"Endless nameless" is song that was made when band tried to play lithium but couldnt figure it out so kurt got frustrated and they just broke into this song, they used this song at the end of concerts to break instruments, and on the cd of nevermind after something in the way ends theres silence for about 10 minutes and then endless nameless starts playing as a hidden track The song "Polly" was written by Kurt after reading a newspaper article about a crime that occurred in 1987 about a 14 year old girl who was kidnapped as she was leaving a concert. Her kidnapper took Polly and brought her back to his place where he s**ually assaulted and tortured her. The story actually starts back in July of 1960 when a man named Gerald Friend (who is the kidnapper of polly) abducted a girl and her brother who were hitchhiking in Sumner, Washington. I loved your reaction and id like to recomend albums "ten" by pearl jam, "dirt" by alice in chains and "doolittle" by pixies, but also more of nirvana

Yeah, it's like an anger jam - not really a "song" - a hidden track put on the end of the CD 10 mins after Something In The Way to scare the crap out of you when you thought the CD was done. Doesn't really work as effectively on a track list when people think it's a genuine "song". Loved your review :)
Polly is a dark song. It's about a real-life kidnapping of a girl in Tacoma, Washington. She was leaving a concert and this guy named Gerald Friend kidnapped, raped and tortured her. Kurt wrote it from the perspective of the kidnapper so it would be so uncomfortable for the listener and you'd never forget the story. It's an anti-rape song. Butch Vig, who produced the album, called it a haunting track. I'd agree with that. Keep rocking on your reactions. So genuine and fun seeing you discover new music. Also, Lounge Act is my favorite. Glad you loved it, too!
@@mkmetri More rock reactions would be cool in the near future. To step outta your comfort zone and listen to new music to you, I think it would be great
'Breed' will never fail to inject adrenaline directly into my veins. Nirvana was my adolescence. The voice of Gen X without question. Spitting in the face of the world, the unreasonable ones that insist on changing the world rather than changing to fit it. The music works especially well in a mosh pit. Except for Something In The Way... that song is only for listening to under a bridge, nodding out from heroin. Endless, Nameless was a hidden track... which worked way better when the music was on cassette and you had to just let it keep playing long past the last song to discover it. Unlabelled, unlisted madness trailing on the end of the tape.
“Something in the way” was featured in the soundtrack of the last Batman that came out with Robert Pattinson maybe that’s why it sounds familiar (if you watched it)
You can tell how influential Nirvana has been for rappers through the years. They were the kings of catchiness. A beautiful blend of pop melodies with raw punk energy. The lyrics means nothing but at the same time it can mean whatever you want based on your experience. Cobain was a genius and it’s really cool to see people discover it and feel it to this day. I think the moment an artist makes you want or at least think of trying to do it yourself is an absolute win, and a Nirvana song is one of the almost everyone’s first song to learn on guitar. Legendary band
i just found you from the melanie vid, im so glad i can jam out with you for basically every song, ur vibe is immaculate (its also so crazy that people are hearing this album for the first time, ive been LIVING OFF OF IT🙌🙌)
Endless nameless was actually a secret song when kurt cobain got mad when messing up recording lithium multiple times So they just started improvising and playing random things even though they didn’t care about it sounding good.

Fun facts about Kurt: 1: His sister came out as a lesbian and he was totally fine with it, but he was afraid people would bully her. 2: Kurt said he wished he was gay because he wanted to annoy homophones. (Idk if it's true, but some people say he thought he was bisexual) 3: he was a feminist and didn't like men "touching" women during nirvana concerts and once a woman got r@p3d during his performance and it made kurt stop singing, Krist and Dave stopped playing and pointed at the guy while laughing to him meanwhile kurt said "look at him!" While laughing at the guy. 4: Kurt didn't like "smells like teen spirit" and didn't understand why it was so popular. He's favorite song of his own was "Drain you" (IM SORRY MY ENGLISH AIN'T THE BEST🙏🏻😭)
I don't think he would like In utero, he seems to enjoy the songs with groove, so maybe bleech or incesticide. Dive, Blew, Love buzz etc have a good groove.

to explain a lil about the last song endless, nameless it was the secret track on the record (it would play after a while after something in the way) and it was them raging when they were trying to play Lithium

In Bloom plays with a lot of Jazz fundamentals, including syncopation and play with Bass and Drums. Kurt adds that "Dark Pop" feel with the vocal and guitar, and broken solo (gotta love that hang time in the middle of the guitar solo with the brief pause). Dave Grohl actually took his drumming inspiration from some 60s and 70s African American inspired funk style drumming with a lot of big hits, and big spacing between hits, giving life to his drum kit. For Kurt, the happy pop sound becomes a dark pop sound. Krist on Bass keeps a Jazz-like vibe keeping it clean and keeping steady rhythm but always echoing the guitar riffs in parallel. Dave's LESS IS MORE style allows for hang time, like the in the air of a buzzer beater 3 point shot, before the symbol crash.
Love that you're discovering new music bro, especially rock/grunge. Would love to see a Black Sabbath album reaction - there are a lot to choose from but Paranoid is probably the best to start with. Great video keep it up!
2 things Kurt Cobain was famous for was his crazy screaming and his crazy guitar solos, that last song is classified as noise rock and his guitar at the end he was pointing his guitar at the speakers and playing around with the feedback, those are the squeaking noises, some people think its interesting. The last song was kind of a secret bonus track.

Endless Nameless is really all the instruments just playing whatever they feel like, and in the middle of recording Kurt smashed his guitar on the floor, which is why there are a lot of distorted noises. This is the hidden song on the album, it was written improvised when Kurt was angry about problems recording Lithium. Too bad you didn't like it :( obs: You should do a react to this song played live lol (i recommend live in paramout)
Your reaction to drain you made my day seriously. How you got so into it after the breakdown made me happy man, truly one of their best songs. Keep on exploring music!
I love how he picked up on each different groove of the songs and the vibe he got the same feeling we all did when we heard this album which is why it was so successful a real game changer this album was for me and everyone I am sure.
they lean into their punk influences heavily sometimes, where the arrangement is intentionally aggressive, grating and "i just don't give a fuck" kinda vibes like a "fuck u" to the listener lol
I feel like lyrics really depend on what they mean to you, which makes you feel a deeper connection to the song. It's one of my favorite parts of songs, finding meaning in lyrics that would otherwise be meaningless (Unless it's really in your face on what their trying to convey, but Kurt really didn't focus on lyrics at all; saying he would sometimes write lyrics quickly right before they recorded the songs. They really loved and focused on the music and how it sounded, I think that is one of my favorite things about the band. Kurt also didn't like people reading too deep into his lyrics trying to find a meaning when there wasn't one, so I always love finding my own meaning in the music)
The last song, "Endless, Nameless" sounds like that because it was recorded after a failed attempt at "Lithium". Kurt got mad, smashed his guitar and screamed his frustration into this. On old vinyls, this song played 14 minutes after the last one, sorta like a "Secret song". And to answer your questions. Yes, we do love this song because it's as raw as it can get. Kurt screaming while playing a broken guitar. It's art.
Polly is about a time where a 14 year old was hitchhiking after a concert and the man who picked her up ráped her and in the song he talked about a blow torch, rope, cutting her, etc. and also Kirk is the perspective of the rápest in the song
please do Disintegration By the cure. but its one of them albums that hits hardest in the right place and the right time (like if you're going through a rough patch, or on an over an hour long car ride)
ey for endless nameless. that kinda rock and a lot of the "noise" is really enjoyed for more vibe than an actual beat. like if im having a real angry day and wanna tear some stuff apart i can have that as my background music. more like a really great mood setter which i think a lot of nirvana songs can do really well
Somebody might have already commented on it, but the last song was a hidden "song" that would play unlisted on CD if you let it play for several minutes after Something in the Way. It's just something they recorded ex tempore in a storm of frustration while trying to record other songs. Its just a blast of anger. Not really a "song".
You gotta do In Utero, their last album. Its sound style is a lot more grungy and raw. I know what you said about the e screaming.. but in utero is amazing, trust me you’ll love it 😭
A couple of things: -Endless, Nameless was originally an unlisted hidden song on some CD versions of Nevermind that was on the same track as something in the way, about 11 minutes after the song. It was a noise jam that the band played around with and recorded out of frustration because Dave Grohl kept speeding up the drumming on Lithium. You can actually hear Kurt smash his guitar in the studio and after this, it and Territorial Pissings became staples of the end of their shows when the band would trash the guitar, drums, and amps. It was included to take up extra space on CD’s and to prank people that just let their CD’s play absentmindedly without turning them off. -The drummer and backing vocalist from late 1990 to the end of the band was Dave Grohl. He’s the guitar player and lead singer of the Foo Fighters. He plays on every song on Nevermind except Polly which was actually recorded at a different session a year earlier. -The significance of this album is that it basically “canceled” a lot of bad music. In the 80’s, the radio and MTV were basically loaded with commercial pop music and bad “hair metal”. There was a lot of music like punk, hardcore, post-punk, and a lot of more melodic noise and pop music (what would be called “indie” today) that for commercial and political reasons was seen as scary and kept off the big radio stations and major labels. Nevermind came out when Soundgarden, Sonic Youth, and The Pixies squeaked through to the mainstream and over a period of five months knocked Michael Jackson off of number one in the charts and sent most of the hair metal bands back to county fairs and unemployment lines. Now you hear The Ramones and Circle Jerks in TV commercials.
Hiii, as someone that really likes Nirvana, I suggest that you react to their album “Bleach” (my second favorite album by them) and you should totally react to their interviews. I think it would be fun to watch someone like you react to other bands aswell, such as Guns N Roses, Ac/Dc, Led Zeppelin, and many others. You should also listen to “Hole” Hole is the band that his Wife is in, she’s the main singer and she has a couple good songs (my opinion)!
Lounge Act is also my fav. song. It's got bars. Good flow. Jazz Roots, and After you hear "You see" dave hits the DUM da-da DUM and Dave makes space for the Snare drum to hit a split second before the symbol crash. Not many drummers have the patience to let the beat hang, and then do a quick 64th note then symbol crash and then back to 8th notes. It's like Dave has hang time, sleeps, then EXPLODES into the next drumming idea. Listen to the space he makes when nothing happens, then how he uses that space to emphasize the energy he makes.
Rock is about whatever you want. Like any music I guess. But the more you listen the more you like it haha also Endless Nameless it’s a jam that happened in a spontaneous moment outta rage in the studio, not an actual song, but the just got loose and went with the flow and decided to let this angry crazy piece of sound hidden as a secret part of the album after 10 minutes to prank you. The first time I listened to this album, it was at night and I was falling asleep with a good feeling after it al ended because it all was too good… then that song started playing and scared the s outta me haha

This is one of my fav rock album ever made. I can’t wait to hear how you like it
bro this brought light to my soul
brother if you want more bwnds in the channel try my chemical romance (the black parade album)
as for rhe ladies, I'll suggest kali uchis again❤
i’d love to see him react to mcr too! especially since it’s such a different sound than what he’s been listening to
you should definitely react to pierce the veil soon !!!
I’m so excited cause eventually you’ll react to their live performances and I promise you that the lives surpass the official recorded versions
You should watch Melanie's movie k-12
Try to listen to metal
Seeing people react too Nirvana gives me joy
you’re introducing me to music i never would have even touched, thank you!!
It's art.
reaction to lounge act was so valid 🙏🙏
I love people loving new music. Kudos bro for even listening.
the reaction to endless nameless killed me, personally for a song that was made on the spot out of pure rage its a banger
This reaction was literally me 2 months ago. Coming from rap and blues taste this album was a perfect introduction to alt rock and grunge.
growing up always knowing this makes me sad knowing I’ll never have this experience of hearing nirvana for the first time
insane to see people that havent heard this album, bros been missing out lmfao. loved this video gng
I love how u didn’t love drain you at first but by the end u seemed to. Great song
Polly is about a time where a 14 year old was hitchhiking after a concert and the man who picked her up ráped her and in the song he talked about a blow torch, rope, cutting her, etc. and also Kirk is the perspective of the rápest in the song
polly was a anti rape song so thats why its slower, its meant to be more serious
this was deadass me discovering grunge in grade 8
Seeing a guy be this vibin while listening to Polly... When bro actually hears the story and listens to the lyrics, made me cry man.
please do Disintegration By the cure. but its one of them albums that hits hardest in the right place and the right time (like if you're going through a rough patch, or on an over an hour long car ride)
ey for endless nameless. that kinda rock and a lot of the "noise" is really enjoyed for more vibe than an actual beat. like if im having a real angry day and wanna tear some stuff apart i can have that as my background music. more like a really great mood setter which i think a lot of nirvana songs can do really well
Somebody might have already commented on it, but the last song was a hidden "song" that would play unlisted on CD if you let it play for several minutes after Something in the Way. It's just something they recorded ex tempore in a storm of frustration while trying to record other songs. Its just a blast of anger. Not really a "song".
Loved your energy in the react! Keep up with the good content.
Greetings from Brazil! =D
33:53 this songs is about his parents prioritizing themselves over him when he was a child.
You gotta do In Utero, their last album. Its sound style is a lot more grungy and raw. I know what you said about the e screaming.. but in utero is amazing, trust me you’ll love it 😭
If you liked something in the way, i REALLY RECOMMEND the live version from “MTV unplugged”.
A couple of things:
-Endless, Nameless was originally an unlisted hidden song on some CD versions of Nevermind that was on the same track as something in the way, about 11 minutes after the song.
MY EXACT REACTION TO BREED OMSSS😂 NEW SUBBB 🫶🏽
Bruh, I REALLY enjoyed your reaction to this! This is how all of us felt back in 1991 when this shit dropped.
The middle riff of endless, nameless is one of my favorites of all time.
I love your reaction videos sm!! These genuinely make me so hsppy 😭🫶
Sooo cool watching you real discover this album. I had the same reaction in 1919😅✌🏻✨✊🏻☮️
As a seasoned Nirvana fan, the last song is just a whole lot of noice put together.
