Beautiful job. I just finally retired mine last Tuesday after a good almost 10 years of service. Great little phone, only thing I ever replaced was the battery. And the only thing that quit was the power/lock button.
mongosragnarok trust me those power buttons do stop working overtime! But it’s not really a big deal you can replace the cable or put some washer or something on the button. The button stops working because the black aculator helper wears down or comes off overtime and that’s what’s pressing the actual button. All you need is something to make a `bump’ on the middle of the button so that can press the button since the metal top button piece Is flat underneath and the aculator sticks up from the button. You can find videos on that. But I can assure the actual button mechanism isn’t broken. Hope that helps!
As someone who was on Verizon for quite some time, I’ll let you in on why this iPhone doesn’t have a SIM card tray. Verizon used to not use SIM cards at all, regardless of phone. How they were tied to your phone number/account was an Electronic Serial Number (ESN) that was usually located under the battery or in the phone menus. You’d have to call up Verizon anytime you needed to switch over your phone, rather than just swap the card. Also, if you had got a phone that was flagged as lost or stolen, it wouldn’t be able to use it at all (learned that the hard way from an EBay sale). They then finally started using SIM cards from iPhone 5 onward.

Oh boy this is a long explanation. Here in the US there are 2 types of radio technologies and frequencies still. GSM the well known universaly used and CDMA: Verizon and Sprint. When iPhone first came out it only had a gsm antenna and was exclusive to at&t but then later Verizon "CDMA" also obtained the rights to sell and use iPhones on their Network. Problem was that Verizon only uses the "CDMA" standard so Apple released this device close to the 4s release Wich was the first to use both CDMA and GSM radios in one.
