I think this is indeed the worst. I was competing once and the ref i had was absolute garbage. I was on the ground then hear a thump and look to my left and saw another duo rolling right beside me. Took the ref a good 15 seconds to stop us and remove the other two. Then saw another match with the same ref, half way through he just walks off. People on the scoring table were yelling to tell them to stop a good 30 seconds after he walked off to get some wipes for the mat. Absolute fucking donkey.

My 60 year old father does jiu jitsu because he doesn't want to get clocked upside the dome. I can also guarantee that these jiu jitsu guys would beat a striker in a street match 9/10 times. If they grab you its over. If striker knocks them out before they can grab striker, well we know who wins. My money is on the fact its easier to grab somebody than it is to knock them out.

@@boliussa none of his sweeps were sweeps they were all basically low leg kicks, for a sweep you need to hook the ankle with your foot and pull OR pull weight off balance and remove the base with a swift drag to the lower leg while pushing the opponent off balance. All the points Red got were wrong since he didn't initiative the takedown, Black was pulling guard just falling on his butt to scoot and play open guard from the ground. The timestamp you cited is a stupid moment on Black because he didn't fall correctly and basically slammed himself on the ground but the kick Red did really wouldn't have an impact on him falling since each of those kicks were as Black as already going down pulling guard. Red was playing dirty and Black was silly for dropping his head on the mat like that.

Don’t think it was the middle of a triangle. Seemed more like very early stage triangle and when ref called stop he stopped defending it that’s why it got locked up.

If you're going to ref or judge do your job or get the f out of our sport, it's not that hard. My only critique to the true winner would be to not put up with that after the second time. People think just because you have the space and mats you can put on a tournament, but you need good refs to keep everyone safe. I don't necessarily blame this ref, I blame whoever thought she was good enough to be a ref for this in the first place. The organizers were obviously not very good.

@@boliussa none of his sweeps were sweeps they were all basically low leg kicks, for a sweep you need to hook the ankle with your foot and pull OR pull weight off balance and remove the base with a swift drag to the lower leg while pushing the opponent off balance. All the points Red got were wrong since he didn't initiative the takedown, Black was pulling guard just falling on his butt to scoot and play open guard from the ground. The timestamp you cited is a stupid moment on Black because he didn't fall correctly and basically slammed himself on the ground but the kick Red did really wouldn't have an impact on him falling since each of those kicks were as Black as already going down pulling guard. Red was playing dirty and Black was silly for dropping his head on the mat like that.
