I don't like it growing I accidentally got mine trying to just get a Toyota that could tow and be safe for my kid and now that ik how awesome it is I want them to stay cheap so I can buy a bunch lmfao
Great video! I am in the midst of rebuilding my 05 Sequoia Limited (purchased four months ago). So far I have replaced 5 bulbs, both stabilizer links, air bag recall done by Toyota (all other recalls have been done), repaired the 4 wheel drive (by reconnecting a vacuum line! My 4 wheel drive literally went from not working to working perfectly!), replaced lift gate handle, cable and actuator, installed weather tech mats, replaced all five tires, new muffler, replaced tranny cooler lines, new battery, and a lot more smaller stuff such as some minor rust removal on the body. I also found a way to disable the TPMS and Height Control indicator lights on my dash as my suspension pillows have been converted to coil springs. I did all of these repairs myself except for the muffler welding, paint and tires. 258K, just took it to WV and back, and no issues (besides a darn bolt in my tire). Still have the tailgate weatherstripping to replace (part ordered), finish paint on two small rust repairs, center caps and speaker repair to complete. I am going to attempt to replace the foam on my JBL door speakers, they make a kit for it and I just received it in the mail. I need new headlight assemblies, may try the re-polish kit. The Sequoia is an awesome vehicle and you did some amazing upgrades and inspired me to replace the lift gate weather stripping (I was considering just painting it).
Wow that is alot of time and money invested. Know you will have a really reliable vehicle for along time coming.

I’ve got an ‘02 and ‘03. Working on mine. Already installed a 3” body lift, with new AT tires and rims, etc. After I’m finished with this one, I’ll start on the ‘02. That grille is a definite add-on!

Ooohhhh, so THAT’s why I could only find gray and tan interiors.
See? Learned something new.
Although I suppose if I really wanted to get nuts, I could have the seats reupholstered in black or charcoal gray.
Also didn’t know I could use ‘05-‘07 headlights on an ‘04 because most aftermarket headlight manufacturers list the ‘01-‘04 as a different fit.

I have a 2001 sequoia got it from a one owner dealer maintained.
It had 118.000 miles on it in pristine condition, people where calling me nuts that I got that vehicle now I’m glad I got it.
Best vehicle I’ve ever owned..it has a 150.000 miles now still running like brand new.
I agree the sequoia is a sweet vehicle and probably the best I've e er owned.

It's looking good!! I can't wait to get one. After my 06 Town and Country dies, I'm definitely getting one. And man, will that thing be taken care of. If only you knew what I've done to this van so far (things I've replaced, mostly preventative maintenance, but replaced nonetheless). You should see my youtube and browser history. It's nothing but 1st gen sequoia, lol. This video was actually recommended. I wasn't going to say no to watching, though. I love hearing about this thing. Thanks for the video. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Yes no doubt the sequoia is king of the road. Great power and reliability. Mpg is about 15 to 17mpg. But I wouldnt trade mpg for reliability. Keep your eye out an a good deal will come your way

I'm looking into both dash cam and backup camera. They are on the to do list.
Recently did a detail on my 2006 Toyota tundra that I just purchased with 246,000 miles. Mechanically it’s sound but service records from 150,000 and up I do not have. So I’m going to do a timing belt, radiator coolant, transmission oil change and differential for now. And looking forward for another 200,000 to 300,000 miles of it.

Where did you purchased the new seats from?
Our Sequoia has 250xxx and still running strong. Bought brand new in January 07 and it's limited with the beautiful OEM 18" BBS and air suspension.
That's a nice sequoia I love the BBS wheels such a nice touch

If you look in the owners manual, it shows how that 3rd row seatbelt stows in the ceiling. It's a bit odd, but it works.

You can replace the driver's seat bottom cover with factory matching leather for $200. Did it to my '06, looks new now.
I paid 300 bucks for driver pass and rear seats I got lucky finding them.

Did you add the newer steering wheel? I notice it has the volume controls on it but I thought they didn’t ah e those till 2005?
The steering wheel is stock. It come factory that way on my limited trim level.

For the led lights did you have to run any kind of relay for the led power
No relay needed for the LED lights.
