Linker and missing references are easy. Those tend to pile up very quickly in new dev environments and equally tend to go away quickly with a few minor changes to obvious things. The major issues that only show up in runtime like textures not loading, memory access errors, missing cutscenes, et al take the most time since it's not always obvious what's causing the problem.
it still blows my mind that you're the guy who coded so much of the OG XBOX homebrew I was loving in the early 00's. What a cool project this was, I thought I knew most of the console history from the 90s but I don't remember Nuon at all, just vague recollections of Project X in a few magazines, super interesting!
Oh man, when I sent over the footage I had no idea this is what it was going to be for! This is incredible. The NUON version of Freefall was a neat concept, but the low framerate, short draw distance and other glitches combined with the crazy difficulty made it difficult to enjoy, especially on those cramped NUON controllers. The Xbox version (and subsequently the updated Steam version) looks great! Framerate is so much smoother, draw distance is completely fixed, and it looks like lots of tweaks were made to the combat. I will definitely be supporting this on Steam (honestly, I had no idea until now it was even released there) and will also be checking out the Xbox version. Thanks for taking the time to port this!
