- What a day….
Im not joking when I say this was the craziest day of my life. This was a HUGE leap of faith for me. My company Something Cool co has NEVER done an event before. The fact that our first event was this big was INSANE. I seriously am so thankful for all the support you guys always show for me & my passion for building cars. This is only the beginning. I don’t know what the future holds for us, but we are just gonna keep chasing our passion.
The cars ran UNREAL all day as well & were able to handle all of the abuse we threw at them. We hit a new 1/4 mile PR in both cars today! Both cars drove home at the end of the day too which was awesome!
We were up till 3am with Matt, E tuning the Honda last night & getting our boost controller working. I know a lot of you that watch the Honda build video’s are probably confused as to how I got the car running so good after that disaster of a dyno day… I promise I will fill you guys in next video. I would just rev to 3.4/4k and just slip the clutch and for upgraded cmc would help with the 2nd gear lock up
Bro your spinning off launch try to ease off the throttle u only have street tires and upgrade your cmc thats probably why your having shifting problems stock cmc sucks on 8th gens
Frosty is right. Upgrade your cmc or try to ajust it . Cant shift into second while its still spinning in those 8th gen
Just wanted to say how much i appreciate your turbo civic series! I’ve been wanting to turbo my 8th gen k24 swap for 3 years now but 3 transmissions rebuilds delayed that. I ordered all my parts and your series really gave me a head start on my build! Congratulations on the sick build brother!

Try not to let it spin to much on first cause it will lock you out of 2nd if ur wheel speed is to much on 1st gear to change to 2nd

You need the Siri moto slave and master cylinder for the clutch. The slave has a delay valve

I would look check the shifter cables/shifter box and also run some synchromesh fluild to remedy those high rpm misshifts. It’s a pretty common thing on the 8th gens especially when you double the hp 😂

You really really need to have your boost by gear setup up correctly. You want minimum boost in first and second, and maybe 10 psi in 3rd, 4th full boost. Also stay out of the water pit and no burnout if you are on street tires, all that does is makes you lose traction off the launch.
all these people saying cmc and slave, i have a fa5 and changed clutch to fx400 6 puck, changed cmc, slave, pedal brace, ams oil synchromesh and i literally still have 2nd gear lockout, every single time.
Maybe cmc adjustment needs to be dialed in more, it took me a few try, but my 2nd is getting in now, I can power shift 2nd gear with ease
@@eternityvang7135 what cmc did you use? i went em1 and changed the rod over. i know how to adjust the clutch, adjust the clutch switch first then back the rod out until it hits the pedal and then give it a half a turn or so forward so its not riding the clutch and the pressure is off the cmc. im telling you i think my front wheel bearing is dragging and causing shifting problems or something. theres a scratchy sound coming from the driver side wheel bearing and i think its causing my shifting issues. people always wanna jump to the trans being the issue or the synchros or the cmc, i think mine is wheel bearing related and constantly dragging the axle causing shift issues.
All 8th gen civic si’s have a 2nd gear lockout the factory CMC has a delay valve in it you can upgrade to the hybrid racing one Ktuned or exedy are all good options. Personally I have the hybrid short shifter and CMC upgrade and it’s amazing.
adjust the clutch master cylinder inside the car, it well almost get rid of the grinds and missed gears!!!
I got an acuity 3 way short shifter and I love it but very expensive
Bro you need to lower the launch control on the civic and if you feel it spinning feather the throttle until it grips you can’t drive it like the subie look into a excedy slave and master

Bro lower that 2 step when launching!! That’s killing you big time 6500 with no slicks at the track suckksss !
You can change your 2 step setting with your steering wheel buttons
Also upgrade your cmc , you’ll definitely be able to hit second gear perfectly

12 anything with a 500whp Subaru is way too close. In my Subaru group with VF39s got 12.5 stripped out, 12.8 backseats out and I got 12.9 full interior with 300whp. We all know VF turbos are maxed at 330whp.
8th gen build I did I just usually always launched second gear and never had issues miss shift jimmyin anymore possibly try it see what ya think?
