I've been skeptical of Samsung ecosystem for the longest time but after using the Tab S8, it was so good that I bought the entire ecosystem of all Galaxy products and honestly it's the most seamless and complete ecosystem on the android side of things. Also bless Samsung for making SmartTags, they are a life saver and an essential part of an ecosystem which Google still hasn't made.
we keep forgetting the fact that Samsung's ecosystem is not limited to these mobile devices. Throw in the washing machine, refrigerator, oven and whatnot into the mix and you'll find that the Samsung ecosystem is actually insane. Of course, these other household appliances may not be considered as important, but they're pretty damn cool imo.

(the door lock makes sense and probably adds as an additional key in case one forgets since more people probably sense their phone's presence more often)
The collaboration between google samsung and microsoft is so important, and its nice to see it grow. Apples weakest point is they stand alone. The software working between these 3 different brands is so nice to see
The partnership you mentioned is actually, Google forcing Samsung to do things a certain way, and Samsung working with Microsoft. Google holds a grudge against Microsoft over a court ruling that gives Microsoft a percentage of even Android phone sales. Google is a bad administrator of Android. There are so many problems they have neglected to fix. Fortunately, Samsung and other companies have some what stepped in.
I'm glad people are finally mentioning this. For work, I have to test software on both Apple and Android (Samsung specifically as they have the largest market share for it), and I was pleasantly surprised with the Samsung ecosystem. When I mention this to people who ask about the differences, I find out they're really just asking me to crap on Samsung/Android, and they start to tune me out when I mention it's actually good. I think people who used to be prejudiced towards people in the 80's can't do it in the open now and channel it through products lol.
We run a mixed pc/apple production and design environment at work too and it's been an eye opener to the boss. He's done spending Apple bucks. The PC's do the heavy lifting with machines and are solid and stable, they've been replacing the Macs in the design side of things to improve productivity and reliability. As for you trying to explain to people how things actually are there's the brainwashed factor, the same people will say there's never ever any faults of failures. Apple has been a master at cult leadership, hats off too their mind control achievements.... I guess.😂
@@Spoonfed78 Lol, I don't mention this too often because people think I am just an Apple hater, I do like their products and understand the appeal to do basic things... but yeah I've actually run into more problems on it than a PC, and they are much more harder to diagnose/fix for anything beyond simple things. I had one instance of the processor running full throttle, was because some software was trying to update and couldn't, apparently a known issue as they mentioned it was best to just uninstall and reinstall rather than update. There's a company policy where no games are supposed to be installed on the machines and I noticed on one of the laptops I'm supposed to use, a chess game was on it. Guy in charge told me can't simply uninstall, there's more issues in getting it removed so left it. What the heck
@@anfernyjackson9013 yep. I went from asus rog pc with linux and win on it to mac. Tbh if someone would give me the windows back i would take it so fast. The customization of mac is hell, its basically non existent, half of the apps you cant delete because its actually not even apps but functions that for whatever reason have icons like wth? And yes the games, saddest experience of all, cant play almost anything on it. And from the security side like exactly as you mention, more often than not that actually becomes a sole issue since not even the apple techies can get into it to repair it lol. And like i have apple phone, tablet and now even mac. But what they do nowadays I hate the whole marketing around it, with features that are like half a year old and just.. yuck.
The Samsung ecosystem is actually pretty compelling this time around! The 'Mirror TV to Tablet' option is so simple and useful, yet it amazes me how no other company has implemented it yet.
@TheBoujiman The difference is with samsung you can wirelessly cast dex to any modernish TV with maracast. Literally a wireless portable desktop with you, I use it daily at work.
Samsung made almost every kind of electronics and it works really well with galaxy devices. For example, on hot days, I turn on the Samsung air conditioner with my Samsung phone a few hours before I get home. Also, I can operate my Samsung robot vacuum cleaner outside the house, and when the Samsung refrigerator runs out of ingredients for cooking, a notification comes to my Galaxy S24U asking if I want to reorder it. I can also remotely operate my Samsung washing machine with my phone and receive a notification on my phone that the wash is complete. I think this video only shows about 'Galaxy Ecosystem'
mirroring DeX to tv is very useful for my cases. i know in my office, all my meeting room had a smart tv. and when i'm meeting, i never carry my laptop with me. i just cast DeX on meeting room TV and voila. it's more advance than mirroring phone screen because i can navigate through pretty large excel files, switching between powerpoint and excel and word, or even remote desktop my "Real PC". all my workmate always impressed with that, not even someone who always had an ipad with him can cast to the screen could do what i do because its only using airplay protocol and the TV doesn't have it. and yeah screen mirroring/DeX mirroring works on any smart tv not just samsung
Yeah definitely subscribed. This is the type of tech content I want to see, most tech reviewers do not focus on these things this deeply and these are what makes users like me decide if a product is worth it if it will make life easier through integration. I would love to see more on how they work with IOT and/or smart home stuff if they can connect with some Fridges, Washers, Lights, security stuff etc.
True that. This is where my head is at with tech. Everything is good enough quality, now how can we get software and physical boundaries out of the way.
@@tracy2919 and everyhting working together seemlessly to make life easier for ourselves. Especially with the devices you already have. Same chargers and everything. You got my point.
My family too along with few of my friends, my iPhone friends are also realizing Samsung is nowadays a good option if they wanna try a different ecosystem
Same here, but its a basic 99 cent per month subscription for 50GB cloud storage and everything is in the cloud and shared with a single button click within a second since its already online. iOS/apple ofc, what else
I absolutely love how so many of these things sync with windows. I have two PCs and an iPhone and I have absolutely no desire to get a MacBook. If I get a Samsung phone though I can still get an ecosystem! This makes it very tempting…
I highly recommend the switch! I need Windows for my work and game for fun, so it's a not brainer for me. Also, I don't know if it's available for all Androids, but Phone Link from the Windows store seamless connects your phone to your PC. You can even accept phone calls on it.

@whitneym.6941 that would be the downside. I can get around an average of 5 hours. For me its more than enough since im mainly plugged in at home or in the office.
I've been really enjoying it really. Speakers may not sound great initially, but make sure you have Dolby Atmos enabled using the Samsung settings. I say this because, the Microsoft settings sometimes don't allow for the Dolby option, but through Samsung settings, it's an easy on and off switch, and there's quite a significant difference in sound. Also, the laptop can get warm, but never too hot. But other than these little nitpicks, overall very happy with it. @@Boozerman24

Dex works on many TVs, not just Samsung. I use it wirelessly with my LG. It's great to look at photos or browse the web (for example shopping for furniture) on a big screen with the family.
Wow, I thought that wireless Dex only works with Samsung monitors and TVs. But it's funny when I say "Hi Bixby" (it's useful for turning the TV on and off and change the volume when you have no idea where you put your remote or your hands are just busy), and my phone, my tablet, my watch and my TV comes to life at the same time. 😅😂
I thought I knew everything I can use from the Samsung ecosystem, but Ella always comes with new information, I didn't know about instant hotspot . Thanks!!
This is the first year I’m leaving Apple ecosystem completely. What I found if you have a Samsung TV, buds phone, laptop tablet every feature, including the windows one works amazingly fast no lag no hiccups it just goes. I noticed you tried it on the omen and there was lag and slow downs, I can believe that’s true because Samsung only wants you to buy Samsung products at the end of the day. Great video by the way!
Samsung is apple wannabe dont notice they copy everything samsung. Now samsung less innovate try are trying to copy apple marketing style see s24u nothing new just scam some fake AI crap
Yeah I noticed that she was trying to promote her own laptop, yet trying to include it into Samsung's ecosystem - abit short sighted if you ask me. I also do not have those lag issues, so this video ends up being alittle misleading
@@GetUrOwnHandle This use case was one of the things I'm ok with. Most people are ok with getting a Samsung TV/Tablet/Watch/Phone, but they'll not be getting a Samsung PC/Laptop. It's one deviation from Apple ecosystem in that most people will have a non ecosystem PC. A lot of the works with Windows in general stuff and how it worked with the Omen is more useful IMO. It fits my ecosystem use case with my TV/Monitor/Watch/Phone/Tablet perfectly because I also have a desktop PC. Stopped using laptops for a while now just cuz the tablet is so useful.
@@Gimp2288 I'm saying this because I have no issues, but I actually think other OEM laptops should work no problem. I've definitely used one of the features she mentioned previously on another laptop without any issues. I would not be surprised if that was the case for many users
You can wirelessly cast dex to any tv that supports chromecast, and you can use an hdmi adpater and get low latency dex or mirror casting. Also, music share/separate app sounds are another pair of underrated features. People tend to forget the bluetooth tether feature as well. You're able to connect with another device through bluetooth and share your data with it or just use wifi share.
Separate app volume & the ability to have multiple apps playing audio is underrated. Bluetooth tethering AFAIK is pretty much universal on most modern phones. It’s just most of the time US carriers tend to go out of their way to block it. In the EU, Asian, South American and African regions even a $150 phone likely has Bluetooth & usb tethering features.
@TheJerknoid the wifi share is pretty nice, though. I feel like almost no one talks about that, and it really helps when you wanna boost your wifi signal.
You can have a second screen on the tablet even you are not connected on the same network. No need to install anything on the laptop. I always do it in my office where my tablet are restricted to connect in the office network. It really helpful for me when I need to demo and share the second screen over a meeting.
Same here! My Windows laptop on wifi connects with my tablet on cellular without needing any apps. I often use it for programming assignments or studying while at school. I definitely get attention when i can magically pull out a 2 monitor system from my bag. (Laptop screen, tablet screen)
Absolutely love your review on this. I've been using Samsung's ecosystem for a couple of years and it's super underrated. I'm so glad big creators like you are able to cover it. Thanks for sharing Ella!
I'm happy to see Samsung developing an ecosystem that is competitive with Apple's, everybody benefits from it (even Windows users, as you've shown). Great review.
yes its great just sad that it took Samsung and Microsoft this long to develop this ecosystem while apple is building its ecosystem since 2011 but no microsoft was to focused building there own eco system and competing with Android And iOS with there Windows Phone that did fail leaving windows 10 with no phone support

Ye just if i bought s23 instead of the s22 ultra cuz it's disastrous where i can't even watch a video or open some of the apps without it burning me and dimming the screen or just randomly
Great video Ella. Samsung ecosystem is way broader than the Apple ecosystem. In my use case, I find the Samsung ecosystem is way better because I can use my Samsung phone to control my TV, fridge, washing machine and almost everything else in my house. I must say it works great!
Samsung let's you control everything even if your not tied yo it Samsung is free to allow With apple your locked into a society full of sheep that don't know anything about technology
Apple literally make one hand of devices types. Laptop (not even touch screen or 2 in 1), tablet, desktops, phones, ear audio. Oh and expensive cloths and phones and super pricey snowboarding goggles 😂
We can do that with an iPhone too, Apple TV, which is arguably cheaper than any smart TV, you can also just grab a regular dumb tv and make it smart, smart fridges, ovens, window ac units, lights and washing machines have dedicated apps or home kit compatible. I’d like to experience Samsung but can’t find a compelling reason to switch other than cost. I’d actually be loosing out on refinements from my analysis.
That's not an eco system feature as it can be used with any phone physically paired including iPhone It's a feature and a brilliant one but it's not tied to Samsung
I actually use the wireless Dex on TV, when I'm lying in bed and don't want to get my laptop or just connect cables. And I LOVE the shared clipboard (it works with pictures too, not just texts) across my windows laptop and Samsung tablet and phone! And for what I use the Second Screen, it's just perfect for me (when I travel so it's just a screen for seeing Slack or browsing the web for the solution for my current problem), I wish it would also work on Mac too... And yeah, the Samsung Buds connectivity is fantastic. I play on Playstation on my Samsung TV (yes, I have quite a few Samsung products, I know), a phone call comes in, the TV mutes itself, because I set a SmartThings routine for it, and when I answer the phone, the Buds automatically switched to my phone, quickly, and it was really good.
Hey Ella, it's my first time watching one of your videos and I'm loving your fast paced style of content. Please do continue this if possible, thanks! 😊
Wow ... Ella maybe this is the best complete video that i saw about Samsung Ecosystem Although using S23U, Book3 and S9U, there were many features which i got to know just today😮
Omg, I've been asking for a video like this for years now. I'm so happy that you did this and sharing some light on Samsung's ecosystem. I'm always hearing that Apple has a better ecosystem with no real comparisons out there and I'm so happy to have seen someone actually show a video comparison. 🙏🏾 I would love to see you share some light on how their washer and refrigerators expanding their ecosystem
Yeah, it really calls into question how the hell these other "reviewers" get views on their videos. 90% of the "popular" reviews on Apple products are always the same things regurgitated over and over again. Real reviews take time to produce, but all these other channels obviously wouldn't do that since it feels like they are paid off by Apple.
Wish I could switch from apple to android/samsung. I like sending clear videos through iMessage. It would be grainy when sending and receiving from android smh
Using Samsung ecosystem from 2020. Pretty good and pretty simple. While buying the tablet, everyone told that Writing apps for Android tablets are not good but I found inbuilt Samsung Notes and till now I find no need of other apps
Valid! This video had a lot of great points. I also found It's very humorous when you said 'When are you going to come across a Samsung TV in the wild?'
Dex will actually work on any tv with smart share, ive used it so many times at friends and relatives houses, hotels rooms etc, if they have a firestick or chromecast too you can use those to stream dex.
I use Dex on my tv and my tv is a cheap TCL and it works flawlessly. Love it. Your video is so cool! Lots of features I didnt know and didnt use yet. Thank you!!
What makes me love Samsung's ecosystem more is that it's not limited to only Samsung devices. Any windows Laptop could join in and it's just works and I'm not limited to only one brand and product
Great video! Minor correction regarding Dex... you can use it with ANY TV where you can mirror your android device screen (pretty much all modern TVs today). Doesn't have to be a Samsung TV...
Thanks for this video! I'm mostly in the Samsung ecosystem and trying to figure out if I'm going to buy the last couple pieces to go all in. This was super helpful.
This woman is very charismatic, made me smile with some little jokes she made at the same time that she shows and explain everything, definitely going to check more of her videos!
That's a good one, Ella. I am enjoying the Apple ecosystem, but am curious if the Samsung's option is offering the same or even better. As a Windows user, I'll probably switch to Samsung's, it's just a better option if you don't go all in on Apple. The fact that, as you showed, you can copy in your phone and paste in Windows PC is AMAZING.
If you are using a Windows PC, the Apple ecosystem really doesn't play well with it. Samsung's one integrates much more nicely. Pro tip: use Link To Windows (collab between Microsoft and Samsung) and you can use universal clipboard, Screen mirroring and drag and drop to transfer files between windows and Samsung Galaxy devices.
@@Junispro31 I mean, there aren't much senarios that I need the integration between the phone and the computer, but when I do need, it appears that Samsung makes it way better for Windows users. Thanks for the comment, appreciated!
HUGE thank you for this video. I had no idea Samsung released the Quick Share feature on Windows until now. A true gamechanger for people handling files on Windows then later needing them on the phone
You can actually use DeX on non-Samsung TVs too, you just need a type C to HDMI cable. This actually came in very handy to me. I was traveling really light so I didn't want to carry my laptop. So I connected my phone to a random TV in the accommodation. Way better than watching stuff on the phone.
Get a dongle and you use a wireless keyboard/mouse (or trackpad). If there's a ethernet port where you staying, ethernet (with the right dongle) can be used by phone.
It's clear that the major weakness in Samsung's ecosystem is its lack of first-party computers. Apple has its own desktop operating system that it has complete control over, and Samsung can't compete there. If Samsung wants to move any farther than they have, they need to make their own OS.
Doesn't make sense to make an OS at this point, it's hard to move the large windows & Mac OS user base to a new OS, hence why a lot of people have yet to switch to Linux even though these days Linux is pretty user friendly. Apple has been working on on MacOS for a really long time polishing it and making it good and building a large user base. User would not just try a new operating system at this point.
Samsung Dex can be done on-the-go with any HDMI port to USB-C port cable and a compatible display, just saying. Useful for older TVs that don't support smart TV or app download features.
Only US goes gaga over the Apple ecosystem. Outside US ecosystem by other com panies including Samsung is way better than the limited Apple ecosystem, which provides nothing more than the bare minimum
Samsung should pay for an ecosystem explanation like this one, well done. I like to see that you showcased another windows laptop though too. It is valuable to see, many many people would more practically take a gaming laptop or other high end laptop over a similarly priced (or more expensive) samsung galaxy book with similar/slightly lower specs. Especially seeing that the ecosystem does somewhat exist for windows. But.. no matter how well samsung integrates ecosystem into windows, it is still not the authentic full experience. Heck, I even had a galaxy book ion that was a generation too old for most samsung specific ecosystem, and it felt too ingenuine. Mainly cz it didnt have multicontrol, but also cz the main windows integrated features (being quickshare and second screen share) were very 50/50 or slow at functionality for me. Multi control from a Samsung laptop, when you have both a phone and tablet from samsung, really becomes the foundation of that three device ecosystem. You get rid of everything other than Multi-control, and it would still be a solid ecosystem. It is what beats Apple's Mac to iOS connectivity. I wouldn't compare that from apple to link to windows for samsung.. Link to windows is a SICK substitute for windows users that apple arrogantly would never provide lmao.. but it is secondary to samsungs real stuff. With a galaxy book laptop, you get to connect your three devices in two major ways that you can't on other windows laptops. 1) Drag your mouse and key board off screen to your phone to type your messages quickly as you work (multi control), copy and paste between devices (part of multi control if im not mistaken, and another thing other windows laptops wont work as properly with), drag files/documents from windows to android and vice versa (this is different than quick share & easier to do), second screen share from your same laptop to phone set up but now screen extending to your tablet screen at the same time . 2) Further you can take the multi control to your phone by a different route. Instead of using your phones screen, samsung flow to put your phone screen onto your tablet, split screen the tablet so that half of it is phone half is tablet, and then multi control your laptop to the tablet so that you can control all three of them from just two screens. There are other surely more niche applications of utilizing three samsung devices, but I would call those two my main ones. Overall what samsung is doing with windows is SICK & INSPIRING. Its nice to see how polar opposite they are to the petty apple industry. but it just cant be viewed as their entire ecosystem effort. No reason to handicap the representation of our finally superior ecosystem, not in the face of apple's / all the stigma we get from them! A true samsung ecosystem experience ultimately comes with the commitment to one of their laptops.
I only prefer Samsung over Apple because Apple goes out of its way to make sure its products are completely incompatible with anyone else. I suppose it is a good marketing strategy but I'm sticking with their competitors.
@@pistolman44 Yes, it is a brilliant marketing strategy. If you have an iPhone and want to buy a computer. It may be that a PC might serve your needs best, but Apple gets you to buy their computer because the iPhone won't work with the PC well at all. In my opinion, samsung is significantly better. The only weakness is FaceTime. Since Google meet is also available on Apple devices, it works great. But wirh so many apple devices in the US and Apple being Apple, and keeping FaceTime only to ios devices is to me, an admission that they NEED proprietary measures to keep their advantage in the US market.

One thing to try to prevent the phone from locking is Smart Lock or Android 14 Extended Unlock. When your device is connected to a trusted device it will keep the screen from locking. You can do it with keyboards, tablets and Galaxy Books. But absolutely one of the best videos I've viewed.
The big, big, big issue i have with Samsung / Android / Windows is the longevity. My wife hold her apple devices for like 10 years (Mac) and 3-4 years for iPhones (usually giving it to one of her sister, the devices working still very well after that). It’s the reason I switched to this ecosystem after like… 15 years to Mac/ios and I have to say iOS is pretty satisfying But I understand who likes Samsung eco too!
Fridges and ovens and washing machines and dish washers and Hoovers, Aircons, lights, locks and TVs (some with GamePass so consoles too) and Laptops and of course Smartphones and Tablets and more. Its kinda crazy
The Apple "ecosystem" blah blah should always be called out as it is "Apple JailSystem". There's no argument when There's interoperability across brands and OS systems. The collaboration between google samsung and microsoft is so important, and its nice to see it grow. Apples weakest point is they stand alone. The software working between these 3 different brands is so nice to see
Totally agree
The partnership you mentioned is actually, Google forcing Samsung to do things a certain way, and Samsung working with Microsoft. Google holds a grudge against Microsoft over a court ruling that gives Microsoft a percentage of even Android phone sales. Google is a bad administrator of Android. There are so many problems they have neglected to fix. Fortunately, Samsung and other companies have some what stepped in.
That’s Apples greatest strength. Not having to worry about anyone else

@@AndreasDuessca Eh, both have their strengths and weaknesses
Also you can mirror your Samsung phone with almost any brand Smart TV now. It is awesome and works way better than Apple Air Play
You can do that with Iphones and Google phones too. This seems like a common feature.

I have heard that Samsung also made literal military tanks back in the day
mirroring DeX to tv is very useful for my cases. i know in my office, all my meeting room had a smart tv. and when i'm meeting, i never carry my laptop with me. i just cast DeX on meeting room TV and voila. it's more advance than mirroring phone screen because i can navigate through pretty large excel files, switching between powerpoint and excel and word, or even remote desktop my "Real PC". all my workmate always impressed with that, not even someone who always had an ipad with him can cast to the screen could do what i do because its only using airplay protocol and the TV doesn't have it.
and yeah screen mirroring/DeX mirroring works on any smart tv not just samsung

Dex works on many TVs, not just Samsung. I use it wirelessly with my LG. It's great to look at photos or browse the web (for example shopping for furniture) on a big screen with the family.
Wow, I thought that wireless Dex only works with Samsung monitors and TVs. But it's funny when I say "Hi Bixby" (it's useful for turning the TV on and off and change the volume when you have no idea where you put your remote or your hands are just busy), and my phone, my tablet, my watch and my TV comes to life at the same time. 😅😂

@@therainbowpoopp separate app sounds is a lifesaver for people who own restaurant businesses.
@TheJerknoid Yeah, that's true. Bluetooth tethering is a pretty universal feature.
@TheJerknoid the wifi share is pretty nice, though. I feel like almost no one talks about that, and it really helps when you wanna boost your wifi signal.

One of my favorites that wasn't in the video is power sharing from the phone to the watch or ear buds in a pinch. Incredibly useful for trips
That's not an eco system feature as it can be used with any phone physically paired including iPhone
It's a feature and a brilliant one but it's not tied to Samsung
If I’m not mistaken I think it’s tied to usb c power delivery.

If any reviewer comparing Apple products with Samsung now ever gives Apple a point for ecosystem, I'm calling it a biased review.
In Samsung Laptops, the Apps on phone can run independent of the Android Device.
😂😂😂
💯💯💯💯 apple have a great PR
Are people not allowed preference. I think all this cool. I just prefer apple.
Samsung, what features do you implement in your ecosystem?
- yes.
THX!

This video is absolutely fantastic! The way you explain complex topics in such a simple and engaging manner is truly impressive The visuals and editing are top-notch, making it not only informative but also a pleasure to watch. I've learned so much from this video, and I can't wait to apply these insights in real life. Thank you for consistently creating such valuable content. Keep up the amazing work!
Well .. Samsung tabs have a calculator app. Just saying 😂
Low key kinda crazy to see her channel still going. Found her trending for her S21 video during covid and good for her for still going still and staying relatively relevant in the Marques dominated sector of RUclips.
This is so big disadvantage for apple because you can't do any of that with other phones and pc brands HUGE Red flag
The samsung Dex future is a life saver for me! I take my laptop from work daily. I'm not a morning person, so if I forget my laptop, I am not going back home to get it. With samsung dex, there is no need to return home. I simply connect my Samsung phone to my USB-C port from my docking station and connect to my OneDrive, and there you have it, I work from my cellphone just as easy-to-use as if I were working from my laptop. 🙌🏽
Absolutely love the video, keep working this way. Love your content.
Very satisfied with your review, Ella! Been watching you for a few years now and you always end up convincing me of the great features of Samsung. I really love how you have a mix of Apple and Samsung/Android usage all the time, I think it makes you much more reliable in terms of your reviews. I’ve used Apple ecosystem since 2016 and I’m starting to think a switch is in order after I pay off my most recent iPhone :)
My DEX use case is in an RV. I bought a gaming monitor (much higher res/refresh than the comparable size TVs), and I use an HDMI-to-USBC cable to launch DEX to the monitor. I watch all my streaming off the phone's data plan, not the limited hotspot! And I just use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard from my seat to avoid needing a super long cable.
I thought you had Galaxy Books yourself, i was surprised you didn't use them for this video
Fun fact, DeX; you can use it with any monitor/tv using wireless or an HDMI cable
