Just started following, I really like the content. I used to be the guy that got rid of my car as soon as it hit 100000 miles and would stop taking highway trips over an hour after the car reached 75000. Now I am enjoying the process of having an older car. I have a 2016 Cadillac XTS that I bought in 2018. Car has just under 100000 miles. I plan to keep it for at least 250000. I have kept up with all maintenance and am religious about oil changes. Car runs as good now as it did when I first purchased it. I had to replace the magnetic ride shocks a few years ago but found a local mechanic who did it for half the price the dealer wanted to charge. Anyway, keep up the good work and I love that you are showing people that you can find good cars for decent money and can run well if you keep up with basic maintenance….In terms of the XTS engine, it’s actually quite bullet proof. GM did a great job with it and many livery drivers get 300000 or more with their XTS vehicles..

Man! Just ordered 2884 springs w/ 5100’s for the front. Went Dobinson in the rear tho. Let us know about that 4WD problem. Curious to hear if it’s the transfer case actuator or ADD

Yes I have same issues. Abs / anti skid comes up / breaks start pulsating when going in to corners / on ramp off ramp get scary to drive. Old crap is junk. One time one of the pulleys got stuck and ripped my new serpentine belt. Too many problems to list.
Nice job. I have 2005 too. You mentioned suspension, but not covered. Does it have air suspension (at rear end)? I did not see buttons to control height. That is where you put USB plug.
I wouldn’t buy it. Ull regret. It’s big in size yes. Lots of space yes but too many issues. Listen to your wife. I just had to purchase a. Awd actuator from Japan for $550 vs dealer asking over $1k. Mine has a rod where transfer case must be opened up to replace it. Called many mechanics and nobody really want to mess with it. One guy quoted me 1250 for labor and he is 5 hours away and he needs 12 hours to replace. Some sequoias come with actuators where rod can be disconnected without messing with transfer case. Not in my case. Another time one of the pulleys got stuck ( spider looking pulley) and it ripped my serpentine belt. Glad it happened when I was near my house and without my kids. It’s mpg sucks too.
Got 300k miles on my 02' Blazer ZR2 4x4. Love her. She still looks new & after a new HD Tranny, all new brakes, brake lines, front shafts, wheel bearings, rear diff locker, a $1k in the 4.3 Vortec engine & much more. She's running better now than my Wife's new car & it's getting better mileage than the sticker (16 town) getting 18 now. Had a $15k offer but passed. I just love her.

I drive a 2002 sequoia with 370 000 kms bought it with 304 000 a few years back still running strong 💪🏼
I always thought the Sequoia was ugly, even the model after this and the newest model. This Sequoia in particular is beautiful 😍. Good job!

I had the same 4x4 issue in my Sequoia. I fixed it by replacing the fuse for the 4x4

Could the brake booster be the reason my brakes sometimes feel almost like the router has bumps on it

It just has normal suspension (no air) and I upgraded it to something a little more substantial for light off roading

I actually did it myself in a weekend and with $250 in parts, but dealers charge $1000-1500 from what I’ve seen
