Great information! I think the simple setup you outlined with an airline + hotel + travel card is the best way to go for most people. Thanks for the info + video!
The red vest in a nice touch. Was great to see all the cool references to one of my favorite trilogies. Great to see all these helpful tips! You're definitely not a slacker!
Creatively brilliant! I was expecting a photo of your cards fading away but it sounds like you didn’t redo everything. Stephen Covey - Begin with the end in mind! Pick a travel goal and find a card SUB to get you there.
Very good video. Always like a back to the future vibe. I also like the whole starting over. We always talk about how we adjust in a quarter or a year. First time I have seen start over. Thanks.
🙃 haven’t seen back to the future. But thanks for going back in time! I like that you choose simplicity over churning and acquiring multiple sign up bonuses. I may eventually lean towards this, but I’m going to get these points while the are offering
Love the retrospect! If I had a credit card time machine, I would go back and get started way earlier. When I was active duty military, I had no idea that the annual fees had to be waived by law by the issuers and I didn't take advantage.
I was thinking through this exercise and I landed where you landed. I was thinking the AmEx Platinum or Hilton Aspire, and the AA Executive Elite as the first two cards. Lounge access, priority boarding, and hotel status have moved the needle on my travel the most.
I found this channel about 6 months ago on my RUclips tv app. I went back to watch your older material and appreciate you upgrading your channel along the way. It’s a hidden gem that can help those getting started.
I really appreciate this comment. Thanks for watching (and Watching again lol). Hope you subscribed and stay in touch. Im continuing to push my content and equipment. Talk soon!
@@CallMeLani IHG Platinum doesn't give breakfast credits and upgrades are rare. Marriott tends to be more expensive for cash stays. UR transfers rarely give good CPP. Hilton diamond and FNA is great. And if you are an United fan, you just use your Aspire travel credit for United TravelBank. Hilton has top status, cheaper cash stays, uncapped FNA, and you can earn points fast. Aspire is the best value for the annual fee. You are just going to have to learn the hard way that for Chase go for Hyatt. I had to learn it the hard way.

wrong movie, Ritchie! haha
@@CallMeLani no way man! That’s the first line in the 1955 diner scene.
But you just gave me a great idea for your episode of Beyond Credit.
Great Video Lani 🔥
Thank you, Tasha
I’ve had IHG Mariott Hilton all of them after all of that I would tell you go with the aspire
Aspire is a good card, but does not fit into my lifestyle. I rarely ever stay at Hilton properties
