saw what was making the noise. So I just limped to the campground, where on check-in I secured the RV tech's business card and referral. I called him up, and by noon the next day he had finished replacing the broken leaf spring right at our campsite. Easy peasy.
