It was so cool to have met you today Marc at the big tent RUclips content creators meeting up. 😊 I’m from Montreal Quebec. Thank you for the selfie. I’ve watched many of your wonderful and informative travelling documentaries for many years. Thank you and continued joy Marc.
There are oodles of beautiful places in which to camp in the greater Verde Valley area and they don’t cost a single red cent! No need to spend money on a campground. Wake up in the morning and look out the window at the red rock Mountains and cliffs, streams and gorges, and a multitude of areas in which to hike. Boondocking is the only way to truly see all of Arizona’s magnificence!
Boondocking is usually our preference, Tom, and we had a great week in the Valley back in 2020 off Forest Road 525C. Because of working from the road, we go through an enormous amount of electricity - three separate PCs running 24/7, Starlink, a desk phone, etc. - so when the days get short and sun angles low in late November, we simply don't get the solar production we need to keep our batteries topped off. So at that time of year, it's easiest for us to keep working on hookups.
Marc, thank you again for another great video 📹. Our winter trip took an unexpected turn, We took "The Friendly Skies", and flew to Florida. Our awesome daughter and son-in-law picked up the "Snow Bird 🐦 Hideaway", so I didn't have to haul Bertha behind the Old Tundra across country. Surprisingly, there was more snow ❄️ on the ground from Penscola to Lake City. FL than at home. Beside your awesome commentary and history, your selection of music is GREAT 👍! Enjoy Q25, and we look forward to the 2024 Recap. Ron and Kim
Verde Valley is so Beautiful and Breath taking. We are Thousand Trail members and always to Thousand Trails Verde Valley off of Thousand Trails Rd in Cottonwood. We too visit Jerome each time we go. That BTW was a great video. We went to Dead Horse State Park, not even aware you could camp there? Wow!
That turkey looked great! Yes, Sedona's beauty is only exceeded by it's traffic. Have been going there since 1986 when my parents bought a home there. Now it's our family retreat. Just have to remember to avoid the traffic!
I can't believe how bad it's gotten. Such a shame, for the area itself is absolutely gorgeous. I'm convinced that those countless rotaries merely worsened the problem.
This is a very professional video. I appreciate the info, the opinions, and the camera work. The audio and music choices were great too. Happy new year! I look forward to your next season of adventures. Peace
I really was surprised to see the ancient ruins in this episode. I was not aware of them. The ruins are truly spectacular! What a great year of travel you accomplished. I thank you for sharing it with all of us. Suzane
Hi Marc, we loved the episode (as always). I’ve been wanting to visit Dead Horse Ranch State Park for a long time. Your wonderful episode certainly reinforces this desire. Thank you for the episode. Safe travels.
Oh my gosh…. What a great adventure overall throughout the year. Thank you. Sorry your plans cut short. Always a pleasure viewing your GA’s. Hope you’re having a great time in Q. ❤
MARK, Great video, wow, you were challenged with all the need for handling the circumstances....2024 was a Grand Adventure handled well by you. Looking forward to the recaps of 2024 and the Adventures to come, great job, I'll be watching...Thomas.
Oh and as far as Sedona goes, it looks like traffic has only gotten worse since 2016. I concur with your sentiment Marc regarding returning to the area.
Thanks Marc... what a truly beautiful area. How many autumns did you get to experience this year? The landscape you showed was just great. Many great vistas all over the place, there. I loved the two RV parks you stayed at. Really nice venues and not too expensive. I hope you get Patricia's vehicle resolved. What a drag having to leave it there. Did you recover it, fixed, yet... or not? I had forgotten you had visited this area back in 2020. Wow... so much time has passed by since then. I have really enjoyed vicariously sharing in all your adventures...😊 Gord
For a while, Gord, it seemed like we were following autumn as it moved. That was really, really cool. Believe it or not, we finally just got the car back yesterday. We had a rush trip to Phoenix from Quartzsite to get back in time for last night's Premiere. We love having you along vicariously.
@@GrandAdventure Thanks... Glad to hear the vehicle issue is resolved for you. Yeah, that is a really nice experience to be following autumn wherever you go. Looking forward to next week's compendium for this past year. It should be awesome and exhausting at the same time. You covered a lot of ground this year. Gord
Thanks Bill! Believe it or not, we finally just got it back yesterday. It was an unexciting rush trip to Phoenix from Quartzsite to get back in time for last night's Premiere.
Great video!!! Did you go back and get the car? Ron here in South Carolina. we were about 2 weeks ahead of you in Canada and Maine this year 2024. I think in 2025 I will just follow you around. Next week I am gonna get several friends around to watch your 2024 recap!
Thanks so much Ronald! I hope that you had as good a swing through the Maritimes as we did. Believe it or not, we finally just got the car back yesterday.
Love your channel been checking your videos out for at least 3-4 years 🎉 I have a question Do you have a video helping us to find boondocking I go to visit my daughter in Chandler every so often and been paying for RV site but if I could find a boondocking place with in an hour it would really help Don't suppose you have any advice 👍🙏😊
Thank you Carol! We're proud to count you as a Grand Adventurer. This video ruclips.net/video/qbIgOAkf6No/видео.html shares our process for finding our own boondocking sites, and should provide exactly what you're asking for.
Sure thing. In order: 1. Padre Island National Seashore, TX 2. Pebble Creek Ski Area, Idaho 3. Creede, Colorado 4. North Fork Big Wood River, in Saawtooth National Recreation Area, Idaho 5. Shoshone Falls, in Twin Falls, Idaho 6. Along the River RV Camping in Dolores, Colorado

I'm glad I visited Sedona 25 years ago before it got so popular.
@@Hiker_Mike It's gotten crazy in the last few years.
Valley Verde seems to be a very nice place to visit , and we will do that ! Thank You Guido for another great video.
Our pleasure, Diana. Thanks for watching!

@@ronaldmorse3654 Thank you both! Glad you had a safe trip. Isn't that crazy with the snow in the Florida panhandle?

@ Yep l agree but don’t know the solution above my pay grade 🤣
@UncleMilty ditto.
Jerome is a very cool place to visit.
Gord
Wow, sedona looked so crowded. Worst than walking around the big tent in January. Don't forget to have the wheel bearing repacked. Thanks Don
Yep, it's time. Slightly overdue by my 10, 000-mile rule. Pretty much every spring for us now.
This is a very professional video. I appreciate the info, the opinions, and the camera work. The audio and music choices were great too. Happy new year! I look forward to your next season of adventures. Peace

And we're thrilled that you've been so dedicated to joining us virtually.
We did this in 2016. Dead Horse Ranch and all. Even rode the Verde Canyon Railroad. Was such a beautiful area!
It truly is, John, with so much to offer the visitor.

Terrific! We're happy that this provided a preview for what you can look forward to this spring.
That's my town. 😊
You live in a great town, Lynn. We loved Cottonwood.
Great episode Mark..living in AZ we frequent the area ….always love stopping in Cottonwood and especially Jerome
We can certainly understand why, Denis.
Thanks for the video. Another place I need to go
Thanks Joe! And it was wonderful to be able to sit down last night and spend some one-on-one time chatting by the campfire.
Oh and as far as Sedona goes, it looks like traffic has only gotten worse since 2016. I concur with your sentiment Marc regarding returning to the area.
It's gotten crazy. I swear those ridiculously frequent traffic rotaries have only made it worse.
CHEERS Marc late to watching but enjoyed the Q25 campfire.
Sorry that I missed you last night, Norm. By the time I got out there you were already gone.
So you put another to go place on our list again 😂 😂 have great and safe travels and say high for me.

Marc, what engine you have under the hood of your f250 or 350?
Randy, it's a 350, and has the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel.
Don't mean to be a pain, but can some one tell me/us where the sites are in the intro, my wife keeps asking?
Thanks!!!!!!
Sure thing. In order:

6. Along the River RV Camping in Dolores, Colorado
Wow that’s $900 a month
Sure it is, but this isn't for monthly stays. $30 for W/E in a State Park is rather typical.
The “park” looks like a trailer park for $30 a night
It's much nicer than a trailer park. Nice spacing between sites with desert landscape.
I enjoy your videos but your music forces me to mute and read your subtitles.
However you prefer to watch is fine with us. However, we feel that the proper soundtrack enhances the video elements, instead of detracting from it.
Superb quality videos. Great work.
Thank you Eric!
