you're too young to know this song's history, it was originally recorded by Dionne Warwick. But Warwick, sitting silently there in the audience (along with Janet Jackson), could not believe what Vandross did to her song and finally shed a few tears.

I worked overseas as a contractor for a decade, long distance relationships are only hard if you allow them to be or you’re undisciplined. If you both want it, it will work out. However, once you hit a certain point discussions need to be had because it can’t be forever

I am 61 years old, and this is my advice. You really already answered your own question. You said, "You can't make a house a home yourself, you really need someone there, At least that is what I need". What is the point of being in a relationship if you can't touch, hug, hold, kiss them etc... If it's not important enough for you guys to find a way to be together, then maybe it's not your destiny. Don't settle, life is too short.

I’ve been in a few long distance relationships and the only way it has a chance IMO is if there is an end date. You both need a light at the end of the tunnel to work towards. If you love each other and know that the situation is only temporary then it can work. Good luck to you as I think you are a very fine person and deserve to be happy
