- Featuring the beautiful vocals of Lorna Lim, accompanied by brother Sonny Lim on guitar with her sister Nani on ukulele, harmonies... and directing the hula. Filmed high atop Kohala Mountain on the grounds of Kahua Ranch. In remembrance of their Mom, Mary Ann Lim, seen sharing lei with her family and friends at the beginning of the video.

The Lim family are an angelic choir from heaven and brother’s guitar is sweet nectar . Before I die I would like to experience their live performance along with their beautiful dancers . I saw them perform on “Na Mele” and I am a fan for life . They were nurtured by their parents who were true masters and teachers of Hawai’i.

Thanks for your kind comments. Our story is about a family gathering, sharing music and dance. This video is approximately 87% of the time showing the dancers movements, concentrating on their hands and faces which use a kind of sign language to illustrate the words of the story.

I think this family began its heritage of wonderful songs of Hawaii many years ago. Because my mother mentioned sewing several outfits for them. Circa 1980s. Wow, such harmony. When you listen to their music, it takes you back to your roots.

back in the early 80's I would roam the grounds of Coco Palms... I would hanapa da lychee in da employee parking lot every year... there was "Pilikia" the monkey back by the tennis courts... body surf Wailua and try to buy beer at Kinipopo..... Saw Larry Rivera playing steel guitar 6 ft from my face having no idea of who he was...I would smile and applaude but he was aloof...The Hindu Haoles would come down from their temple in the Homesteads.. and drink double Manhattans... and people would judge them.....Torch lighting was surreal.."the Hawaiians measured time by the moon , Mahina.... Dong Kim plowed a Corvette into a Coconut tree with some other fellow and were killed instantly going up to the homesteads.H e was celebrating his birthday... The Hawaiian girl whose brother was a Hula dancer saw ghosts in the City of Refugee on the lydgate side one night an old time missionary and two hula girls in Ti leaf attireThanks for the memories and the beautiful Hula with English subs... the Hawaiians are quite aware of the beauty of their Islands on many differnt levels Thank you from the depths of my soul...
