This is probably the greatest setlist they ever played. Perfect mix of songs from all albums
Without Drain You, it can't be a greatest setlist))
@@user-rr1ju1ck2u it's a shame they didn't played it, but still a solid set. I wonder why Kurt decided not to play Drain You here, since it was one of his favorite songs to perform
DamageInc 88
Maybe he didn’t play it because Courtney was at the show. I read that he wouldn’t play drain you if she was around because he wrote it about Toby vail.
Justin Hopper I didn’t know that hey.. makes sense but
@@justinhopper5941 It was Lounge Act, Nirvana played Drain You at almost every gig
This is the perfect Nirvana show. Great set, Jaguar, and Lake Placid Mustang, Kurt on form, and benefit show. Cant get any better than this. Imagine this with the same sound quality as the Paramount show. And finally the last the last time they performed Been a son, Negative Creep and Love Buzz(so sad)..
And with a splash..
And anurisum
@@iloveunspeakable7058 August 6, 93 was the last performance of Aneurysm, but no audio surfaced so far..
Wait they never played those songs after?
@@CoburnSawyer yep
Im so confused. Will I be listening to Nirvana when Im 75? Its been like 30 years now since I started. 30 fucking years, but I dont feel like Im reaching to the past. Nirvana is still relevant as ever in my increasingly aging brain.
Nirvana is always relevant, u will still be watching when u r 90 ,: 0
I have to say I did stop listening after I Got a little older and esp from 10the grade high school and had mellowed from the angst punk rock kid and started the mind expansion and exploration age, the music expanded with the ability to drive and go to shows all the time and traveling all over with tour with the face melting machine widespread l panic who are from my hometown athens ga. 20 plus years and 150 shows of following widespread panic plus more psychedelic music and hippie bands. I have now in the last year or so and finally came back full circle With going back and listening to all the music I’ve ever listen to and I’m still addicted something about this damn band. And I think it’s happened to a lot of people over the pandemic because Nirvana’s been dropping all over RUclips the last year with shows interviews it’s like being a kid again still amazed
Nirvana will always remain relevant, whether you are 35 or 75. Kurt will never go away.
Like it was yesterday
I started taking Nirvana when I was in 8th grade in 2002. Took a decade break off Nirvana because I was sick of it and I moved on to different music but now I'm back on Nirvana at age 31. Kurt was so unreal. I went from loving them too much to kind of thinking their songs were a little too simple and I needed more diverse sounds. But now I'm back and they have aged really well. In Utero especially.
Cheers mate, great stuff as always. Rip Kurt.
This was also the last time they performed Negative creep and Love buzz live.
@@Tomnedreb i ve never seen him playing the jag that long live...1h30... i can barely doing the same she is so heavy lol
@@Tomnedreb do you know when he start with the mustang ?
Been a son too right?
Apparently Love Buzz was played for the final time at the 10/25/93 Aragon Ballroom show.
The guitar tone is incredible and the bass.....
and the drums
And above all, great credits to the bootlegger who must have had some decent recorder...
@@misterasterisco5217 The sound guy was on point as well. The Cow Palace shows always sounded good to me. I went to a few in the mid 90's.
@@mbjasondify I love the name cow palace, I’m guessing American south or Texas?
@@samyandkitty8399 Cow Palace is in San Francisco, large arena on the south side.
When you love your drummer, jump on him
Best band ever... getting older myself day after day, but keep being convinced this was and remains the best... so much power, so bright, what a voice, rhythms, melodies, all perfect !
Zeppelin is the greatest but this was the last great Rock band...in my opinion
I agree since 1995 i am a big fan and i starded to sing and do noses. I invite you to see my nirvana covers and if you apreciate subscribe. Thanks for your atention and time.
Agreed - but indie band foster the people has incredible sounds, Mark plays tons of instruments, and they are one of the few bands that sounds better live
Cosmosaic no zeppelin weren’t the best, the singer was to awful to listen to, it’s been scientifically proven as well that zeppelin weren’t the best. Really only people that liked em were stoned American lads that were only casually interested in music.
E E ha ha if you’d bring funny that was funny but if your being serious you should get your cerebrum checked? Foster the people ha ha ha foster the people!!!! Made my day 😂😂😂😂🕺🕺
Not only was this an amazing concert, this was also the last time ever they've played Negative Creep.. One of my favorite Nirvana Songs, so sad.

In a way Kurt was even a genius at knowing when to retire songs. It may not be because he thought they weren’t good anymore. Maybe he thought they were too good to waste on normie newbie fans yknow? I kinda think that is the case because my theory is that Kurt was on another level, a genius fully aware of himself and his importance in music history, it’s like he was functioning on an artistic level beyond normal musicians all along from the very start, so even all his early songs are so damn good! The only song I don’t care for is Sifting, besides that everything is mad genius. So in a way retiring a song from the live sets sort of gives them a different distinction as like rare gems you have to search for in earlier bootlegs to hear again. But I wish they did songs like Paper Cuts, Downer on In Utero tour cus those songs are amazing. Downer is sooooo underrated,
Michael Azerrad’s bio _Come As You Are: the Story of Nirvana_ opens with a few paragraphs describing this specific concert. Azerrad was in the audience. Just a random inconsequential fact I thought I’d share.
@Cerulean Skies - That’s an issue with most of the bios that are out there. Azzerrad took Kurt at his word, for the most part. Charles Cross took Courtney Love at her word for the _Heavier Than Heaven_ bio, etc. So far as the description of the concert in question goes, though, Azerrad was just relaying an anecdote of his own experience at the show, and I don’t see why he’d have any reason to lie about it.
random maybe, nevertheless dope and helpful. been wanting to read it for awhile for, thank you for sharing!!
There's several guys who traveled as crew for Nirvana who wrote a lot of anecdotes that for some reason got compiled and credited to Michael Azerrad, I know for a fact it was one of them that wrote those paragraphs. In that sense, Michael Azerrad was at every Nirvana concert. The guy you see in pics if you google Michael Azerrad only came around a few times as a reporter and asked questions, one time posed with Kurt and a baby(not even Kurt's baby), but that guy was rarely actually around. Almost everything credited to Michael Azerrad about Nirvana wasn't actually written by who you see if you google Michael Azerrad, he was just some guy hired to confuse the band and deflect from who was actually writing the stories. It's funny because the singer knew that guy on google couldn't have gotten so much info, so at one point he accused an innocent person of writing as Michael Azerrad based on the fact she was there for every story told in Michael Azerrad's writings, not realizing Michael Azerrad was actually multiple people writing as one person.
@@PiedPooper-gh6cn As far as the interviews he conducted for the book are concerned, Azerrad says that the two of them mainly hung out in the kitchen area at Kurt’s house in Seattle, in the middle of the night, after Kurt would get home from rehearsals for the In Utero album. Azerrad remained on friendly terms with Cobain after the completion of the book and hung out with him and occasionally spoke with him over the phone, too, though.
He seems like a pretty legit and good person in interviews with a genuine love of Kurt, why you trying to portray him like a bad guy?
On my 15th birthday in '94, I got a lend of a bootleg cassette of this very gig from a friend. I remember it practically burnin' up in my pocket in school that morning, as I couldnt wait to rush home at luchtime to listen to it. I remember it so well! Id never heard a distorted, heavier version of Something in the Way before and that was a revelation for me. It was a few months after Kurt had passed away, and I was beyond eager to get my ears into absolutely everything the band had done. Getting cassettes like that were incredible, and its really wonderous to watch the actual show years later like this. I love getting to watch videos of gigs like this that I spent evenings with on bootleg tapes after school at the time, imagining it all play out in my mind.
Sounds about right what you said. Those things , Courtney can't make unclear. Kurt is so greatly missed . Oh I wish I had bootlegs back then. In Germany I had to wait many years to find CD-R bootlegs.
I'm still burning it up!

could have been worth mentioning that this was >> organized by Nirvana, as benefit to rape victims in former-jugoslavia states war? ? (Disposable Heroes, L7, Breeders played there too). Great release either way, uncounted thanks
It wasn't organized by Nirvana, they were court ordered to play. I think Krist picked the good cause they were ordered to donate to.
I miss those days..of all the grunge era band lead vocalists Kurt was THE most honest and non pretentious. I notice it more today in 2020 looking back amidst all the fake crap music I am surrounded with

Thank you for this! Best version of come as you are
What a live ! Incredible version of Serve The Servants, Aneurysm and CAYA ! The whole show is awesome ! And extremely high quality, my ears are still ringing ! For a 1993 show, it seems as intense as a 1991 one !
awesome footage; thank you for this!
Holly shit they played Something In The Way is so fucking heavy at this gig
Wonderful content mate, 27 years ago ....never seen before in this quality ! Looks like the bay area used to inspire Nirvana alot.

This is definitely one of the best set lists I’ve come across. The sound is perfect too everyone is equalized and so clear

I still think Nirvana is one of the best live bands ever! This bootleg proves it!
Of course they are. Their spirit & rawness along with these beautifuly written songs, oh man 🤘🤘
@Cerulean Skies I dont agree at all...even when Cobain try to "sabotage" the sound...the band still sounds fucking badass without any effort...and by this time the band equipment is top class. The crappy and cheap are used for the "destruction" at the end...usually in the last song.

just came back from the spot where kurt died. i live in seattle. it was a beautiful memorial bench with flowers. i brought a jar of pennyroyal oil with a buddha trinket in it.
I lost my mom to suicide. I didn;t expect to feel peace when I went there, but I did. He's at peace.
Much love kiddos xox
thanks for sharing
Viretta park? With the bench next to kurt's house? I go there all the time
You have to sing Seasons in the Sun or it's not a proper tribute.
I saw a guy leave weed once. Courtney saw from the cameras and came right out to get it. The jar of pennyroyal oil with a little buddha trinket in it is one of the most appropriate memorial gifts I've ever heard of though, good job. Maybe she'll accidentally drink it.
There's something different in nirvanas music the melody is really beautiful, love their music
Music requires desperation. In most new music, the desperation's gone.
Kurt is furious and points it out personally with signaling & hand gestures, directly at Krist and Dave even speaking his frustrations. His guitar gives him a time too. If you pay attention to this performance, things are not okay here, it's like Kurt on 1 team and the other guys on the other..sadly.
Which is weird because all the fuckups I hear are coming from Kurt.
Yeah, I was there. He was very off. He was only 16 and I still noticed and wondered if he was ok.
I love watching live shows gives me goosebumps
Wow.. really really great set list
Amazing show
This show was bad ass! This was a fun night.
he died almost exactly a year later
Yes sure..hey i invite you to see my nirvana covers and if you apreciate subscribe and thanks for atenttion and time
It was the first day of the last year of his life.
Matt H actually about the 3rd
Great. Thank you for this. The historic significance of this show is that Kurt had just bleached his hair blond again after having shorter dark hair during the Brazilian shows in January, marking the transition to his signature In Utero-era look.
And also that it's the last live performance of Love Buzz, if I remember correctly:D
Also soon stopped wearing ripped 👖 for the most part and stopped playing the jaguar. This a weird amalgamation of nevermind era style converting to in utero. Soon hed start wearing those patched jeans often and playing mustangs.
The Best of the best Nirvana . Tx Alt Copperpot5 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻

The best gig played!!!
10:06 Kurt got hit in the head with a cup/can (when he says "did")
One of the few bands that played new songs before they were ever released on an album
I wish the vocas were lower and the instruments were higher. You can really hear the power of their live sound during the instrumental sections. This show has the potential to sound incredible with the right mix.
55 years old... Saw them in Dec before he past away in Springfield MA. This set list I wish they palyed when I saw them. Perfect older/newer mix of songs. They sounded great here. Can't believe the downward spiral the next 12 months Kurt will take.
Hugs from Brasil
man this could have been that one Concert were Kurt played everything with his Legendary security Guard Skull crusher JAGUAR Guitar
it always bothered me a lot when he puts JAG down to grab some generic Strato
but oh well not complaining much cos he had the Jag on for the great majority of this Live
and now in a much more important last Note:
May your Soul live forever Cobain
Accurate. The Jaguar was Kurts guitar, all others be damned.

he probably switched to strats just for set endings, that way he wouldn't break the Jaguar. Same thing for his Mustangs

jajajaj cool ! Love Buzz el cambio de voz genial y su locura final jugando con la botella.
Great Show! Thanks for uploading it so I can see and hear it! One of their best shows! Sounds incredible!
Frances Farmer is one of my favorite songs! And Aneurysm! Brilliant songs!
Krist once said Kurt was an original Artist and that some Art is so powerful that it overwhelms you. You can’t help but be drawn into their world. Kurt was that type of Artist.
He had an original voice and his songs drew you in. You couldn’t resist falling for his art and voice. He was that powerful!
His music resonates to this day.
And there was something about the grain of his voice that everyone could relate to. Sometimes smooth, sometimes raw and grainy.
He could change his voice according to the song. And he was brilliant at singing and writing ballads! Usually singing them in a smooth voice. The screaming I’m not a fan of.
To me, it’s pointless to scream into a microphone. But he was good at that as well. I think he was copying Black Francis another great screamer.
This show along with Unplugged can serve as a Sonic Epitaph for a talent that was lost way too early.
RIP KDC
