Hi Niall, Hi Lisa, apologies, I've only just got round to watching. Wow, what a fabulous place Iceland is, it's just beauty every which way you look, and you got so lucky with the weather. I loved watching that. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us as always, All the best, Dave.

Thanks Dave. I loved planning the trip and then going on the trip. It's a unique place. My friend went in the winter and it's a big challenge in the snow, a proper expedition. We had it easy with all the sun. Thanks again.

Hi Niall and Lisa, what an amazing place Iceland is, one of the old boys I worked with in my first job in the mid 70’s was placed there during the war and told me stories about the country and they amazed me at the age of 14/15 and it is one place I have wanted to visit ever since then. Your video captured what Iceland means to me, land of fire and ice, and the smell of rotten eggs 😂😂. Thanks for showing us your journey it was a great watch. Hope you are both keeping well, cheers Glyn.

Hi Glyn, funny that you should say ,land of fire and ice, as those are some of the words I've used for the intro to the next Iceland video where we hike in-between volcanoes. The place is so expensive that we tried to find a way to be able to afford the trip and camping seemed to be the way but also meant we spent more time close up to nature . In 10 days there we spent 3 nights in a hotel, the cheapest one in Reykjavik, and the rest of the time in our tent. Have a good weekend. I'm going to see stiff little fingers at the roundhouse later so I'm getting ready to get the train to that London. Hope you have a good weekend Glyn. Hello to your wife.

Hi Niall, enjoy the concert mate, I think I saw SLF in the late 70’s at Reading festival or somewhere, very energetic. Cheers Glyn.

We’ve been to a few of these places, and did the Bruafoss walk in any icy March 2024 - but you’ve given me some great ideas for my next visit!❤

Yeah one night on the beach in New Quay West Wales.
Waterfall by the sea, fire on the beach, ran in sea for about 5 seconds😁
I'll sort it out in week and put it up Friday.👍

      Just watched all your video.
      Wonderful! 👏👏
      What an amazing place.
Beautiful blue sky, cool old remains of houses, friendly rabbits.😁
Thermal water, that must be so cool having a warm dip outside. Loved the drone footage over stunning river.
That waterfall though was something else, you got so close to it, even had a rainbow.
      Beautiful place.
      Thanks for sharing.
      Really enjoyed it.👍

@@JamieHarding5 thanks Jamie. Iceland has been a place I've wanted to visit for a long time but was put off by how expensive it was. Camping seemed to be the cheapest and best way to see the nature.

Nice one. Thanks for sharing both of you. Never would have thought of Iceland as having so much beauty. I think its a great shame your videos don't get a wider audience or more hits. There is so much garbage on you tube getting millions of views that its hard to make sense of RUclipss algorithms . I was recommended a song from my youth recently , Granny Takes a Trip. How did they figure I would like that. All in the wording I guess. If that museum you visited was called the Laxative museum , imagine how many more views it would get ! As for the wine ....strange . Snoop Dog Cali Red ??? Hope the shop rapped it for you.
All the best and keep traveling and posting

Ha ha hilarious. I read this, this morning and it made me laugh, thank you. Algorithms? I don't get it. Definitely tho sex sells, violence, people like a horror story, death and deserted buildings. There is a lot of good stuff tho, I've even watched a few deserted buildings videos myself.
I hope life is good in Thailand. Thanks for commenting, nice one.

What a cool place Iceland is. Only stopped at the airport but need to see it all. Gorgeous. What drone are you flying? DJI mini 3? The tracking is really good. I've got the mini 2 but the tracking is non existent. You got some good clips of you and Lisa hiking together. Btw, first time i think I've seen her hair down! Lmao
Nice humour too..ok little geyser..too funny!

    • @tubbatravels

Cheers Iain. I got a mini pro 3. It has obstcal avoidance in front, back and underneath but not at the sides. The pro 4 does and I want one as I'm not a great pilot. I sideways crashed it into a tower on the isle of wight last week but it survived, needed spare blades which I had but it's quite sturdy, it took a tumble.
Yes the tracking is great, it will avoid obstacles as well, I've seen people walking through trees and it serves the low branches. Great bit of kit.
Yeah, Lisa mostly ties it up, she must have wanted the wind in her hair.
Iceland is great, the people are really friendly. It's expensive so camping made it affordable.

Very observant, my hair pin did not really fit under my hat, so down it was, which made me very hot, boiling hot as I've got a very thick head of hair 😂
