I have the wifi version with 8GB and the CPU performance is identical to that of the S9FE+. Screen quality is the same but only 60hz instead of 90, but it has video out and UBS 3. Watching and writing from it now...
@aiozo Specially multitasking. When taking notes while watching a youtube video and browser opened, lag is very noticeable. But if you want to just take notes, no problem. Didn't try gaming.

Best budget tab imo. But Samsung needs to make an FE ultra for those of us who don't need the all powerful processor or oled display but needs the bigger size display for drawing.
Im getting one shipped from dubai but unfortunately i could only find the 4g ram version i couldn't find any offers for 6 or 8g even soo i feel its worth it my use is usually light and i have seen many good reviews. I'll update you on my experience in like 10 days

I haven't had a chance to get my hands on it just yet, but I was planning on covering it. Despite now owning the tablet, it could work well with what you intend to use it for; it certainly is a powerful device for a midrange, given the chipset.
I saw the 64/4 for 198 at a local store. I usually never multitask, and when I do, it is only youtube and samsung notes side by side. I have a s6 lite 2020, would it be good for it. I don't stream media or anything on it. Mostly for notes, drawing, and reading pdf. I have the s22u for streaming and playing (I'm much of a mobile game player)

(I am moving from S6 lite 2022 wifi model just to have a bigger screen size and DeX on external screen Is 5G model of Tab S7 FE that much bad even with 6GB ram than SE7 FE wifi model? Will S7FE 5G model with 6GB ram give me less performance than S6 Lite 2022 model???
it wil receive Android 14 and that's it... Updates are nice for new features, but are not important for app compatibility and security is a non issue on mobile devices as long as you are slightly tech saavy
I just receieved the Tab S9 FE and it shocked me and i say this coming from a writers perspective. It wa a complete lagging nightmare. If you write and type fast and you are 3 sentences ahead already even with your well above average ability to type much faster than the average person, the Tab S9 FE is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU! It lagged so bad on me my first time and writing experience that i already have it boxed back up ready to send back to Samsung. The Tab S6 Lite 2022 may only be 60hrtz refresh rate but the snapdragon 720 doesnt lag and it can handle my speed in which I must get my thoughts and or words from my mind to print beyond quickly as can be. Its a great tablet but the Exynos 1380 samsung opted to use cant handle a writers speed and nor can i handle its complete utter stopping to think and take 15 seconds to catch itself up to me there is no way I could write that way. Now if you are using it to cosume media then it is probably great. Just dont throw anything heavy or intense towards it. I recommend the Tab s6 lite 2022!
That's interesting; I'm assuming that fact that we all use our tablets in different ways is the reason some of us didn't experience any major lags. I certainly don't recommend heavy work on it, but did not experience as much of a lag as you did - I will do additional heavy testing on my to see.

Avoid from 4gb ram 4g/5g versions. These are very laggy. Go for wifi 6gb+ versions or s9fe

Go for the Tab S8. It will last a while, it is a very powerful flaship, and will be supported for a while.
I have tab s7fe 4/64 and the most laggy gadget i ever had! Not even par with my xiaomi mipad 4 plus 4/64 which is a 2017 tablet. I regret buying this!
