The Ball Chiller is by far my favorite feature on my 03 Sequoia. I never knew half of these features existed, although I don’t have a couple of them because I don’t have the Limited, I just have the SR5, but I actually have most of them
Yes the ball chiller is one of my favorites aswell. The sequoia is a mechanical marvel and was way ahead of it's time and has alot of upgrades I like. It can still go toe to toe with any modern SUV. I feel like it's even better than most newer SUVs. You can actually work on it. I love it with all my being.
@@munnday86 yeah, I recently bought a 2013 Tundra for towing and hauling since, and the only this that that the tundra has over the sequoia is the timing chain vs the belt in the sequoia, and the fact that it’s 4x4. Other than that, the sequoia wayyyy outclasses it in terms of features. It’s super disappointing to me that it was never all that popular

Thank you for making me want this more. I wanted a 4Runner for the rear window roll down, but now that I know the Sequoia’s can do it too, I now want it. Plus it’s cheaper than a 4Runner 😉

Great video.👍 I've had the exact same vehicle for 20 and I NEVER would have guessed the fob opened the front windows and sunroof 😮.., you really don't learn something new every day. Also those 3rd row seats not only tumble, tilt and remove, they also go forward and they tilt back. backwards.

Thanks for a video, I learned a few things I didn;t know. I'm impressed you are averaging over 15 mpg. My '07 SR5 RWD only averages 12.9

@@munnday86 it's running lean in bank 1 and 2, according to the codes being generated with check engine light diagnostic tool. Have narrowed the problem down to either fuel filter or fuei pump or both, which are scheduled to be replaced next week.
& pro-tip, if you want to reset your Average mpg to see how you do on a certain trip, press & hold the outer 2 buttons on the upper display until it shows zero

Could you send a link to we’re you got the weather tech floor mat, I can’t find one like that on there website.
The only cargo area one they have just covers the cargo area and does not go into the third row like yours.
Lot of packed goodies in the limited.. I have an SR5 with nothing other than leather and the optional rear air height adjustment. One feature I would of like was those folding mirrors. This car is wide and have to fold to get inside garage
The ball chiller is by far, THE BEST FEATURE on the 1st gen Seqouias. When I saw that seeing my Seqouia for the first time, I bought it immediately. I also have a Wii in my Seqouia which makes it by far the best Seqouia ever.

I am having a problem getting my vents at chest level to come on for heat. They seem to work for cold.. is that correct or do I have an issue ??

If you want to reset the MPG meter hold both outer information center buttons for 3 sec. Useful if you're trying a different brand/grade of gas or if you change tire size etc.
Thanks for the tips man! My 06 only came with the valet key so I can't roll the windows up/down or even unlock the doors for that matter.

I went ahead and subscribed to your channel. Sweet looking ride man.
Be careful with the valet key. Mine came with only a valet key and it sometimes would come out of the ignition without fully turning off. I’d get a flashing key light and sometimes it would take a minute or more to get the key recognized again so I could start it. A few times it took more than a few minutes.

I bought the seats local. I was going to recover them myself but I lucked out
you can also remove the middle row seats, it takes using some tools but it's well worth it if you need the space to haul building materials.
We didn’t use any tools. Just out our hands. It is that simple. Love it

Fyi those seatbelt looking straps on the bottom of your 2nd row seats that are visible when you flip the seats forward are there to prevent the seats from dropping back down when you accelerate forward. You just hook them to the grab handles located on the B pillar and adjust the lengths of the straps accordingly.
That's is good to know. I never have taken them out of the bottom of the seats. I dont even know if I would be able to roll them up if I tried. thanks
In the 2 years we've had it our 2003 sequoia limited it has become one of our all time favorite vehicles.

What are the straps for on the bottom of the second row seats and how do they work?
I think they strap to the back of the drive and passenger front head rests to stop the middle row from falling down once in the stowed position.

Yes you can flip them down flat just like the 3rd row.

@@hhhq7788 I was looking through the manual and it didnt say anything about it. Just the front 2 windows and sunroof only by the key being in the door handle lock.

I don’t know if I missed it but what year and package is your sequoia exactly? (This might be a long message I’m sorry I’m advance) Love what you’ve don’t to it and how clean it is. How many miles is in yours? I got a 2002 Toyota Sequoia SR5 withe the 4.7 V8 I believe. It’s has about 290,000 miles on though. Theirs random little things that have broke over time. But I got it from the original owner a few years ago and he was a Toyota freak and bought it back when it came out and took good care of it. The mechanic said if I keep maintaining it, that it’ll last me a lot longer. My rear hatch won’t open, and my wire/cord to pull the hood open is broke also but I’m able to get that open just not the rear hatch. Also, the people who got my hatch open last time broke my rear window tracks and said it’s not worth it to fix it all. They were a different mechanic shop. Any tips on opening the rear hatch? I’ve tried a few things but I just took it to get the fluids changed and a block heater replaced. The mechanic said the door is jammed shut and they couldn’t get it open. We’re they possibly just not wanting to deal with it or have you heard of it being jammed so bad they can’t get it open? Is it worth it to get the little things fixed? Interior is almost as clean as yours just a few issues from years of use. Ps. Again… Sorry for the long message
Mine is a 2004 sequoia. You can access the hatch from the inside just remove the panel and try to get to the locking mechanism and open with a screwdriver or coat hanger. I have seen a couple video on the facebook pages of people making a metal latch handle that stick out of the bottom and is directly bolted to the mechanism.

Where did you get the decals on the seats from? Is there one that only says sequoia?
They are vinyl stickers. You can get any that you want and apply them to the headrests. Just clean surface with alchohol and once the vinyl is on. Head up with a heat gun or hair dryer to stick

Like you said I wish they had integrated it into the remote, I can’t think of any reason I’d need to roll down windows with a key if I’m already standing next to it. It would be nice to do when you’re approaching your vehicle to let some heat out in the summer

I added Bluetooth with a. Plug and play gadget. Had to disconnect the DVD player, but I never used it anyway!
Also, the side mirrors motor freaked out and had to be disconnected by unhooking one of the wires in the mirror adjustment button. Forget what color it was ……

That’s what I get on my 01.
My 2004 is at 15.2 after using Castrol Edge hi mileage 5w-20 full synthetic. Also, every 4th or 5th fill up is Shell Premium grade.
@@OutdoorWood so the V8 engine on my 2004 says to use 5W 30. I use extended performance Mobil one plus the same type filter. What type of spark plugs are you using?
I’ve been driving one since 2004 and never knew about both front windows and sunroof opening by holding the key to the right. Thank you for that.
The one feature I do wish it had was to set the seats between key one and keep two. I am 6’1” my wife is 5’3” so it would’ve come in handy.

I wonder how 1 gen is holding compared to 2 gen, some people say 1 gen was the best, 2 has a lot of issues with engine, especially with different kinds of oil leakage etc, I do not if it is true or not. P.S. still haven't picked up perfect Sequoia
