My dad died 32 years ago now and I still see things that remind me of him and I think “ ooo dad will love that” or “ that will make dad smile”. I lost my dad two weeks after giving birth to my pre mature son, a few days before his birthday. I found out right after they told me I couldn’t take my son home yet and he was losing weight. Thank God my son pulled through. My dads passing was very sudden and unexpected. My condolences to all of you still missing them. It’ll be a year in two months and it still feels like yesterday.

I dont think I've ever properly grieved. So, I'm using this time to grieve with you. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. It means more than you will ever know.❤️

Thank you for being so open... This is healing, the measure of how much a person meant, is only found in the weight of their loss to those affected by them... Rest well to your dad... My mom died when I was 21, I'm 50 now, and it still hurts at times, and at times it's tears of laughter at all the fun times we had.

When I saw this a few months ago, I cried for you and others because I heard your pain, but couldn't imagine what this is like. October 19, 2023, I no longer had to imagine...I know that pain all too well. I had 47 years with my Dad and they flew by. Thinking of how i now only having my Dad in pictures...but those pics captured his presence and energy. Makes it difficult to grasp the concept of death and simultaneously tells me how final Dad's not being here is. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm so sorry I don't have any words to soothe your pain..
