As pointed out. You need a matching trigger to be able to trigger your flash/strobe off camera 📸 haven’t mentioned you need one in the video however it’s essential you have one, right now if you work with a single strobe/Speedlight
@@kennyconfidence7567 technically yes you can. You just need to keep in mind that your speedlight will loose some power because of the diffusion of the softbox. However you can compensate with settings for it
Cool vid! 👌 Question. What outdoor light would you recommend for smartphone portrait photography please? I'm trying to keep the situation as portable as possible as I don't drive. 😉
Thanks. Glad the video was somewhat helpful. I personally don’t shoot much portraits with my smartphone. However my first thought would be. A reflector light weight and easy to carry around. Which would be one option. Elsewise any sort of continuous light would do, I guess such as like Godox ml60. Fairly small and portable. Comes with handle bar and battery mount and softbox bought in a kit
These are all great suggestions! I started with LED bulbs, using metal reflectors from a home improvement store, I then moved on to speed lights and soft boxes. Had I seen your video, I would have opt for the speedlights from the start. I did invest in a ExpoDisk for white balance and only until recently added a flash light meter.

Nice tutorials. Quick question, can i use just one of this particular size of softbox and one godox tt520ii manual speedlight for full body picture

One problem. You never mentioned a trigger you need to fire the flash
