So it’s been a month and a half since I first got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Samsung’s latest and greatest version of their mega sized tablet. In this video, I want to share with you some of the new experiences I’ve had with my Tab S9 Ultra from an average day to day user’s perspective,, show you how it stacks up against the smaller Tab S9+ and Tab S9, and lastly share some insight on whether or not the Ultra is worthy for you to consider. Let me say I am in the ecosystem iPhone 14 pro max, iPad Pro m2, Apple Watch Ultra, and MacBook Pro M2 Pro. That said I find that Apple promises a lot and delivers very little. I am seriously considering moving to a Garmin watch and the Samsung tablet. And when the time comes for a phone upgrade moving to Samsung. With Steve Jobs passing I feel Apple has lost their way and not sure I want to continue to support them while they try to figure it out. Overall I am finding Apple products just disappointing.
I got the opportunity to experience a Samsung s8 ultra for a few days. I was blown away but being deep into the iPad Pro. I went to buy one, but experiencing and playing with the demo model in store, I didn’t get even close to the same experience I had with the Samsung. Long story short, came back home and ordered the S9 ultra. Just the display itself makes it a amazing.

I am watching this from my Tab s9+. It fits in my handbags and that is really what I like. I am in love with it. Yes I would have loved the ultra but I like the extra portability the + offers. I get anyone who goes ultra, totally get it, and I say go for it if that is where your heart is. But my fave laptop ever was only about 13 in and I really missed it, but this is even better. the keyboard with the S pen cover, a mouse, and I worked on this the whole time I travelled lately. Updated my website, billing etc... didnt miss a beat.
Man i DEFINITELY want a s9 ultra accessories video!! If you can find any good clear cases as bonus content that would be FANTASTIC!

I just had the option to get a tablet for work and I chose this one. I received it today. I am absolutely stunned by its capabilities. I think I'll also purchase the keyboard, since it seems to boost productivity quite a lot, and that's the purpose of the tablet.

Bought the S9plus about 2 weeks ago (I came from the S7+) and I simply think it's the best solution, for me.
"It's still a tablet" in the size, with the same characteristics of the top of line model, and it's perfect for my use (Lightroom, video editing, streaming contents).
The Ultra one is definitely too big, but it's certainly fascinating!
I have the regular Tab s9, the size is perfect for my needs and damn, that screen is nice

I haven't used the S9 Ultra, but I've had an S8 Ultra for about 1.5 years now. It basically is my laptop, so the price is easily justified. If you're doing something intense, like video/audio editing, it might not be for you, but if you're using your laptop for normal stuff, like doc editing and web surfing, you can easily toss your laptop for this. My only complaint is that Android doesn't offer palm rejection for the trackpad, but I typically just leave it turned off and use the pen instead.
FYI you can also place the whole tablet on a white board just randomly figured it would stay on there since it's magnets are so strong

I had the S8 Ultra for a year but felt it was just too big. Now that the S9 has an AMOLED screen, I decided to buy one and compare them. I sold the S8 Ultra and now use the S9 for media consumption and a Surface Pro 9 for productivity.

How long do surface pro battery last for just playing video. To productivity, to editing from phtoshop

Performance and battery life are so good. I get so much screen on time. Somewhere say a Surface fails. It’s the best media consumption device in my opinion.

I just want to say, thank you for having not amazing handwriting, and just relatable realistic handwriting. I always feel so bad when I look at my handwriting in comparison to most RUclips reviewers for tablets.
I have amazing handwriting, and doing any writing on a tablet it almost falls apart due to the mild angle drift that happens on a tablet. As long as you can read it, you can work on improving it over time. Don't beat yourself up to much about it.

I traded in my S7 plus for the 16 gig S nine ultra. I enjoyed my old tablet and I was a little nervous about the size of the new one, but oh man. I love this tablet. I use it so much more. I got the Samsung keyboard case even though it's absurdly priced. But I love the back lit keys.
I have both the 10 and 12 and can produce on both. All you need is the right apps. The 10 inch for tight up close work and the 12 for large scale. 1 have 2 laptops if I want to go larger 360.

I use all that real estate to be able to keep a Word doc open to reference as a guide to a PowerPoint I am building with a slither of my biz email in view too. I dont game etc but the productivity is great w out the drama of Windows and all their updates etc
i like the samsung galaxy book 3 pro 360. You can still play tablet games on it, its bigger which is better for multi tasking, and has a better operating system. The only thing that makes it not as good as it doesnt have that tablet feel and its heavier so you cant really hold it in one hand like you could with a tablet. Its more of a desktop tablet. But overall, if whats more important for you is that its light then the tablet is for you, if you need a better laptop mode and want to be able to use it in your lap in laptop mode, go with the galaxy book 3 pro 360

I resonate with this lol, the larger screen makes me want to fill it with more ideas and things in general. Side by side multitasking for productivity is also much more feasible on this vs the S9/S9+ for me
Bought myself a powerful Lenovo Legion laptop for both work and entertainment but I am looking at getting the TabS9 Ultra purely for work/light entertainment if I am on the go or during vacation.
I have iphone 13 pro max & 14 pro max.. I was deciding and comparing between im going to buy an ipad pro or s9 ultra. Im sorry apple but i have to give it to samsung. I am very satisfied that i bought the s9. with it's functionality and other amazing features i didnt hesitate. especially with the samsung dex i freaking loved it!

Was planning on upgrading to one of the plus models this year mostly for the screen size but have just started thinking about the portability issues that might bring vs the s6 lite which has already pretty much retired my laptop since I got it a few years ago.

I am considering purchasing one of these tablets. In Brazil, the ultra of 512gb is sold at impressively half the price of the ipad pro 256gb. Half. And it comes with the keyboard case for free. It is not a cheap device but for a 14 inch display and the price... I think I am sold.
Same as you. I enjoy the size more than with my previous small tablets. It's better in all areas be it work or fun. I spent 3 years with the 2019 Tab S6 Lite and I can tell you for sure - I'm never going back to a smaller screen tablet.

My only problem is that some apps don't translate in a good experience, and the battery life decreases a bit fast, and I'm not a gaming user, I just take notes and watch videos every now and then.

Hello, I currently have a Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 tablet, which may be great, but I mostly use it to watch movies in the car. At night or in the shade it's ok, but when a little sun hits the screen it's worse. I have a question whether the Galaxy S9 plus would be a much better equivalent or maybe only the S9 Ultra. And how do the S8 Plus or S8 Ultra compare to it?

Correct. If you would upgrade to something it should be a S8 or S9 Ultra, but if you're happy with your plus size then no need!

I was genuinely ready to pop on one of these when it came out and make the switch from iPad but, I use it for work and absolutely need a cell chip. I realized that I can tether this to my phone and that's a workaround but I just feel like for the price point and the ultra name, this thing needs to be 5G cell ready. Hoping the tab S10 ultra will have that upgrade and if so I will likely make the switch.

What is your experience by using Ms Office on this tablet?
Ordered the 1TB Ultra and crossing my fingers. Came over from the M1 iPad. I really wanted to keep this thing but after five weeks, I determined that it just wasn’t for me. Just not enough apps that were compatible with the aspect ratio. Seems to be about 3-4 years away in terms of ecosystem and developers support. 🤷♂️

What about storage? With applications installed on the built-in hard drive, is 256 enough to not worry about running out of space? I understand about the external storage such as the SD card but that will not save apps for the most part.
Is 256g good enough or is the 512 better for common app installs?

My Samsung s7plus tablet was the first electronic i ever bought where i genuinely didn't regret buying at any level. i loved that tablet and it hurt my soul when i lost it. i travel a lot so i decided to buy a laptop to get more graphical power. i was using a a UAG case and the tablet felt like i was holding steel and i loved it because it did not feel fragile. the only thing keeping me from buying another tablet is that i would probably barely use my $5k laptop and it'll be a waste. any upgrade from a s7plus is a done deal for me and from what what I've seen from this demonstration there is nothing bad about this tablet except that camera cut out that looks really unnecessary.
My only concern is the oled screen, we once purchased galaxy phone with oled screen. After sometime the pixels started to get print of homescreen which is present mostly on the screen and this is what a drawback is for oled.
My Tab S9 Ultra became my infotainment screen on my pickup truck rigged with magnets over the stock 8 inch display of my truck
Does Dex allow multiple desktops to switch from like a Macbook? This might be a deal breaker for me.
BTW, the S9+ has a 12.4 inch screen not 12.9. I'm upgrading from the S6 to the S9+ soon.

I could get a 512GB Ultra S9 tablet for $259 (after educational discount+ trade in). Here in Australia I paid $1700 for the S9 plus version (512GB) with student discount + trade in. Australia is f*xxd 😂😂.

I haven't upgraded since the Tab S7+. With a trade in I can get this tablet for $515. I think I'm going to have to pull the trigger.
I now have the iPad Pro 11 inch from 2018, but I am now hesitating whether to buy the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus or an iPad again, but the new one with OLED? the Tab S 9 Plus will be cheaper and I only use my iPad Pro for TV and streaming, which is why I want an OLED screen, and I surf the internet and view emails and light office work such as Word and Excel. what would I do?

No, but only because there isn’t a WIFI+Cellular version of the S9 Ultra. Never mind that at least here in the U.S. the Cellular providers prevent it.

Recently went from iPad pro 11 2022 A12z to S9 ultra. For films, this it is much better. However, it is literally the only mobile device that's given me muscle strain from a couple of hours of use. Not only is it 742g but also the weight distribution from such a large device means holding it one hand for any length of time is genuinely torturous

The Tab Ultra series is the closest I've seen to a tablet becoming a desktop replacement, but is Android really able to pull it off or do people find the apps lacking compared to a similarly priced Windows/Mac laptop?
For the last couple of weeks, I've been on the fence about canceling my Tab S9 Ultra order because of this very question. I'm in search of a productivity machine that I could take anywhere. No games, no crazy stuff, only productivity. So I wanted this tablet to be the ultimate "Laptop replacement" so much because of its gorgeous screen and fun user experience. But replacing a laptop entirely depends on the use case. I need to write academic papers, so reference managers as well as proper desktop class browsers with extension support are vital to me. Most Android apps are watered down versions of desktop class programs. I've tried to convince myself that the workarounds like MS Word and Mendeley reference manager on the web could actually work but I know that at some point I won't be able to do one specific task on this Android tablet and I'll regret not going for a proper laptop. So I'm looking for one instead.
@dkursada get the tab s9 ultra. Laptops generally arent ip68 rated, but the s9 ultra is. Buy a $20 blutooth keyboard for your writing and dont buy the samsung $350 bs keyboard. The tablet is also extremely durable, just watch the break tests on youtube. Best of luck sir
Tablets are adjuncts to a laptop. If you are making presentations or writing articles, editing papers, or working on digital art and don't want the weight of a laptop, this is the kind of machine you should have. The link is through DeX. Your laptop doesn't have a SIM card either, but you can use your phone as a private mobile hotspot for connectivity (within limits). If you use heavy technical applications, this may not be for you.

Just recently purchased one myself price was a bit high but I tend to keep items like this till they really don't update the apps anymore,previously tab is 8 years old.
I was using a Nexus tablet for almost 10 years to stream my news networks on Sling. I have the Ultra 8 and Ultra 9 and with a secondary display which you can ge OLED for less than $200 you have a great two screen set up.
I just dont like how the qc of moondrops works or the lack of it. kept on changing the filters of my aria until i bought wan’er for gaming and retired the arias
