actually a lot of the time with a tune like this on a TDI will actually get you better MPG, i’ve seen another stage 2 tune for these that get you 30HP 70TRQ and 10% increase in fuels economy👍
I went into PG Performance in Surrey to ask about Tunes for my 2015 Jetta TSI and they told me they dont have any available for the 1.8T ?? Looking for some help!
If you are worried about clutch and didn't tune yet, go unitronic stage 1 or stage 1+. As long as you aren't beating on it all the time and launching the hell out of it the clutch will be fine.
In so many of them it depends on the model the options there are 1.8 t's with the regular automatic with the manual with the DSG it really depends on the trim you have
@@arsenyrazhkov4559 Thanks man you reply super fast! Is there anyway you give me a link to a website you get your stuff from or link to parts.... if not it’s cool ty so much! the dual exhaust looks so sick😂😂 I wanna do that one....
Ok. I have the 1.4t. I want to do similar/ same mods to the engine and exhaust that you do. That is cool you have almost 300 hp on the jetta. Do do any track days or backroading in that car? How does the car handle under extreme load from turning and have you thought about doing upgrades to the suspension. I want to autocross mine. I really want to do rally cross but I don't even have a lsd so I'd have to find one I guess
@@mirabal1238 it’s just a street car, under load it’s literally like a tank, you can definitely feel The German quality. As for Suspension upgrades, I have bilstein B8 shocks coming to accommodate the lowering springs. (Stock shocks cannot handle for extended period of time).
Cts turbo, apr and unitronic intercoolers are pretty lame, it’s not a true fmic, check out arm or nuespeeds fmic they are true fmic’s and then you won’t have your intercooler sandwiched between your radiator and ac radiator, not to mention if you remove your lower grill trim you can see the fmic and will get that awesome “tuner” look
It’s technically for the gen 3 2.0 but the 2.0 and the 1.8 TSI motors are identical besides stroke. So any bolt on made for the ea888.3 2.0 TSI will fit the ea888.3 1.8 TSI. For example I purchased the turbo back exhaust for the mk6 2014 Jetta GLI with 2.0 gen 3 TSI and it bolted right up to my Jetta SE with the 1.8 gen 3 TSI perfectly without any fitment issues. I plan to buy the FMIC from ARM motor sports with the stock intercooler delete plates relatively soon and will be installing it. I can let you know how it goes if you have any doubts but I can assure you it will fit.
@@NOTaGLI thanks for the info man! I’m just taken aback, because if everything’s the same besides the stroke, why does the website not mention that it’s also compatible with the 1.8T gen 3? And yes! DM me on Instagram to let me know how it goes
I'm not exactly sure. Our engine doesn't get the attention it deserves, poor R&D if you ask me. If you take a look at unitronic's cts turbo's and apr's intercooler upgrades, the all specifically say " for 2.0 and 1.8 TSI". Most companies specifically cater to the 2.0 because it can make more power. CTS turbo just finished R&D and starting rolling out a big turbo for our cars and unitronic developed the stage 3 software but they only have a file for the 2.0 and some people on the mk6 jetta/gli forum reached out to see where they were on development for software for the 1.8 and they basically said it's not happening. So we have a big turbo but no software lol just another example of how our engine gets the short stick.
@@NOTaGLI yup we definitely get the short end of the stick. I was planning on buying the big turbo upgrade. Hopeful that Unitronic will pull through and actually make the stage 3 software. On a more positive note, I’m sure you can purchase the big turbo and get a pro tune/custom dyno tune for it at a local speed shop.
I can't believe that you can get these beautiful amazing engines in a $20,000 car
You guys are great - keep doing your thing with these videos
Now that you've done these mods, what kinda mpg hit are you seeing
I have apr intake and down pipe and I get around 25 combined when I drive like a normal human but when I have fun it’s around 17-18
Nice job bro
Is the exhaust stock from the downpipe back? Love the noises but I want a quiet car sleeper
Yes, and exactly!
Cool because your sound is what I'm after. Older now, younger days I had a straight piped LS1 Trans Am lol

Where you get your 1 and 2 stage?
Would you recommend this for a 2017 Passat with the automatic tiptronic (not dsg)
Depends, do you still have warranty? If yes, are you willing to throw away the warranty as any ecu tune will void warranty.
Have you put an upgraded clutch in yet?

Try RPi in Richmond
how did you get stage 2 in the US?
is this the 1.4 or the 1.8? also do you need an upgraded clutch for stage 1?
It’s recommended

My CTS intake makes that same noise at high rpms. I hear that's the harmonics of the intake and it's normal.

No.
