It takes too long to be looking for enemy ships. Just go to the simulator. It counts there too. It's in the UC. You have to sign up to be in the UC and go to the simulator room from the elevator
I would love to see a video on what parts are important to upgrade and how you can build an efficent fighter early in the game. Im only level 12 and I find myself having to lower the difficulty from very hard in order to compete in space combat.
Same here. It’s a lot of trial and error but from this video alone, he seems to really go into detail so I’m sure either he’ll make a video or one is already made for your request.
Be wary of stealing/commandeering a ship and making it your test/build ship. I have had it flat out disappear from ALL saves on a reload. Granted it wasn't my Home Ship, but Im now gun shy of working on any ship that isn't quest given or purchased.
Brother said “extremely limited” until you’ve upgraded the skill tree! I’ve was overwhelmed with everything at base level so my minds going to be blown once I’ve maxed out 😂 great content man will be using this to help me build!
I wonder, does the cargo follow you from ship to ship? Like Lets say I have ship A as my normal home ship and then I build ship B as my cargo ship, so does the stuff I had in ship A's cargo hold follow me to ship B or vise versa?
this is what i want to know. Like, can i store all my valuables in Ship B and then take off in Ship A to go fight pirates, then come back to Ship B and all my valuables still be in ship B?
My issue is. I have a cannon on the W0 slot and a missile launcher on the W2 slow and they are both assigned but W1 is unassigned but how do I buy a weapon to assign it to that slot? I can't even find the slot to attach it too. Where is the W1 slot. Again I see the W0 and W2 slow they seem to be side by side. Any thoughts or help? Appreciate it
3:50 right here is the spot i'm having trouble with. I have fully pulled apart my ship by pushing everything off to the side, but how to I add new pieces? i can never find anything. the most I have found to do is duplicate a piece I already have and try to slot it next to the other existing piece to try and extend a hallway or whatever, but even that doesn't let me proceed. It just gives me errors. I only want to do ONE thing right now and that is duplicate my cargo hold.. but it doesn't attach to anything, and If i try to duplicate things to have a new spot to attach things to, now I end up with errors.. it's so frustrating. I spent a solid hour trying to do even one thing to my ship and it either doesn't attach or it does attach and then there is an error... Am I supposed to be able to buy parts somewhere? I don't know where to find the hallway/room attachments
One of the best ships you can find is a Ecliptic Claymore II. If you can find one all you have to do is upgrade the reactor and it will take you through to the endgame.
I can definitely see people building some absolutely fantastic stuff with this. Would love to see if someone manages to replicate the Normandy from Mass Effect! 👀
Hey TV nice to see you on Starfield. I made A Blockade runner from Destiny 1 specifically I tried to make the black one you get from Variks for doing prison of elders and earning the currency for it.
Finish the secret outpost quest and you will get a legendary ship for free called the Razorleaf it's a really good early game ship and on thr same mission you get a excellent set of legendary armor for free also. You can also finish the freestar rangers questline and get an even better legendary spaceship for free that can take you to the endgame.
Was wondering if someone can help. I have the Kepler R, Which at the moment, only has 2 weapons. There is an empty slot available for a third weapon. What are the steps? I need to take to put a weapon there. Thanks in advance.
i haven't tried this yet but at 04:12 you say the modules have to be lower than the reactor class so does it mean if its a B class reactor then the modules have to be B and C and lower? because you say for a B class you can have A and B class modules.

One issue not brought up is that inventory is transferred when you change ships. This means if you have a big hauler with 2000 units in the cargo bay, the change to a smaller ship, with 800 max units, the inventory will be 2000/800 and you won’t be able to loot things in space.
How do we unlock all modules at every builder, when I bring a ship to mod, it seems I'm limited depending where I am on what mods I can build like one gives me basic cowlings and I go somewhere else and for the same ship I can put on wings, or I have an option of 2 manufacturers at one port and then another it'll have different manufacturers for mods
my biggest frustration is the docking bays. even when i put them at the edge of my ship sometimes i would still get the docking bay error. what are the rules for placing docking bays aside from puting it at the very edge? like are there specific parts that you can't put beside it?
Can somebody PLEASE tell me where to buy ship modules and go through the steps like I'm an idiot? I've been to New Atlantis and Stroud-Eckland Staryard and I can't figure it out.
Just thinking about it, it would be great as a mod to the game; to allow an infinite weight for the ships. Just that at a certain weight capacity if not supported by your engines would leave you either stranded in space or crashing into a planet and possibly bailing out. Then we could actually make Starships and not just spaceships.
Trying to do this on console/controller is so goddamn hard, the controls for it are terrible (one of the only parts of the game that is objectively bad)
My plan is to go for the Mantis ship and mod the heck out of it. That ship gets a whole lot of cool reactions from other pilots, especially pirates. Most appropriate for my bounty hunter character. That Mantis will be a relatively compact class A ship built for minimum crew. It will have an elongated neck with all four beam weapons encircling the cockpit. The bulk of the ship with be arear that with engines on wings to either side. It will be somewhat reminiscent of an old Klingon D7 cruiser. SPHEROMAK DC202 Class A REACTOR (33 power) 4x PBO-50 AUTO PROTON BEAM (4 power each) Yep, just one bank of four. 1x Deflector SG-60 Shield Generator (9 power) 4x Ares DT60 Engine (2 power each) M50 Ulysses He3 Tank Cockpit (2 crew stations) 2x1 Armory (2 passengers apparently) 2x1 Infirmary 2x1 Workshop 2x1 Captain's Quarters Maybe 2x1 All-in-One Berth (2 passengers) The above not incidentally has all the crafting stations except cooking (which would need the mess hall). Other components as yet undetermined. A future class C 'battlecruiser' is planned for 8 crew and a good few more hab sections. It will be a pointed wedge shape with everything quite compactly assembled to present the smallest target (relatively). It will have two weapons astradle the bridge and one each at the top of the wedge, the very bottom, and at the edge of either wing side. There will be no direction from which an enemy can approach without being able to be engaged by at least four auto-turrets. SF40 SHEARED FLOW Class C REACTOR (40 power) 6x PBO-300 AUTO ALPHA TURRET (3 power each) one bank of six. 1x Assurance SG-1800 Shield Generator (12 power) 2x Poseidon DT230 Engine (4 power each) 900T He3 Tank Cockpit (2 crew) 2x1 Control Station (4 crew) 3x1 Deimos Engineering Bay A (1 crew) 3x1 Deimos Engineering Bay B (1 crew) 2x1 Infirmary 2x1 Workshop 2x1 Captain's Quarters Mess Hall 2x1 Living Quarters (2 passengers) 2x1 All-in-One Berth (2 passengers) 2x1 Armory (2 passengers) 2x1 Science Lab (2 passengers) Brig Both these ships will require Starship Design to be at level 4 (and the big ship piloting 4), but meeting the requirements for Starship Design should be relatively easy just in the process of building these ships. Just a matter of the capital to acquire the components and a few levels for perks. Meeting the requirements for Piloting 4 will be a piece of cake with the first Mantis build.
@@StrongAzzGamer I don't know yet. I assume I'm going to have to fly all over the place with the ships in various states of construction while I find the parts. I do not yet have the game running. I'm getting all my info from RUclipsrs and very early web sites, planning stuff in anticipation of playing.
@@StrongAzzGamer I've been playing (obsessively) for the last three days. I have indeed kitted out the Mantis Ship and it does indeed get wonderful reactions from pirates and the like. Sadly I have found NONE of the fancy gear above. I have however kitted the ship out with the best I 'have' found. I have a power 20 power plant and a fairly nice grav drive, both class A. The Razorleaf (the ship from the Mantis quest) has two of the nicest class A engines in the game, very powerful and use only two power each. I have six Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojectors in a single bank each drawing two power. That one bank of six is all the weapons it has, all it needs. Enemy ships just melt. 12 power for the weapons, 4 for the engines and 4 for the class A shield means the power plant with generates 20 power can fully power every necessary ship system in a fight. It has 100 mobility, and has no problem keeping ships in its crosshairs for the few seconds it needs to destroy them.

I feel like i missed a tutorial or some mission that was supposed to help me
For sure. Just head to a spaceport technician like the one right at the landing pad in New Atlantis. Tell him you want to modify your ship. Then go to the Ship Builder menu, and find an empty connection point on the Razorleaf marked by a blue circle. Then tab over to "Cargo" and select one of the small cargo modules to attach to it. Voila, you're good to go. But just note that the Razorleaf is a small ship and only an A class, so it is VERY limited. If you want cargo space, best to upgrade to a better ship entirely.
Hey if you're lost online with all the useless guides and search results not telling you how to start, it is in your outpost. the bigger landing pad allows you to build ship there. meaning you don't have to delete existing ship to build new if you use that instead of landing in cities and modifying existing ships.
Ive been watching videos to see if this game is worth and all ive gotten is it is overly complicated for no reason. It like if min maxing armor stats in D2 was the whole game. Why are AAA games getting so damn complicated? Remnant 2 was perfect in this regard every game seems to be adding levels of complexity for no reason.
This game has complex systems but by no means do you HAVE to participate in them. You can play the game 200+ hours and not build a single outpost or do any crafting or build any ships. Its only as complex as you want it to be. You can just buy or find stuff the whole way
I'm level 17 won't bother till I'm around level 30. My standard Mantis is good enough till l level up pilot and ship design ect. Can just do simple ugrades if needed, getting plenty of cash already doing ground missions.
To be clear, I have no skin in your silly console war, I’m a PC gamer. But, if we’re being honest, Starfield is just shit, guys, come on. The “ship builder” is basically a Lego set. Cool, I guess, if you’re into Lego. But come on, what kind of self respecting space game relegates space travel to the click of a button and sometimes a very basic cutscene? That’s the main feature of space, it’s vastness, and the random interesting discoveries that you find while traveling between celestial bodies. But no, Starfield uses a point, a click, maybe a cutscene, exit ship, and done. And don’t even get me started on the shitty little orbital instances that they call space gameplay… I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this game is straight trash. To be fair, though, it might have been good had it come out in like 2010… but in 2023, I’m sorry, it’s just not good.
How do you add engines? That tip is useless. Can i buy a piece of metal eith some duct tape that has a connection point to add that engine the game is magically describing. No? Cool. Go figure. To add another engine, you need another generator and dive. Yadda Yadda, and you can't have more than one generator and drive. So cool
This video wasn't helpful at all. Nothing in this assisted me in building a ship that looks like a hamburger 🍔. What's the point of building a ship if: When you buy a ship, it has a mass, that is at it's exact limit 🤨. So you CANNOT add on any modules whatsoever. You can make your ship lose parts. Great. So I get to remove pieces that would cost me more money to have an even smaller ship than it was when I started. WTF? And why is it when I buy a ship. It is in it's perfect assembly pattern. So if I wanna augment how my parts are arranged, I get 55555667542367 million warnings saying that my build method is retarded. I can't flip, switch, turn, bend any connection point anywhere because it's custom coded by the Bethesda team and they didn't even bother putting any tutorials in game for this shit. Why. WHY?! WHY!!!! WHY! WHY! This video literally never brought any of that up, or helped me get around these issues that other gamers have. All I want is a FKN hamburger 🍔 ship. What crew members "Passively" research project schematics for me? Who. Who! Who!!!!?
You were extremely lucky in your choice of Username 9 years ago...however unfortunately your "Faction" in Starfield sucks balls...i joined the Crimson Fleet and slayed your Commander down and commandeered his ship..despite his attempts to thwart me.

You can just buy or find stuff the whole way
I wanna finish Armored Core 6 before i start Starfield, but man the videos are awesome! GGTV
Level 29 and just found out you can build and modify ship😅
I'm level 17 won't bother till I'm around level 30.
My standard Mantis is good enough till l level up pilot and ship design ect.
Can just do simple ugrades if needed, getting plenty of cash already doing ground missions.
It honestly pisses me off how much money everything cost to build a ship at the end
Shipbuilding kindergarten. This is stuff one discovers in the first 20 minutes of being in shipbuilder
How have you played 100 hrs ?
Wait. So I spent 12k credits to register my ship. But I can’t even update it unless I have the “skill”?! Lame.
I'm keeping the starter ship until Endgame
Ha ha, we play so much destiny is inevitable we name our ships after things from the game!
You can steal ships I was on a moon and seen a ship land I went in it an flew off never flew a shot the guys were walking around lol
When you going back to destiny?
Probably once I'm done with my starfield coverage
I spent some hours messing with this and I’ll be honest, it feels half baked.
Nah it’s just baby proof
Skill issue

No skill go back to cod
Loading the game
a lot of talking but very little explaining of the UI
How do you add engines? That tip is useless. Can i buy a piece of metal eith some duct tape that has a connection point to add that engine the game is magically describing. No? Cool. Go figure. To add another engine, you need another generator and dive. Yadda Yadda, and you can't have more than one generator and drive. So cool
I've been playing for 5 days, and this game is a mess!
Total let down, they got my 100 bucks
Who. Who! Who!!!!?
This vidro is useless
You were extremely lucky in your choice of Username 9 years ago...however unfortunately your "Faction" in Starfield sucks balls...i joined the Crimson Fleet and slayed your Commander down and commandeered his ship..despite his attempts to thwart me. What say you sir? I shall meet you at dawn with pistols...
Too sophisticated. I rather delete the game.
My man if this is too sophisticated you need to stick to minesweeper.
@@TrueVanguard Far Cry, Crysis, Tanks is my thing. Instead of game like this I better study an academic course.
Holy shit. I havent done a single upgrade in Starship Design and I need like 10 skill points just to unlock it. I couldnt do certain missions because my ship cant be upgraded.
I think this is the only thing they got right in this game.
