- I bought the last naturally aspirated Porsche 911 Carrera ever. A 991.1 4s. Let me know what I should do to it! Should I lift it and turn it into an off road 911?

I am in the same boat. Have a 2014 991.1 4s, its such a joy to drive these machines. I would recommend weight reduction for the car. Heres a list of what i have done so far:
1. Replace stock battery with Lithium battery thats about 30lbs saved
2. Remove spare tires 30 lbs saved
3. ordered forged light weight rims 38lbs more to be saved
4. Exhuast mod coming another 8lbs to be saved.
So in total the car will go through about 106lbs saved. So far I have the first 2 the car already feels so much lighter. I think weight saving is the best mod i have done to any car.
Those are some good options! I definitely want to change the wheels in the future and an AWE switchpath will be getting added soon. Or the Armytrix full catback. I cant decide yet. either way weight reduction is a major key 👍
@@corsacaleb Yes Weight reduction is the way to go, its non invasive doesn't cost much(if we are reasonable :D) and it pretty much improves all performance aspects of the car.

I bought one last August and to be honest, I was looking for one with these stock wheels. To me it's the best looking because it looks elegant and serious, business looking.

@@corsacaleb I haven't done much to it actually. It was already wrapped (Clear PPF) when I bought it so that was good. But ti's winter in Vancouver and the car's been in hibernation since mid November. And tonight till next week will be snowing everyday 😞

Congrats on your purchase! Beautiful spec. The 991 is my favorite gen of 911 along with the 993. Personally, this is my dream car. The 4s is perfect for daily driving. I'm still at least 5 years from entering the 911 market, but this is the model I would get. You brought up a great point about the inflation aspect as well. I also think these are underrated, considering they're the last N/A engines. I know there's a lot of speculation regarding the last few N/A models, specifically the 997, which may skyrocket over time in value. Good thing is I don't care for the 997, and think the 991 is a far more modern and superior car overall. Tangent aside, enjoy many years of safe and most importantly fun driving with your new 911!

Otherwise great choice. I'm a previous vette owner x4, but have a 2019 991.2 4 GTS. Absolutely love it and no changing now!!!
Just bought the 4s black with black interior. Did the 3m wrap white aluminum which is really close to gt silver. Mainly changing because it’s hot in Fla. Not sure how to send you the pics. Added the matte black stone guard, black rear emblem, side lower door badges, and bought the matte black GTS vent. Really came out incredible. It was a tough call between the white aluminum and the chalk grey.
That sounds sick! The GTS black vent fit on the 991.1? Cant go wrong with either color imo

This is exactly what I am shopping for but prices in Canada haven’t come down yet… usually delayed by a few months from the US.
The spec is perfect for a daily. Honestly man, don’t wrap with any colour. Get a paint correction and clear PPF. Will hold its value really well.

youre the perfect person to ask this lol. I'm currently in the market for a sports car, and my choices atm are 991.1 2s, c8 convertible, and 2021+ m5c. Why did you decide to go with a 911 after the c8? Now that you've owned it a bit would you pick the 911 over the c8 if you had the choice?
I wish I could reply to this with a video lol. I have always wanted a 911 and wanted one that would hold value better than my C8 (that I paid over MSRP for). Selling the C8 I figured it was time to scratch that itch and get into my first N/A P car. After having my 991.1 4S for over a year, I think that platform is the best OVERALL semi exotic sports car you can buy under 80k as long as you open it up with an exhaust. The N/A 3.8 with an exhaust is arguably one of the best sounding underrated combos in the car world today. (I daily drove an E92 M3 with the 8400rpm V8 for 3 years so sound and emotion is up my alley) It gets dismissed as being “just a Carrera” a lot of the time unfortunately even though the engine is similar in power to a 997 GT3. That being said: do I miss the low end torque of the C8 and the newer technology once in a while? Yes. Do I miss the stigma that comes with owning a C8? No. The aura and ownership pride of a 911 is better in that category and that’s nothing against Corvette as a whole but the owners do some wild stuff to their $80,000+ cars that makes me scratch my head. BUT with dealerships offering 10% off MSRP on new built C8’s that package is very hard to pass up as the car itself is amazing from a pure performance and looks standpoint it checks a lot of boxes. (I have been on the spec builder a lot building out stripper C8’s for 70k and at 70k brand new with a warranty it’s tempting to go back sometimes.) That being said, the powertrain is somewhat vanilla compared to the high revving and exotic sounding 9A1 3.8 in the 991.1. The C8 is faster in a straight line by a bit but the 991.1 is surprisingly no slouch for only having 400hp and 325tq. (I was shocked how much faster it felt compared to my E92 M3) Overall it’s tempting seeing the prices of brand new C8’s come down, but I am loving my 911 and would recommend it.
M5C would be a no for me personally as I can drive a dad sedan when I need backseats.

@@corsacaleb I appreciate the response and detailed explanation! Right now for me, it's getting to experience that c8 for a great price. Some 2020-1s are going for low 70s that come with a convertible and z51, 2lt+. On the other hand, as you mentioned a 911 is more of an exotic feeling. Where I live there's a great amount of them but I still like them and think they're great value. But I looked yesterday and noticed that there are 991 turbos sitting at low 100. I may have to spend the extra money. Originally didn't want to go over 80k for my first sports car. And being a young business owner I've thought so much about that stigma and first impression between both cars lol.
I agree the package at the current prices for a C8 are great value. It’s all about what you want in a fun car. The C8 also looks extremely exotic but I agree they are a dime a dozen now driving around. As for the low 100’s that opens up an entire new fleet of possibilities. AMG GTC, and Turbo S would be my pick at that price point but for smiles/$ I love the 991.1. C8 still competes performance wise with those 100k cars too. If I were you I’d just go test drive a C8 and a 991.1 C2S if possible.
Great vid man! Can’t really give you any feedback on wrap color combo. I would do a clear PPF wrap and maybe do some HRE or Rotiform rims in a satin copper. Curious to know what you paid for it. I know you stated under 80K. Thanks brother!

The headlights? They were ordered with the car. PDLS LED upgrade

911 - does it feel fast enough for a 2014? It’s pretty good I side for a 2014… 29k miles nice and low
It feels fast enough to have fun in 100%. Slightly slower feeling than my previous C8 but much faster than my old E92 M3. B58 will be faster straight line but a 911 is a 911. 991.1 sound is intoxicating. Working on some more uploads with this 4S. Has an exhaust now.

I got the same 4s, but not sport steering wheel. I’m thinking upgrade to 991.2 steering wheel. Any recommendations?
I am also thinking about doing it. It’s possible and I believe we can use 718 wheels as it’s the same as the 991.2. I’d search around on eBay
