For all his goofiness, Krist is a super-intelligent dude. He threw so much crazy energy into Nirvana, but also gave really thoughtful insights into their approach in interviews.
Krist is a true legend. He's so smart but also hugely witty. He obviously sees deeply through how corrupt and broken the system is around him and others and uses his wit to expose and communicate that so well. All 3 had a great bond with each other. Dave is kind of learning the ropes and hence is happy to hang back , while Kurt perfectly adds to the mix and provides excellent unpredictable humorous interludes. Respect to all 3 as they definitely wanted to prove they don't really care about fame nor fortune and to me they carry on with the ethos of Hawkwind of being a people's band. Something very few bands ever achieved and held onto.
@Nexus Six Except that in 2020 Krist thanked Trump for using troops on protestors. So,his political views are not the same as the two guys who made him wealthy.
@Nexus Six In case you didn't know..that quote of Krist has on the internet turned into Kurt saying "Donald Trump would make a great president instead of politicians". Google that. Nirvana's manager even answered that Trump is the antithesis of everything Kurt Cobain stood for. So,we must shine a light on Novoselic now,to end that lie.
Right before fame and glory. Kurt and Krist were really close.. That's really noticeable. Although Dave's is very well adjustable to them and fits really well, I can see here that Kurt and Krist were buddies, good real friends. Kurt was really smiling here, they were having a great time no doubt.

@@pjrosello well I'd like to think some young band would write down in their notes "emmanuel lewis has the most amazing vocabulary"
I said the same things as those who never seen Nirvana at 21 years old about the doors and beatles then i figured i drown my sorrows by seeing AIC, Nirvana, STP, Pearl Jam, etc in the early 90s to forget about it all.
Imagine the stories you will tell younger generations about the "Idols" you seen when you were wishing to see nirvana.
Because they are natural and not full of shit.
Nothing more comforting than watching a nirvana interview in the early days while rolling a joint
Best part of nirvana is that they are real on camera
"It will be a household word in no time."
How right Kurt was...
I WAS CRACKING UP THE WHOLE TIME WATCHING THIS & THE WAY KURT & KRIST REACT & THEIR INSIDE JOKES...😉👍
LOVE SEEING KURT CARE FREE & HAPPY!!
R.I.P. KURT MISS YOU EVERY DAY...💕😢🎸🎵🎶
😊😊😊
Miss a guy you never knew? Ok.
@ropey bird uh. No
I can really tell they were thrilled to do this interview.
14:14 "Sit down. Sit down! Sit on the floor!"
Idk why but the way Kurt said that was funny
“Sit Down! 😡☝️”
11:43 is so fucking funny, and the way the interviewer just says “..ok” after all of that
"It will be he household word in no time” -kurt
Well he was painfully correct
And Still! All these years later. My 10 year old loves Nirvana.
« …Marijuana has done more for my memory than I can remember! » Ah Krist… Man I miss these guys.
Nirvana : definition - 3 nobodies who became the biggest band in the world
Dave lighting Kurts joint seemed so wholesome ❤️
This interview never gets old.
"Did you know it is illegal to smoke a flower..." 🤣😂
Chris is a hilarious man, love his sense of humor !!!
Me too
One month after this interview they released Nevermind. I bet at this point they already recorded the album. And could never expect what was waiting for them.
drink a glass of water every time kurt says “oh i’m supposed to be hurt”. you will be hydrated
I like the ambience background sound, makes you feel like you were there
For all his goofiness, Krist is a super-intelligent dude.
They’re so chaotic😹
I LOVE ITTTTTTTT
Some _really_ rare laughs from Kurt in this video.
Kurts Goofy side is often overlooked
"What if Donald Trump wrote good songs? You wouldn't listen to em? You know, I think I'd listen to em." - Krist Novoselic 10:15
Kurt: Hahahahaha
Back then even IRON MIKE was cool with Trump
And look at the faces of Grohl and Cobain when he said that. They didn't agree did they?
Its like finding out one of the Beatles liked Hitler.
2:43 "Oh I'm supposed to be hurt" I'm dying this man is too funny
Kurt was so goofy in this interview I loved it tbh 😭💅🏽
marijuana has done more for my memory than i can remember- Krist Novasellic
Aaaahhh... that time you could smoke in a tent and you didn’t have to wear a face mask.
@Jennifer Lwas no
Just dont wear a mask :P Its bullshit
Go figure.... dave is rolling Drum Tobacco.
@@daBEAGLE1017 you can still do that cant you?
@@blankpool what? Roll a cigarette by hand? Of course, its the only cigarettes i smoke.
Kurt looks like the way i feel when my alarm goes off at 5am on Monday morning
Sarcastically, "It will be a household word (Nirvana) any day now". How right you were, Kurt.
1:04 "EVERYONE KNOWS PUNK ITS JUST MONEY" hahaha Kurt and Krist were like WTF are you talkin....
Right before fame and glory. Kurt and Krist were really close.. That's really noticeable. Although Dave's is very well adjustable to them and fits really well, I can see here that Kurt and Krist were buddies, good real friends. Kurt was really smiling here, they were having a great time no doubt.
I can’t fucking believe it’s neatly been 30 years since this interview was taken. No words describe how happy and proud I am of Dave. Just thriving with the foo fighters!
Who?
Nick Nicometi dave is the one with the jacket
Nick Nicometi wait never mind they're all wearing jackets
Nick Nicometi he's the one with the long hair on the left
I like krist’s long hair
yeah it suited him better
Lautaro Lencina aww, that’s a little sad for Krist. You shouldn’t say this joke because it can come off offensive
Lautaro Lencina yeah tru
Looks like jades boyfriend in victorious
may vana omg I searched it and he actually does! 😂
One of the best interviews ever, the witty sarcasm gets overlooked a lot but this is one of many fine examples of the band having fun
Krist is such an agent of chaos and I love it.
OMG , Krist's sock puppet has me DYING! LMAO
Amazing! thank you from Lima PEru
This is one of the most uncomfortably awesome interview I have ever witness... Kinda (almost) felt sorry for the interviewer, but maybe they should have given him a desk job instead of going out to do battle in the field..... lol RIP Sir Curt! Best underground band ever.....
