S9 Plus personally. Unless you have a regular type book cover: Screen protector! I can't stress enough how much stress this will take away. (Untill the definitive Tab S9 series protectors are available, most of the previous gen. ones will fit too.) And an extra tip, the S Pen, while it only charges on the back, can also be magnetically attached to the top side of the tablet for convenience.
S9+ is the sweet spot not too big and not small. Luckily in my country it was on sale and only around 50 dollars difference between s9 and the plus (as i was looking for 12gb ram) so definitely chose the plus.
Thanks for the upload Alex. S9 for me. Though I like to watch movies at bedtime I also read pdfs with the tablet on my lap. I was thinking the + may be a tad too big for this. I could have settled for the FE but I really wanted the omeled display.
I'm a bit late to the party but I got myself the Ultra, since I'll be using it for school and when traveling as a laptop and not really a tablet. I also got myself a portable second screen, dex mode is a beast after all
Many of the Amazon cases made for s8-ultra will fit the s9-ultra. I ordered a Fintie case which was made for s8-ultra. They had updated the product page in photos to say it would fit s9-ultra, but the title does not mention the s9 ultra. The case arrived today and fits great. It is a multiple angle portfolio case with pocket . There is a flip over lap which shields the pen from falling out. I bought the navy with black trim. Has visible stitching which I love.
At first I hoped he will recomend the best keyboard/case or screen protection, because a larger screen will be more prone towards cracks and accidents !
Thank you sir. Just got my new Galaxy Tab 9 and it is a HUGE difference from my A 10.5 Your video helped me out a lot. Can't wait to get used to using this device in my everyday life
Thank you so much! I just got the Galaxy s9+ yesterday. I've never had a Samsung, just a very old generic Android. I was confused trying to learn even the basics of what this can do! I had no idea which video to start with and I'm so glad I chose yours! I subscribed and will watch your videos from now on!
Hy on my s9+ i disabled to use my spen to be used to perform gestures on screen, like back swipe or under swipe for home screen. I can do them by fingers but my spen isn't doing that. Do u know which setting to change?
Just went from the Tab s6 lite (2020, android 13) to the S9 FE+ Always try to find one of these vids just to see what changed between those 3-4 yrs that I didn't have as options on the s6. Thanks!
I just got mine few days ago. I got a screen protector because I don't want to take any chances since this is super duper expensive toy. Samsung LCD screens cost not hundreds but thousands to replace if the warranty is gone.
I only use glass screen protectors on my phone as it is usually jingling in my pocket along with coins/what ever else is in there. I don't ever feel the need to use one on a tablet as it is handled with more care. The modern glass used on these tablets is robust enough to survive normal daily use and whilst traveling mine is placed inside a tablet sleeve. You could argue that it is an expensive toy, however, a screen protector will lessen the quality of the beautiful screen and most likely cause the fingerprint print sensor, s pen and touch sensitivity to be temperamental. I'd rather have the full qualitity experience without a screen protector. If it drops on the floor it will most likely crack with a screen protector on anyway 🤷🏽
I Opted out and placed a Liquid Screen protector most of the screen protector i used messed with the biometric scanner. Plus is scratch RESILIENCY goes crazy up.
One thing I noticed was that you were not touching the screen while writing with the s-pen. Whenever you are writing with s-pen, the hand touches are disabled, so now you don't have to worry about accidental touches and not do the awkward writing posture. Just rest your hand normally like you're writing on a real notepad
Good tips and all, but also, first things first, you gotta install Good Lock and its modules so that you get to enjoy the tablet at its full capabilities. 😉
I'm so happy today, I got a tear in my eye. Today, is the last day of my life! That I will own an apple product crap, I traded my tab 10th gen for an S9 Plus, got a good discount overall and the temp discount was good, so I only paid $541 for the S9 Plus..........Never again in my life will waste money buying apple mediocre products......
Thank you! for @16:00 if, like my uncle who i was trying to help over the phone using this video, you dont see three dots, its the pencil icon you need to tap.
Thanks for the video, Im actually getting the S9+ in a few days (upgrading from my A7 which has been great), and love vids like this that bring you up to speed. I havn't looked through you other vids, but I'm trying to learn more about the AI function when docking the SS keyboard and how it transforms the tablet. Is this something you can touch base on as well? Thx!
I just got my first tab and its the galaxy s9 ultra and your tips came in handy. Next I'm waiting for my meta guest 3 and will be using it with the s9 tab
Lag or delay? Like the tablet actually starts to lag, and slow down/stutter? (I don't see how that would happen, especially with the power of the device). Or the delay - the more time that is taken up because of the animations played when you swipe the application away? (I can understand that)
The biggest downside to buttons, in my opinion, is that you can't use the touch/hold function to hide or show the Taskbar. I believe buttons also disables a few other useful gestures. I love the buttons and greatly prefer it over swipe, but when I'm using my S pen and using multiple apps on my Z Fold or on my Tab 9, I need to be able to hide & show the Taskbar.
I just got the S9 and the only part of your tutorial that didn't work was the lock screen memos. When I pull my pen off of the back of the tablet, the screen doesn't stay black and allow me to write. It immediately turns on and has my background picture, so I can't write anything. What am I missing?
Thanks for these tips! I've never used a tablet and I'll be getting the S9 Ultra in a few days, so this was very useful. Lots of similarities to modern Android phones (duh, I guess).
If you change the animation speeds you can have a glitchy experience with some apps and it actually doesn't make the device faster, just looks like it had too much caffeine.
@@TangySeedling Tbh, it's good but I can't say that I recognize any significant differences. Could be I don't fully utilize it enough of its features. All in all it does what I need and I am good with that...for now. If my needs change I will learn whether or not I can utilize it further.
Thank you for all the advice and tips. I would suggest that you slow down a bit your presentation, especially when you move from one setting to another, so that those who watch don't have to constantly hit the pause button to catch up.

Hi Alex, do you know if it possible to have "always on" on the Galaxy S9 - maybe through developer mode? I need the tablet in a restaurant and it is not so smart if it turns black in the middle of service :)

very useful video i disagree with most of his choices of how to customize it but he did point out settings i can use to customize it how i will want to
How would you compare the performance and battery to the prior tab s8? I have it and I love it except the battery and performance are insufficient sometimes. Also I feel this is the best tablet this year and the best Samsung product
Pretty good. It lasted me about two full days on power saving mode(which limits cpu to 70%) for day-to-day tasks. Definitely better than the old snapdragon gen1 used in s8.

Honestly i wouldn't disable or speed up any animation or transparency and stuff. It makes the Tablet feel not smooth
Not on Ta S9. Same with S23. S22 was horrible, although Tab S8 workshop quite wellness without animations.
i agree, if this is like my s8 ultra...which it is and more! IT DOESN'T NEED SPEEDING UP😮
