Dave Grohl's first show with Nirvana.
All footage before "Love Buzz" was unseen prior to September of 2016. Far shot footage in the 2-Cam mix
of "Love Buzz" is also new (I made the choice to mix the new footage w/ AMT1 which was close and made for a better overall video).
Thanks to M.J. at Livenirvana for capturing and sharing the new footage.
Full audio for this show is in circulation. The Nirvana live guide has the full setlist: www.nirvanaguide.com/1990.php
    Sliver is......interesting.

Yes, well you we’re lucky then. Where I’m from there’s no viable local music scene. Just a lot of corner Bars locally owned and the owners play the Radio 📻 or Stereos. No body bothers with live Bands playing.
      So we have nothing really.
So to me to hear original live music that’s actually good is amazing!

After this they toured Europe and started drawing more and more people to the shows and people started to sing along to the songs! They were getting incredibly popular because the songs were so good and powerful!

Beat them drums like they owe you money if you wanna be heard...... BUt in all honesty, it added to what the nirvana sound became.. It would have had that raw sound without the drums being played that hard.. If I could time travel to any point in time I’d go to a nirvana show. I know that would seem like a waste to a lot of people but not to me. As a drummer, guitarist, and bassist music is very important to me and nirvana is the band that introduced me to it. When I was no older than 3 or 4 in the car my dad would play nirvana and Metallica on the radio and I would love it. For my ninth birthday I got a drum set (which I begged for for months). Nirvana represents freedom to do whatever you want whenever the fuck you want to me. I was born in 2006, so I never got to see them live. I wish I could have seen them live just once. Even just one song.

    • @texantompaine4509

I was born in the mid-80's. All my favorite bands were dead bands my dad was introducing me to as well. I empathize. Sadly, I didn't discover any of the 'Seattle' scene until '97-'98 so again, all my favorite bands are the dead ones...with rare exception (notably QOTSA, the best living rock band, imho).

I always wanted to play drums. Nirvana made me finally do it. I saw them live once. I barely remember it because I was so drunk. Stupid choices as teen. What I do vividly remember was seeing Foo Fighters 1st show ever in Nyc at a tiny club called Tramps. Only a few hundred people. That show is burned into my memory.

Judging by Kurt’s lyrics, this was back when Stay Away was still Pay To Play and Breed was still Imodium.

Kurt’s voice wasn’t the best here but it is cool to see this historic footage. As others said, really good in bloom solo and there’s not much footage of Kurt with this haircut
