This is a great little video, thanks mate. You captured the essence of the festival perfectly. Delighted you got a clip of the beatboxing too, I must have been right behind you, wandered by and they were incredible! Roll on June!
No way, should have said hi, he he he. Even though its more corporate etc, it's still an amazing festival and I absolutely love it. Thanks for your comments.
Great video, peace and love brother
Thank you for commenting. Much respect.
Wow..fab video.....hope you do one for 2023
I'm gutted I'm not going this year. Hope to back in 2024. Thanks for commenting. I had a great time.
Thanks for uploading this !
Cheers man.
I really loved your video, it felt like I was there!
Thank you so much. It's a great festival and after going to every one since 1995 I thought it about time I made a little video. I'm happy you liked it.
Thanks for sharing mate.
Thank you.
lovely!!
Thank you.
Awesome
Thanks Mike.
good job you managed to get the acoustic tent in, not many bother well done 👍🏼
Thank you. I did try to get to most places. It's good to have a mooch.
That was cool buddy, well edited. I wasn't there in 2022 but was in 2016, 2017 and 2019 (and will be going in 2023) but the one thing I note from all the 2022 vlogs is that it appeared so rammed in comparison to the previous years. Did you go in the years I mentioned, if so what did you think vs previous years? I heard they took an option to let in about another 20,000 people for the first time. Don't know whether that's true?!? Cheers
Cheers man. I've been to every one since 1995 apart from 2016. I think about the year 2000 there were so many fence jumpers and the fence by the stone circle was completely destroyed that it was horrible in some ways. It was a dark time with lots of gangs robbing tents and some deaths around that time with reports of security being vicious. The one way system came in at Shangri la some years ago and i think it's been incredibly packed for about a decade. I wouldn't say anymore rammed in 2022 than the years you mention . It's always going to be rammed now. Although more commercialised now in terms of food stalls and shops being less unique it's still a wonderful festival in an amazing setting and I still feel a sense of freedom and anarchy but it's much more safe now than at the turn of the century. I will continue to go and volunteer with my pals as long as my legs can carry me. Thanks for your comments.
@@tubbatravels Hey, thanks so much for the reply to my comment, I didn’t see it until today. Looking forward to the event this year, tickets are crazy difficult to get now but we somehow got some for 2023. Great to hear you continue to volunteer, let’s hope this year is another one to remember. I’m sure it will be 😁
Hey man. In my opinion it felt busier in 2022 to the previous years I'd been. I think they put some big acts on unusually small stages, which didn't help things. But I also heard they let 20,000 more people in... The worst bits were when you were leaving big stage areas. Other than that it was fine and not *overly* busy.
It was rammed, and they also timed the acts badly to everyone headed out from the other stage and pyramid at the same time towards Block9 and Arcadia! There used to be more space further back to get out - if u wanted it, but if you are at a set early be prepared to be hemmed in shoulder to shoulder with everyone.
The traffic at night in some areas verged on dangerous with crowds shouting at times like at a football game.I hope 2023 was better, looking to go again in 2024. But will be forever busy I think now…
I call this the hippy field??? There all hippy fields, it's a hippy festival CND man❤
Ha ha indeed it is. Peace man.
Leftist greenist poltical hippy thing that is making a lotta money ....
I volunteer for a free ticket and take my own food so they don't make a lot of money from me. The times are a changing tho you make a fair point.
