Totally agree with you regarding the gore in the 4 remake. If they wimp out on chainsaw decapitations and the like I'm going to be upset.
I have faith that they'll introduce the meaty location-based emphasis of damage in general as well as retain Dr. Salvadore executions since it's in the hands of those who seem to have a better understanding of what fans like and deserve.
They're definitely okay with bringing us that visceral "wet and dark" violence which also fits hand in glove with the more dour atmosphere they're giving it.
They might since the later resident evil games have them removed. Japan is strict on those sort of things.

This game already looked great. RTX only adds that tiny amount of polish that, really, can only be seen when compared side by side. Nice that it's here, but not considerably different... Still cool that they added this though. :)

@@MariusBoss11458 Well first. There's no way I'm watching a 3+ hour long play to it's end. I've already played through this game enough times. So I didn't get to hear this. And secondly, yes. That is QUITE noticeable. But that's not what I would call 3D audio. That's environmental reverb. They clearly enhanced it in this update... Does it sound cool? Hell yeah. Glad they added it. Much more realistic. Thanks for pointing this out. :)
NGL the work done in Remake 2 is insane before this free update. It’s very welcome but that game and a few other show that “realistic graphics” are close to peak performance. The line between gameplay and a movie with actors is becoming very blurry.
Not like I can’t tell it’s a game, but it’s getting close but at least for me it’s already serviceable enough.
I think in the next generation of graphics cards we can have extremely close to reality. They finally got things on fire down but water pouring isn't quite there yet.

iT's ok but I couldn't care about graphics so much. It's all about the game being good. If anything we don't have a lot of good games anymore because graphics eat up most of the budget of the game. But well, re engine at least is allowing them to do whatever they want creatively.
Maybe one day it will reach FMV- level realism...

It always annoyed me that the entire Raccoon City is pretty much dead but there’s a guy that thought it was appropriate to call in to a radio show.

That..._would_ be an interesting way to craft the RE4 remake....make the whole thing a sort of extended play on the Luis House Siege sequence. Having to constantly worry about holding back a following, possibly swelling, horde....
My graphics card can't handle using many of the new visual options BUT my performance for this game feel like it's been much more consistent, especially because I was expecting the opposite which is nice
I think they should've had water bottles saying mizwater as an outbreak reference instead of having the mizoil sign. I love watching your RUclips videos at night when it's night time and my door's lock'tt. Mr. Soup is my favorite streamer.

I don't see the difference. The best way to get rid of that greenish blueish color filter In this game is to use "Colorcube edits" mod. The colors looks so fresh and deep then.
I don't see a difference, either. I'm colorblind, though. Some may call it a genetic defect, I call it a boon in that I can be happier with less.
I replayed most of Leon's, all of 3, and started on 7. I'm not noticing any difference, i probably need a side by side

look at the blurry floor reflection in the RPD without RTX and then with RTX. Way better. Overall the reflections are better
For console players the difference between PS4 & PS5 Version is definitely noticeable with Ray tracing enabled.

It's not you mate I turn on rtx on all my games and I can only see difference when standing still and really looking for it. And I have good hardware and monitor it is still a gimmick I've tried all the best examples and in motion it certainly isn't worth a performance hit it gives at least not yet.

I just wondered why the torching of the zombies was only ever a thing in RE1 Remake. I guess maybe that could be frustrating to do over and over, but maybe it would be more of a challenge for some players. As maybe part of one of the difficulties. Zombies wouldn't just die instantly and if you forget, they can easily come back even stronger than the first time.
It's not very fun, I've quite literally only burned up one zombie in REmaster.
Remake 2 was a very basic game gameplay-wise.
If I were to explain why it’s probably because the zombies are a graphical marvel! They look cool but inside them is also the model of “damaged zombie” so you couldn’t have that many zombies in a single room otherwise the performance would lower.
Adding in Crimson Heads would probably have been too much for the devs, specifically considering they didn’t expect the sales they got
@@josetomascamposrobledano4618 To be fair, pretty much every RE game is very basic gameplay-wise. Even if it's a feature unique to a particular game, like burning zombies in REmake or scanning in Revelations, its still basic stuff overall.
It was a different strain (Epsilon) of the T-Virus that allowed for the V-ACT process to take place. That's why you had Crimson Heads in RE1 Remake, but not during the Raccoon City Outbreak.
@@RaijinsTower Don’t try to make sense with weird Cannon. RE story is all over the place. Crimson Heads are the transition to lickers, concept art of Remake 2 wanted us to fight a new zombie that was in-between the Crimson Head into Licker stage.
Other games have shown Crimson Heads in Raccoon City.
In short, either you read a dumb fan-theory or an outdated comic, etc. Not that you should be blamed since this series is not a stranger to rewrites (like Wesker abducting Sherry, which never happened in cannon but was planned).
Just don’t spread misinformation now that you know this.

Saw these updates on my PC, and later they also came up on my Xbox one X. Does anyone know if the Xbox one versions got any more enhancements? The updates were several GB.

What is the purpose of doing a graphics show case and capping the video at 1080p? 1440p and 4k would help a lot to be able to really see the detail and help with the compression
the zombie in the cutscene (the store) where Claire and Leon meet has 1 hp. Poor zombie.
The human eye can see passed 60 fps. that was debunked multiple times and there have been tests where the human eye was able to see over 1000 fps

only complaint I have about RE3 remake is the nemesis did not chase you as much or as random as the original, otherwise I enjoyed the hell out of it with my time with the game, though I suppose since I've only ever regretted buying one game ever (which I immediately returned and traded in for one of my all time favorite games) guess that doesn't mean much.

In the re4 remake I want to see more high damage more realistic unarmed combat (if Leon still gets the whole 'elite cool spy' treatment) like Tomi nages and ippon sieo nages(judo throws) or some wrestling takedowns.roundhouses look cool but let's be fair...noone is gonna try that irl...if Leon could have an counter or contextual unarmed combat system it should be more high risk but deadly throws, takedowns and knife executions...

I avoided playing re2r until after I had finished 3 remake from how it was reviewed to me. But I'm glad I watched you play some. It made me go back and play it and it was so enjoyable. Shame about the lack of effort on b scenario but it was an amazing experience

2:18:30 Nah, its really not bawk. What are you talking about? My first playthrough of 8 took a lot longer than REmake2; same as my friends (and i think yours did as well if i remember correctly). side content is comparable to RE:Verse. If we take into account the DLC, Village takes the cake home.

I personally find it kind of ridiculous that in the remake for 2 it takes 7 headshots to drop a zombie, saying that it takes the same amount of shots in RE1make is not a very intelligent defense considering Chris pops their heads off in 1 shot - in the first games and the remake the character clearly isn't hitting their head in every shot, they aim center mass. You speedrun these games Bawk, it's not something that should need to be pointed out lol
Plus they made Leon a pussy in Welcome to Racoon City which baffles me!

It's called RAY TRACING not nVIDIA's so called marketing term RTX. Imagination Technologies (PowerVR) was actually the first to show off there Ray Tracing in 2015-2016. Also, nVIDIA licensed there RT tech. Check our Imagination Technologies new A and CX GPU series.

It's more complicated than that. The brain registers flickering at up to 90 fps according to some sources, so fps higher than 60 is perceived as smoother even though the eye as such doesn't see it. Not really sure why 144+ Hz monitors are a thing if that is the case though.

The human eye can't see past 60HZ but the brain can perceive higher than that. Ton's of studies showing 120+ increasing people's ability to react to situations such as seeing an enemy and shooting and improves accuracy.
